What makes lost media valuable? It's not special if it's not remembered or able to be seen. Frankly, any old media is special. It's somehow more fresh than the cookie cutter structure of media today.

Unearthing (and preserving) lost media is such a noble art…all of these were the beloved creations of artists at some point, no matter how minor. Ensuring their survival is a kindness to those artists.

There's something about this that just warms my heart, media preservation is so important and it's so delightful to see people who pour so much time into finding what's been lost, no matter if it's a full film or just a few seconds long commercial from 2002. Happy holidays, y'all, here's to hoping 2023 is a good year for lost media too

No clue bro. My name is Meredith and people always called me Mere (pronounced like a female horse) so it just stuck. I guess I’m Mere (as in merely) now. This is my new life.
This makes me realize I need to upload a lot of stuff. My grandmother was a VHS hoarder. She recorded just about everything starting from 1978 to 2020. Literally a million VHS tapes saved in tubs all labeled with shows for her grandkids and other gems. Lots of lost media within that garage.
Ray Mona has been truly a saint in the Lost Media community ! Her findings and investigations to these kind of media is so well done. She truly deserves more recognition for her involvement :)
Ray has such a gift of finding lost media, I’m so jealous of her. I never thought the Mean Girls DS game would be more than just an urban legend, but then she went and did that! And she keeps on doing it! She’s definitely one of the Lost Media greats
The Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep DVDs were actually distributed and produced by Studio Ghibli, because Nick Park and Hayao Miyazaki are close friends. We have Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli to thank for the Sumitomo commercial getting found. In fact, the Aardman style was the inspiration for the 3D CGI style in Earwig and the Witch.

I’m so glad the Mr. Rogers Christmas special got found! The Bear in the Big Blue House pilot too. A lot of good finds. A lot of BITBBH stuff was found this year, like the whole show and *that* outtake.
Unfortunately, there’s about 9 episodes of Bear in the Big Blue House that are NOT Available on Disney plus (including part two of the Christmas episode) But I believe that Disney still has the episodes saved in the archives, so hopefully those episodes will be available soon
I like how when most lost media is found, the reason given is “when user Reesespuffs_milk102 discovered the whole series that was lost for 100 years on a usb under their shoe”
Lost Media Reasons be like: "KADN Cool like us ID found by User SnapCZFan96 because the VHS was found in a sleazy shop that their Half-Brother's father ran."
@@ridernikkolson6594 lost media don't get found this way but when it does, it's hilarious that a piece of lost media, sought after by a lot of people, gets found in some dude's basement or something like that
I had no idea Darcy’s Wild Life was considered lost! I have most of the series on VHS recordings, taking up room in my garage. I legit started laughing I shock when that section came up.
I love how older people love to call younger generations soft when they wanted an episode of a children's show banned for having an actor that played an evil character before in it.
But that's it, the older generation would just want the episode taken off. The new generation would dox the producers, writers, actors of the episode and demand that they be canceled and ruin their life and career
Jorge, you absolute madman. You successfully got all the biggest finds in 2022, and I’ve been a huge fan of yours for a long time to see that your hard work and everyone else’s is something else. Let’s hope Slamfest doesn’t get found at the actual literal last moment.
Talking about being an "Absolute Madman" have you heard about a supposedly "Lost Version" of the *Talking Angela* original game which was meant to be released alongside the "Unfamous / Cringeworthy" celebration of the *Valentine's Day* than according to numerous witnesses that had such a great "Gut-Feeling" like to be able to (line-up) in hopes of getting their own copy of the before-ahead mentioned game right 'B4' listening to the *CEO* of the company that was in charge of the development & later also contributing with the distribution of such a thing to allow everybody to play it into their own electronical devices regardless of the software edition than they could possibly have during that certain period of time (before inevitably being almost completely "forced" to update it) to be able to enjoy of some recently added "new features"
1:04:18 OH MY GOD!!! Thank you so much for including my find!!! Two of those short Fire Kills PIFs had each already been found at different times, both in old VHS tapes in 2010, & 2020. The one which was missing was the 2nd variant, which showed an old woman banging on a locked door, unable to escape (The VHS rips of the other two also weren't great quality anyways). I emailed Dexter Ginn and asked him about the PIFs, and whether he happened to still have copies of them after 20 years. He then happily sent me all three of the original files, which are in amazing quality. Old PSAs & PIFs are something which I have always been intrigued by since I was a kid, & "Nightvision" (this Fire Kills PIF) has always been one of my favourites, and I'm glad I could get the lost versions of it. Thank you so much for including my find in this video, and great job on making this video aswell!
@@pass_ it was probably one of the later ones. It won't have been that one, because the latest it aired was 2005. Plus, Fire Kills was a UK thing only, so unless if you actually are from the UK, it would have been something less.
@@LoogiBalloogi yeah im from the uk (north ireland to be precise) but i also vividly remember the "fire kills" tagline and the psa itself seems to line up with my memories (though I remember a bit where a little girl is trying to open a door calling for her parents while theres smoke or a fire) so maybe it was reran locally (i remember it airing during the x factor though) or i'm just misremembering, it could've been something like "smoke kills" actually
Really excited that BattleBots is mentioned here, though as far as I know, Xbox and PC versions were never planned and the ones that were "for sale" on the website were never actually sold. I believe Gatorbox tried to actually buy one and they just refunded him right away. The BattleBots store was a weird thing before the reboot started. There's also a further along prototype that is still lost, the only known owner is series co-creator Trey Roski, this one's (mostly) playable but it does crash a bit and one or two robots are flat out unusable and will crash the game if selected
I remember the show if I am thinking of the same thing. The one with Mankind in it. I think it was technically tied to his wrestling lore as Mankind he had this whole story on why he looked so fucked up, then did some face reveal on the show or something. Might have been called something else. I might have seen re-runs on TV,, but it was Live to me as a kid.
@@BlackMoonHowls That was Robot Wars Extreme Warriors, an American adaptation of a similar show from the UK, Mick Foley was the host but he wasn't really in character aside from wearing his trademark flannel vest. A lot of fun to revisit today
hearing about the toy box killer’s audio tape being released genuinely peaked my interest in how easy it was to get. for me, the audio was a horrific legend sealed away by the police used to desensitize FBI agents and how it would not be released to the public because that’s just how bad it is. but hearing how someone just asked politely for a digital copy & they got it not too much later just threw me for a loop for a second
Think you're mixing it up with the toolbox killers audio tape, which has the actual torture of a woman recorded The toy box killer is just a very long speech aimed at a general person, of what the guy and his mistress planned to do to whomever they abducted and nothing more
I had my own little Clockman investigation this year for a TV series I watched as a kid and couldn't find, only to find it earlier this year. When I was 7 years old, I remember waking up early in 1996 while living in Wales to watch a cartoon. This cartoon was about an anthropomorphic blue bird, and he'd try to go about his tasks, and these three short bearded men would constantly stop him somehow. I remembered only two episodes; one where the bird would try to use a phone booth and the 3 men would constantly hog it, and another where he and the 3 men were firefighters, and they'd constantly spray the bird for reasons I couldn't remember. I remembered the show, but not it's name, and so I could NEVER find it. I remembered the animation being somewhat limited, and that each episode was just 5 minutes long. There was no dialogue, and the characters would either sqwark or grunt to communicate. I thought it came out either mid to late 80s or early 90s. Last year I found two reddit posts, where different people were also looking for it. I left comments sharing my own memories, hoping to fill the gaps, but I got no replies from either. Every time I googled "80s or 90s cartoon about a Blue Bird", it would either show links to an anime film called Blue Bird, or just show generic illustrations of blue birds. I researched all the 80s I could think of from Wales, Britain, France, Germany, Spain and even Russia to see if I could find it. In the end I made a Reddit post of my own, and people offered suggestions such as Fiddly Foodle Bird, Ovide, and too many people brought up Regular Show, despite me saying it was from the 80s or 90s. I couldn't give up. In the end, I started doing Wikipedia searches on British animation studios and checking lists of tv shows they made. I excluded studios like Aardman as the cartoon was hand drawn and not stop motion. I went through all of them until finally I got to King Rollo Films. I went through the list, which featured cartoons like Spot the Dog and Mr Benn, then suddenly something called Ric the Raven appeared on the list. It didn't have it's own Wikipedia page, and I remembered one of the Reddit posts saying they thought the bird character was called "Bic". So did they just get the first letter wrong? I googled the title, and suddenly this jolly looking blue bird came up, and BOOM! It was him! I found on IMDB entry for it that cleared things up. It was a British-German animated cartoon that featured an optimistic blue bird who goes on adventures, and he is either anrtagonised by three blue men, or he antagonists them, and that it's humour was said to be on par with The Pink Panther shorts. Learning it was a German co production, I went to RUclips, and there I found over 100 30 second clips featuring the bird, but not in the way I remembered them, as they were cut-out animations. Looking on their page I found they were a host site that shows German dubs of English cartoons. On there was a playlist of all 52 episodes of the cartoon I was looking for, with their English episode titles intact. Scanning through the list I found the two I saw as a kid. I watched them, and found they were not only funnier than I remember, but the animation was much better than I remembered. I saved copies, and there you have it; my own quest to find a forgotten cartoon.
wait, what? That Manhunt 2 thing. If I knew the uncut version was lost, I would have uploaded it myself. I have it on one of my harddrives since the D2D days. Oh, and, by the way, is the PS2 beta considered lost? You know, the one that got leaked? Because I have that one, too.
People are gonna call bull on this, but I believe you. I've always wondered just how much lost media hasn't been found simply because whoever owns it thinks they possess something inane.
I don't know why, but lost music being found (heard?) is always so interesting to me. Even more than like a movie or a book or w/e. The idea of some super obscure album just being in someone's closet or some tiny record shop for decades, and all we had to do was realize how valuable it was, is fascinating.
I'm actually making progress on that front, I managed to get my hands on the rare original Telegraph records release of Great White's sophomore album "Shot in the Dark" on Cassette, this version of the album is unique in that some of the tracks sound different then the ones on the Capitol Records re-release("She Shakes Me" is called "Shake Me" on this version, has a different intro and a more raw production overall, that song is on RUclips but the rest are not). I sent my tape to a guy who was willing to digitize it for me.
@@jadedheartsz Sounds cool. There are some bands I like that also have early releases where less than 100 copies were made, and all we know is that they exist, but they've never surfaced online. Stuff like that is interesting to me, because usually they'll just appear one day with little fanfare.
eBay is a very good place for finding such obscurities, particularly albums from the late 90s to early-mid 2000s, as many many bands were releasing their stuff out on CDs. I have about a dozen albums that have virtually no internet presence aside from an eBay listing or two. I'd upload and share them all somewhere but I'm lazy.
@@drygnfyre My contact just finished uploading the tape on Google Drive, can't post a link here because RUclips tends to not let posts with links through, but there's a thread in the lost media wiki forums under found media with a link that'll point you towards it so go on and check it out if you want.
there's another interesting piece of lost music was was found back in 2020 that almost nobody else seems to have noticed- nu-metal band Cinder's debut album "Break Your Silence" was supposed to come out in 2001 while the band was touring in support of the album but their label Geffen was bought out by Interscope who delayed the album several times until finally cancelling it outright, but sometime in 2020 the album would finally get quietly released onto all official streaming platforms, there was no big announcement or anything and I haven't seen any of the lost media personalities mention this one and there's been no news stories on any music sites about this that I can find.
Here is a funfact about the Wicked Witch episode: I go to University of Maryland and, while in a class about Sesame Street, found one of the results from the test screening of the Wicked Witch episode, including written answers to questions about the episodes and work with psychologists, among all of the angry letters (all with the word Witch written on them in a green marker). It seemed they put a lot of geniune effort into figuring out why this scared kids and how to avoid that in the future.
The story about the Godspeed You Black Emperor album is kind of unfortunate to me. It could've been considered found way back in 2013, but people's intense skepticism may be what held it back. I wonder what else could be considered found by now if not for these things.
it’s very Fred Rogers of them that all we had to do was ask about the Christmas episode for them to release it. what an impressive year of great lost media finds and an even more impressive video documenting some of them!
I’m a big god speed fan and ambient / post rock artist many small tape labels and underground labels release very limited cdrs and tapes from 5-100 copies. I can’t believe people didn’t believe the story of the tape. There are even more mysterious tapes out there, the les legions noires comes to mind.. and even that sort of was semi uncovered a few years ago by one of the members of the circle.
Can we just agree how due to Visuals ALONE Kung Fu Wa! would be praised as a show that does the CalArts Style RIGHT if aired on Cartoon Network? Edit: I also GREATLY consider The Earthworm Jim Cartoon to be the Quality-Based Ancestor to the Cuphead Show
Yeah the art style's really cute. Also it's funny how chinese animation varies wildy in style, from very western-looking series like Kung Fu Wa, to basically anime with stuff like Immortal King.
I’ve watched that Popeye animation test SO MANY TIMES, it looked incredible and it was one of the first time I could see another artist’s style (Genndy’s) inside that Sony animation look. I wish I knew what Sony was thinking, not letting him go wild with it and trying to push him to change it.
The sheer amount of media that was found this year is just absolutely ridiculous! Like in the most epic way imaginable things that were missing 50 plus years being found especially is simply unprecedented! Much love to all things found and all documenters reporting thank you all for the continued efforts :)
And in this month alone in gaming media Duke Nukem: Endangered Species was proven to have existed with a leaked build coming out as well as probably the earliest version of Prey (a prototype from 1995) was also leaked. What a mad year.
@@KururuJi it's a Christmas miracle, I actually never thought we'd see that one getting leaked. But like having the 2001 build AND the 2D platformer one leaked on the same year feels so rewarding
I've always found lost media fascinating, but after getting a job that's literally doing digitization at a cartoon special collections library, the lost media pieces that are found locked away in library collections just really tickle me on a personal level. Makes me wonder if anything we're holding onto in the stacks at work is something that someone out there is desperately searching for.
You might want to periodically browse the lost media wiki, just to see if there's anything people are looking for that sounds familiar. You never know, you might be the person who locates that one snippet of someone's childhood they thought was a fever dream.
Anytime I go to a used book store I imagine how many of those books will be forgotten and never archived anywhere and it makes me want to "save" them all 😅
In regards to the Planes Trains & Automobiles deleted scenes, there's still a bunch of footage missing (the diner scene at the end, Del getting punched in the eye, the whole cheating subplot and more) . The footage they recovered is probably the best we're ever going to get and it's a miracle they found it at all
The Speed Racer film might have had negative critical reviews and poor box office performance, but I will die on the hill that it deserves cult classic status and recognition as one of the best live action adaptations of an animated series ever produced. It has its problems, but it understood what the source material meant to people, and brought to life it's vision with stunning aesthetic design and breakneck race scenes. Also, Mirror's Edge's animated cutscenes always reminded me of the Erin Esurance commercials for some reason.
That film was unfairly panned - personally I wonder because it's a Waschoskis film from 2009. Maybe it's because it's the very first film I ever saw in blueray? Or because I remember watching the old dubs? But to this day I tear up for the final race scene. I'll rewatch it just to feel something.

The hamster movie impressed me. There was a drum set, and it was actually correct. It's extremely rare to see a drum set in a cartoon that's set up correctly. There are even pads on the cymbals. This movie officially has 1 impressive quality👏👏👏👏👏
The guy on Reddit with the Black Emperor cassette kinda makes me sad, even though the situation turned out fine. Feels like he was bullied off the site instead of convinced to share the album.
I'm so so glad that we found the Kingdom Hearts pilot, even if it took someone almost dying to get it. I truly never thought it would be unearthed, and I'm so delighted by its existance in general. Here's hoping 2023 is as eventful!
I just watched an episode of Hoarders the other day and this woman recorded everything she watched from like the 70s to present day. I just know she is sitting on a huge lost media GOLD MINE too.
She was discontinued because people didn't respond to the character; most people just found her boring. Internet lore claims that rule 34 was the reason, but it wasn't.
I actually took the time to watch both versions of this Fat Albert episode when it was found. Not only the swear words were cut, some insults and other parts of the dialogue were altered as well. The guy at 51:57 called Albert "the fat one" in the uncensored version, but in the censored version, he called Albert "the big one". This line was changed likely due to the rise of obesity in the USA since the early 1980s.
The show was LITERALLY called “FAT Albert”, so the reasoning was probably something different. Typically, IN PRISON, or the gay connotation of prefer fatness is because they are soft like women and even may have breast-like chests (which he does). So, in prison, the implication was very sexual.
I remember Homeward Bound.. But I was thinking Homeward Bound and The Incredible Journey were two very similar but different movies... Anyway, I remember watching it in the theater with my mom and little brother. He was maybe 4 at the time and I remember there was a part where he was screaming like "Look out Shadow!" really loud and everyone else in the theater was laughing. I'm 36 now and he's 32 but we still talk about that from time to time.
Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey was the second film adaptation of The Incredible Journey, a 1961 novel by Sheila Burnford. There was also a 1963 Disney adaptation just called The Incredible Journey. Lots of people didn't realize Homeward Bound was a remake! I've never seen the 1963 version, but I remember HB being very different from the book; the characters of the animals were apparently rewritten to suit their celebrity voice actors. Maybe you saw the 1963 version, and its plot was closer to the novel?
@@onbearfeet Huh.. Yeah there's no telling. I remember yet another talking animal adventure type movie from when I was barely old enough to have memory - Milo and Otis. I don't think it's related but I guess even _it_ would have been based on Homeward Bound - which I always figured it was the other way around..

Wow! Darcy's Wild Life, I remember this show since I was younger. I watched Discovery Kids prior to the Hub/Discovery Family rebranding, and thus this show came up, along with DinoSapien and Endurance. I distinctly remembered seeing the first couple episodes but brushed it off as just another show. Little did I know that it would've been lost to time, only to be found. Man, what a trip down memory lane. Really nice to see stuff like this being found and preserved, it's something that is easily lost the further back you go. I hope to see more of this in the future, @blameitonjorge
The instant I heard the name name I was like wait, why is that so familiar then the theme song made me go wide eyed and suddenly a memory of being self conscious for thinking that as a boy I wasn't supposed to enjoy the show became vivid and every single thing that had been on screen was familiar to me again. I legit haven't thought of the show since it aired.
Robotic Stooges is a... weird show. In addition to having the Stooges be robots trying to save earth from Professor Cluck, Ludwig Lilliput, and Toy Ploy, there are episodes taking place in ancient Greece and Fairytale land. It not like The Stooges are using a time machine or going to a weird dimension, they just appeared in ancient Greece and Fairytale land.
it reminds me a lot of inspector gadget. tho i know gadget was based on the anime Lupin III and originallj planned to be a kid friendly spin off of the anime alongside the other mario and sonic dic adaptations. but this weird little stooges series feels like a spiritual cousin lol
Earthworm Jim was released on TV I'm sure of it. I used to watch it a lot and it had a Turkish dub. I didn't know about the video game at the time but I knew the character and remember watching it only a couple of times.

She passed in 2018, and the store went to a sale where everything was just sold? ( I don't fully remember what happened to everything because I was young) I know for a fact someone bought that game though because I was upset at the time that I couldn't play it anymore though.

It's important to track down lost media, but it's equally important to preserve lost media so it isn't stuck in just one place, ready to be lost again. Like one example close to my heart is the show Ace Lightning, as far as I can tell, it only exists on one channel on RUclips, and that's it. No idea where that person got it as it doesn't seem to be on dvd or anything. And season 2 is pretty messed up (imo unwatchable, because it has horrible audio desync) If I had the editing skills, I would go in and fix the audio desync manually and upload better versions. And yes, I have all the episodes archived myself, I know the episodes already exist on RUclips, but I sorta want to figure out somewhere to share them so they are available in at least two places. Maybe the internet archive would be the best place?

I'm glad that "Lost Media Found in [Year]" seems to now be a yearly thing. I love this yearly recap of found media, as it reminds me of things that I forgot were found this year and things I didn't even know were found. Excellent video!
5:49 Voice actors typically do many different voices for many different characters, whether in the same franchise or another. Just think of The Simpsons. If you search "Dan Castellaneta characters" you'll see he voices Homer, Krusty, Gampa, Barney, Willie, Quimby, etc...
I’m really deep into true crime and I had no idea about the Toy Box Killer tape. Extremely glad that the community hasn’t celebrated it being unearthed.
@@niku7297 I think it seems like it probably got taken down. There is a Lost Media Wiki article stating it was uploaded to RUclips and the Internet Archive, which also has a transcript of the tape. I also found some communications on MuckRock with the guy who released the tape (Joseph Pasteris aka Tom_Servo) and the New Mexico State Police asking for the tape before retracting his request stating he got it elsewhere on October 6, which checks out with the time the audio was allegedly found and publicly released. This all seems to add up to the audio being legitimately reuploaded before being taken down, potentially for legal issues of sharing it? Tbh I'm mixed on my opinion. On one hand this is a historically important tape and it is definitely interesting to be able to hear, but on the other hand the living victims of Ray are still out there and I don't feel they'd be comfortable with the tape being released. I think the transcript is enough.
I found the tape on RUclips looking the name of the person who found the tape, just put on the search bar "Pasteris Archive" and put the name of the Killer right next to it. I'm trying to avoid putting the link in here so it doesn't get taken down but you guys should find it really easy with that search.
the "Twinkle the Dream being"'s "Twinkle" actually used to be the mascot of the city of Daejeon, South Korea. Having lived in Daejeon ever since I was 5 it was very jarring to see the old city mascot in a lost media video...
My brother was on one of the lost skatoony episodes! It was so cool being able to see it again after so many years he said filming it was one of the strangest things he’s done lmao
I was really happy when the SpongeBob Got Milk commercial was found. Because I remembered when it first aired when I was younger and it was probably the reason I wanted chocolate milk so much
The fact that parents were offended by Sesame Street episode 847 is infuriating, it was far from disturbing, for God's sake, this is the same show that has Nobody, a character far creepier than the Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz, and because an episode had to be lost because parents couldn't handle an old lady in green skin, I will show my future children Courage the Cowardly Dog out of spite.
One game that was SUPER obscure was a game called Elpresabird. It was based on the call of duty youtuber/commentator/rager Elpresador. It was essentially flappy bird but with Elpresadors head as the bird, and every time you would hit a pipe he would rage quit or make really weird noises taken from his youtube channel. I would be surprised if there are even 5 people in the world who still have that game on their phones.

Okay, so this will get buried here, but my search must begin somewhere. Since I do not have Reddit, here I am. I'm currently looking for the first RUclips video I ever watched. It is a short 3D animation titled "Rhythm", created anywhere between 2006-2009. It features 3D models of musical instruments on a plain white backdrop. The instruments dance together to create music, but they get interrupted by a cowbell who sounds terrible. They all leave and this makes the cowbell sad. Then one of the drums decides to go back to the cowbell and tries to teach it how to have rhythm. The cowbell gets too excited at first and doesn't follow the drum's demonstration, but gradually, it learns how to control itself and dance in rhythm with the beat. To end the video, all of the other instruments come back on screen to join in. That's all I have. I can't remember the creator's name since I watched it so long ago, but I think it was a man's name. I've tried every search term I can think of that might dig it up, but I've had no success. If anyone could give me any information about this video and its creator, or if anyone even just remembers it, I'd really appreciate it. Edit: JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I FOUND IT!! Or rather a 4chan user found it for me, but oh my GOD this is the most relief I have ever felt. It now exists on the RUclips channel for Slapworks Animation.
I can assure you, game shows don't just air the episode and then move on. I spent a little over eight months in jail and watched a lot of old episodes of The Price is Right, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, Deal or No Deal, and Jeopardy. You just gotta know which channels they're on.
Never heard of it, my brain acts like old school search over-load or at the very least "Did you mean X thing" thing google and Bing does sometimes. The only thing that comes up for me was the Burger King guy "Would You Like Fries with That?"
I actually followed the whole search for Quantum Quest after your video about it! I was intrigued that it had only ever shown at the Kentucky Science Centre, a museum/kid's attraction in my city in my home state. Such an obscure thing to have happen here, especially with the actors involved in it. Though Shatner does own property in Versailles, Kentucky, but I don't think anyone else had any particular ties to the state. Armstrong was born in Ohio, so you'd think at least one science center there would've gotten the film, but apparently not.

In reference to Twinkle. Fraley most likely had 3 roles because in the Voice Actor's Guild (at least the last I knew) if you're cast for a show you have to voice at least 2 characters minimum. Lots of shows will have the VAs voicing their main character and then maybe a background character in the same episodes of shows.
We also got a rare, hard to find Dethklok music video (the one for “I Tamper With the Evidence at the Murder Site of Odin” which prior to the RUclips upload was only seen at the concerts and (possibly) rare European DVDs for Metalocalypse Season 2) uploaded this year by the band themselves in a batch of music videos uploaded to their official channel supposedly in anticipation for the upcoming finale movie. As well as an unearthed [adult swim] pilot with Brendon Small and Scott Adsitt called Let’s Fish although that was a case where it was on Vimeo since 2012 but nobody in either the Metalocalyose or Moral Orel fandom noticed until recently
Respect to anyone who ever has or ever will find lost media by having the courage and taking the risk to watch old vhs tapes found in their parents/grandparents belongings.
I’m trying to find a laserdisc video of a music video compilation called rainbow signal by my favourite music group called Hi-Fi Set. The only thing known is that it has six anime and live action music videos on the video. For the most part, the story is apparently about the love life of two little dragons who live in a high tech futuristic city. It was release in 1985, right in the middle of their career. it uses songs from the Pasadena Park and indigo albums. If anyone has it could you reach out to me? Thanks!
@31:31 No way... I know for a fact I had a VHS recording of Homeward Bound with those deleted scenes in it! I used to watch it all the time when I was really young. I have no clue where the tape would be now since I have moved so much. Super interesting to find out that it was lost media all these years later. My grandma probably has hundreds of recorded VHS tapes at her house since she hoards stuff like that. I've been thinking about making a VHS tape uncovering channel and maybe her collection would be a good place to start. I just think it's wild how an entire production team and studio can work hard on a piece of media for television that seemingly gets wiped out and never seen again, contrast to the ease of availability of modern day media. It also makes me wonder if I've ever watched something in the past that ends up to be lost media.
These stories are fascinating because there are so many bullshit-sounding "my uncle works at Nintendo" type lines, but they turn out to actually be true.
@[derpy cat] no just redesigning the whole project n engine upgrading a total of 6-10 builds or more to release what we have today and wanted to get it right but still screwed it up by now

I love how older people love to call younger generations soft when they wanted an episode of a children's show banned for having an actor that played an evil character before in it.

Think you're mixing it up with the toolbox killers audio tape, which has the actual torture of a woman recorded

Thanks for sharing. Interesting to hear about European cartoons

I hope someday, "Foodfight!" Original Version is found. I'm just so curious about it.
Here is a funfact about the Wicked Witch episode:
I go to University of Maryland and, while in a class about Sesame Street, found one of the results from the test screening of the Wicked Witch episode, including written answers to questions about the episodes and work with psychologists, among all of the angry letters (all with the word Witch written on them in a green marker).

Yeah the art style's really cute. Also it's funny how chinese animation varies wildy in style, from very western-looking series like Kung Fu Wa, to basically anime with stuff like Immortal King.

Thank you I loved the speed racer movie
That film was unfairly panned - personally I wonder because it's a Waschoskis film from 2009. Maybe it's because it's the very first film I ever saw in blueray? Or because I remember watching the old dubs? But to this day I tear up for the final race scene. I'll rewatch it just to feel something.

It's fucking hilarious.
why was she discontinued?

I actually took the time to watch both versions of this Fat Albert episode when it was found. Not only the swear words were cut, some insults and other parts of the dialogue were altered as well. The guy at 51:57 called Albert "the fat one" in the uncensored version, but in the censored version, he called Albert "the big one". This line was changed likely due to the rise of obesity in the USA since the early 1980s.
and well... that episode predicted things to come...

Maybe the internet archive would be the best place?

i still am not certain if that find is even legitimate, i can’t find a proper link or source of the audio anywhere

Duke Nukem Forever switched its engine once: from Quake 2 Engine to Unreal 1. The 2011 version runs on Unreal 1 engine.
were they that slow at making the game?
@[derpy cat] no just redesigning the whole project n engine upgrading a total of 6-10 builds or more to release what we have today and wanted to get it right but still screwed it up by now
Popeye actually looked good. Shame it was cancelled

I loved keeping up with the nicktoons zombified search, the idea was just so creepy I needed to see it with my own eyes, thank God I had my TV tuned to adult swim at night when these aired or I'd probably be scarred for life
