Thanks a bunch for watching and taking the time to comment. Glad I could help with opening your Lexus fuel filler door, enjoy the car. I also have a video for the emergency trunk open behind the backseat. Enjoy the car!
You got yourself an awesome car! I know someone who has 200k on the 2001 Lexus ES300 and the thing is going strong. Just consistent oil changes and quality gas ⛽️ I have a few other videos that are just good to know things with this car, hope you take a look. Thanks again.
For those of you that have electric fuel release doors and the car doesn’t get used much. I found I could never open the fuel filler door without hitting the open button half a dozen times. I put grease on every moving surface and it made no difference. Well, I think I’ve solved the problem. Put one drop of a thin lubricant at the base of the latch (part that moves), where it going’s into the solenoid housing. Move the latch and work the lubricant in. I hope that helps somebody. Don’t add too much lubricant or you’ll have a different set of problems
Thanks a bunch for watching my video video and taking the time to comment. Are you saying the manual pull tab did not open your fuel door? When did your fuel door button stop working? Is it possible you have ice around your fuel tank filler door? Thanks for any updates.
@@WheelsTips The button stopped working on Sunday. The emergency tab thing didn't work. Left car in garage and tried again and it's now over 45 degrees today. Something in there is broken. I'm taking it somewhere this week.
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. This is an immobilizer issues and there is little you can do without proper tools. If you have a working key putting the key in the ignition turn to position ON and remove key, do that twice and then get out of the car and try to lock the car wit the key blade so all doors lock, wait 30 seconds open the doors and try to start the car. This is just a simple attempt. Please share an update.
Thanks a bunch for watching and taking the time to comment. What happens when you pull the emergency lever for the fuel door? Is the door seized? Please share an update, thanks.
@@WheelsTipsI can say that I have this same problem do when I pull the emergency trigger I barely opens but not enough to comfortably open it all the way. If you know of any way to fix this please let me know :)
Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. You may want to check your fuses to see if you can restore your fuel filler door. As for the manual pull not working, how did your fuel filler door stop working in the first place?
@@WheelsTips i stopped to put gas ⛽️ and literally as I pressed the button that’s inside the vehicle trunk button it didn’t want to open .i proceed to search up tips and found yours and tried it and didn’t work it …
I have another video with fuses and how to manually open the trunk. As for the manual pull not working your cable must be broken, manual pulls are exactly that manual no electronics, either they work or don’t. Your fuses are under hood and behind your coin holder.
@@WheelsTips if I’m pressing the button and of the lever and original gas button opener and it shows that it’ wants to barely open do you think it’s the fuses still?
