Yes, I was using plus or de plus only to mean 'in addition' or moreover.

Merci beaucoup madame , maintenant c'est claire pour moi 🙂💐
J'espère que Claire est d'accord 😄
You are a good teacher
This reminds me of how the word “minute” can mean a unit of time or a very small amount depending on how it’s pronounced.
Cette vidéo est très intéressant.. Merci beaucoup.. Tu est une super prof.. Bisous de jerez 😜
Thank you!
Vous êtes le pilier géant derrière mon succès😍merci beaucoup 💝 bisous bisous😘
Thanks so much! I want to ask, with the example of ‘Tu veux encore un croissant?’ can you replace encore in that sentence with ‘un autre’? Or will ‘encore’ mostly be used in cases like that?
Les deux se disent :) both are correct !
these lessons are so helpful
love from India
merci beaucoup Alexa
Bonjour Alexa
I'm watching Inhuman Resources on Netflix with Éric Cantona (haha I did not know he became an actor!) and I thought about this lesson I just watched a few days ago. The protagonist's wife says, according to the subtitles:
- J'habiterai plus ici. Je supporte plus.
She didn't even use any negation but since she did not pronounce "S" I understood she did not want to stay. But when it's written only, it can be confusing :)
Thanks Alexa 🥰
Thanks teacher
Merci beaucoup.
Thanks again 💖💖💖💖
Merci encore Pourquoi...??
Thank you so much madam
Useful♥️
Vous êtes absolument la meilleure enseignante de français surtout pour pratiquer le français standard contre mes habitudes louisianaises. J'aimerais pouvoir faire quelque chose pour que tu te sentes apprécié!
@@uff3f in Cajun French or Louisiana French, we blend it together or drop words altogether. In Creole French or Louisiana Creole, dropping words and sometimes blending them is the rule. I would assume in Standard French, a clear speaker would separate.
Merci de perpétuer notre langue aux USA malgré les siècles passés. :)
@@uff3f it’s both and depends where you are. There’s lots of administrative areas in France. In standard French they do not drop it. In regional French, in France, they may.
Merci!
I have one month watching Your video Alexia. Your chanel is very helpful to me thank you.
Thank you Alexa.
So can you think of Personne as always being Somebody and the rest of the sentence determines whether it is “somebody” or “not somebody’ which is therefore nobody?
tu es the best prof Alexaaa
Merci encore
That’s super helpful! Thank you! Also, I think ,,Quand même’’ has way too much meanings as well 😂😂
Best french learning for New beginners... Like me..
You are awesome!
Il y a une estudiante tres heureuse avec la leçon!
Vous êtes incroyable, Alexia ❤️
Merci infiniment❤️
Merci Beaucoup Alex. Je t'aime
Thanks
I always knew that it wasn´t going to be easy. kkkk
Je regarderai cet video encore une fois pour apprendre better.
Parfait , Alexa!!
Merci beaucoup ma professeur
Je veux pleurer 🥲😢😭💔
Merci beaucoup madam Alexa
Merci Alexa ! Mais, j'ai encore un petite problème - How do I ask someone to repeat what they just said? Is there a single word like _"Encore, s'il vous plait"_ that could be used? I doubt that is it since using that always gets people confused.
Thank you Alexa..
Please go to 'French with Lya' and see my dozen of comments to her, and know how I have learnt French.
(SHAKEEL)
Merci,
u r really a sweet teacher you look like my mother alexa ma'am I really want a heart from you plsssssssssssss love from India
most beautifully explained, but is the S used in a plus tard?
You don't pronounce it
Alexa, you are amazing :)
Merci alexa pour cett vedio
Bonjour Alexa, great video ... but question on the use of 'de' and 'du' with 'plus' & 'encore', SVP.
why do you say 'Je veux plus DE cafe' but on other sidewe say 'Je veux encore DU cafe'.... thank you
DU (or DE LA) mean SOME in english
Je veux plus DE café = I want more coffee
Je veux encore DU cafe = I still want SOME coffee
I've been in France for 10 months and am finding learning the language super difficult!
Me too. I am from South Africa and have purchased a "petite maison" in the French countryside. Struggling with the language but slowly getting there !
Im in Québec and ready to give up
geniale!!
🌹🌹Bravo 🌹🌹🙏 Madam Alexa 👏
Very useful. I’d like 1 question. In case of “tu veux encore un croissant?”, can it be replaced “ tu veux un autre croissant?”.Thanks.
Yes absolutely. :) And "Tu veux un autre croissant" can be translated in the same way than in english "Tu veux un autre croissant ? Puisque celui-ci n'est pas bon." "Do you want another croissant ? As this on is not good ?"
Thanks
its great to learn foreign language with you
je t''aime beaucoup madam alexa ce lecons tres utile
Haha, it's so fascinating how similar this is to the German "noch" :)
Merci beaucoup, Mme.
What's the meaning of "en train de" in the sentence, please? Don't get how it works.
Je suis en train de manger = I’m in the middle/process of eating.
@@DMC888 Thousand thanks! :) So "Je suis en train de boire du lait" means "I'm drinking milk (right now)", right?
@@julianfernan8041 yep. Very useful in open restaurants when someone interrupts you to sell you roses, DVDs etc.
@@DMC888 Great! Merci beaucoup !
@@julianfernan8041 "être en train de" en frances es igual de "estar + gerundio" ^^
Why there is no liaison between veux and encore, ? (ie, why the letter x in veux is not pronounced, even after the next letter starts with a vowel e)
Some people from the older generation do make the liaison, it happens in songs sometimes also but the liaisons tend to disappear more and more so that's why we don't say veuZencore
@@duckyduke954 Yes, the liaisons were making french sound more fluid. Without them it sounds more brutal.
Dans ce cas, il peut également être traduit par STILL. Avez-vous encore un croissant? Voulez-vous toujours un croissant? Do you still want a croissant?
Alexa thank you for it all
Good
In the context demonstrated, personne means "body." So there is either a (some random) body in the house, or there is no body in the house.
J'ai une question pour la négation "plus".
Que se passe-t-il si la négation est une liaison? Pour l'exemple. "Je n'aime plus écouter de la musique rock ".
On ne prononce pas le s dans la liaison
@@saert8715 vraiment? J'ai pensé que la lettre S prononce comme Z quand il y a une liaison. Ou c'est faux?
@@Gary-pe4ce On peut logiquement la prononcer comme un z, mais je n'ai jamais entendu personne le faire
@@saert8715 d'accord, merci.
@@Gary-pe4ce ;)
Nice 🥰🥰🥰vidio 🥰🥰🥰merci
Merci mon ensegnion
You better say 'mon Professeur' please.
