Thanks for a balanced outlook and many portions of deal which I was unaware of. Good to have airport being run by private experienced or enthusiast companies as this will lead to newer ventures being setup. Someone has to start from somewhere and we have seen how pathetic AAI has been in managing airports. GVK were good in maintaining Mumbai airport, hope they rise up again.
It is not that only Adani is winning everywhere, they lost a coveted project in Greater Noida(Jewar).
GVK was compelled to give away Mumbai airport to Adani with sheer pressure applied by central government bosses by using ED, CBI etc. Same is the case for shipping port in Andhra Pradesh. BJP ruined my state.

I can’t comment on ED,CBI or Govt twisting as they are more speculative. Vizag is developing as a port and they highway from Raipur will be a game changer. AP is ruined by state politics and changing capital all the time. Vizag would have been perfect choice but no a greenfield city was preferred.

But their consortium got selected for Hyderabad international airport , everyone has to start somewhere and keep growing

agreed. Adani is pretty cosy with the govt. I really disliked that they tried to stamp their Name onto the airport here in Mangaluru. It was just Mangaluru International Airport before adani took over and tried to call it Adani Airport Mangaluru or something like that. Protests from rationalist associations thankfully made them reconsider it.

1: GVK, GMR etc had no experience when they got the airport deals. So they had to partner with some other experienced airport companies to manage it. Adani is doing the same thing and partnered with Munich airport (Flughafen Munchen).
2: India's first PPP airport is in Kerala and the Company that manage it (CIAL) had zero experience to manage an airport. Yet they did it and is now one of the most successful airport company.

The reason why AAHL bagged the rights to NMIA, is because GVK placed its bid for NMIA through MIAL, not through GVK Airport Developers Ltd.
Since AAHL acquired MIAL, the contract was novated in favour of AAHL.
