      @@iamdflamont The customer pays for - reimburses - all of the merchant's expenses when they pay. This is called Cost Of Goods Sold (COGS), and includes any and all payment processing fees. If the amount that the consumer ultimately pays for payment processing increases from 2 - 2.5% to 3.99%, this is an increase, and can therefore never be considered a "savings". Everything else is semantics and rationalizing a rather significant increase in the profit margin on the account.
