They don’t make them out of wood because the wood limbs wouldn’t last being compressed 24/7
AT 79 yrs old , I was always fascinated by the 52" Fred Bear Kodiak mag and 48" super Kodiak mag if I'm not mistaken. When I was a boy learning to shoot, the archery store in San Diego had this bow and I as told that they were patterned after the Egyptian chariot bows. One of your latest endeavored hunting bows was approaching this "V" SHAPE RISER Design. I was also privileged to meet Glenn ST. Charles who was a personal friend of Fred Bear. You have the right stuff and desire. Necessity is the mother of invention. GO !
Watching you grow as a craftsman and bowyer over the years has been nothing short of inspirational. Watching your skillset grow as your workshop grows is so cool to see too. When i was your son's age i lived in a tiny country town with one drugstore/maltshop.
I didn't have mo ey to buy a fountain soda so the owners wife came up with what she coined as "Dirty Water"
A glass full of crushed ice water and a couple squirts of fountain syrup. Since they were also a bottle collection dealer; if i brought in two empty pop bottles i could get a Dirty Water free.
I am now 77 and although i have not yet tried LMNT i do drink at least one 64 ounce jug of Dirty Water every day.

As others have said it, an emergency selfbow using only knife and hatchet would be cool to see. And maybe some kind of PVC bow.
The bows from the movie Troy, during the beach battle scene is what is like to you you build. They have a lot of deflex but still look fairly long. It'd be an interesting build.
I think it looked nicer without the leather wrap it hides how nice that wood looks
I just love watching your videos. My uncle taught me how to shoot when I was about 6 and especially during the sumer I would shoot for hours at a time. Unfortunately I have never had the talent or the patience to build my own bow. You sir are one extremely talented individual. Thanks for the vids.
I would like to see you build a emergancy selfbow using only knife and hatchet. Oh, and also a bow with the hard withe pvc.
Scorpion king bow, maybe some authentic dried out sea urchins for broadheads would be quite cool.

A tip you may find useful when using hot glue .. rubbing alcohol makes it release quite easily off most surfaces just a little dab on the hot glue and it'll let go

Hey Kramer, how about a bow like a war bow that can launch a normal to heavy arrow at a very high speed but it is made from one piece of wood. No laminated limbs, not a take down bow, just one piece of wood that can shoot far and accurate. I'm curious what wood would you choose. Thanks for the videos, we appreciate it.

I wonder if you could make bow from Brave?, a Semi Recurve no handle design or possibly Static Recurve design. One of my favorite archery scenes in a movie as movie archery really well done and is a cartoon where Disney could have faked it.
Now in reality bowyers would have had as most common bow in mid medieval era 1200's to 1300's was a slightly wider limb version of an average English longbow where limbs for adult bows were smaller in 64--66 inch range for most some as low as 62 inches or a UK/Irish Shortbow under 60 inches often 58 inches or under using same design as a Scottish Longbow with slightly wider English longbow type limbs.
