As a kid I was scared of this video, it was oddly uncomfortable. Now as an adult I see as a exploitative towards a disability drag queen that actually tried to do what made her happy. So shame of the people who perpetuate this myth.
@@blankblankersondon't try to make this into some transphobic narrative. Sandie loved herself for being a woman. Her transgender identity is not the result of trauma, and if anything her freedom of expression only aided her mental health.
To be fair, the reason Sandie seems so creepy in the original video is because she's doing a dance routine to "The Frankenstein Rock" and is purposely acting like a zombie.
Without the disabilities, the video would have been creepy anyway. YOU'RE the one focusing on the disabilities part, therefore you really hate yourself. The stare, the filter, the music, The lack of context is what Made this frightening when you were a child In the early 2000s. Quit projecting your own faulty personality traits on others and take accountability for being a person that has no business being on the high horse you've put yourself on. You're welcome for the advice.
I think a big missed point is why it's a WALRUS specifically. The walrus appears in Alice in Wonderland, as 'Walrus and the Carpenter'. If there was already so much Alice imagery I can't imagine that this is a coincidence
The Carpenter was the one for less food and the Walrus are the status quo. Alice is us the audience chasing the rabbit hole. Basically, the story says don't look to deep into meaning. also. John Lennon song - "I told you 'bout the walrus and me, man You know that we're as close as can be, man Well, here's another clue for you all; The walrus was Paul!" But also, this guy wasn't Mexican. But if you know about the author of Alice in wonderland he was Anglican and using this story as a dark satire on certain groups of people. Obey da morsa was def a pre q anono ; follow the rabbit hole operation.
@@robmartin5448 Decoding the unknown's paul is dead video went over this part. Apparently they thought the Walrus was the good guy because they didn't really read it and later said the song would have been "I am the carpenter" if they knew that. It gets under my skin a little bit how many people in the comments say Bunny’s life was “sad”. It sounds like she was dealt a bad set of cards but she went on to do more than a lot of us will ever do in our lives without the same challenges. Shes in the Louvre! That doesnt sound sad to me at all.
for me it's more so the fact that people don't really know her story, and instead are scared of the video and continue to be. that's what makes it sad to me.
She had an amazing life as far as I'm concerned. She persevered against steep odds to become who she wanted to be and do what she wanted to do with her life. We should be even half as brave and determined!
It's not that people are pitying her, it's that many of us are angry at the people who are bigoted, who propagate nonsense about her when she was a great actress and performer, those who devilise disabled people and LGBT people, people and the system that was created by said people who create deeply rooted bigotry and lack of accessibility for disabled people or anyone else who is marginalised. Bunny was strong and amazing, she persevered despite everything, and that's formidable. It's not that we feel sad for her because of her condition or whatever else, we feel sad because we know she could have had it even better if people hadn't been scummy (or better yet still are). We're angry at the prejudice.
It is important to notice that the name Jair is a somewhat common latin american name. While the tag could indeed have a meaning, it could also just be the channel owner's name. It's like looking for meaning on the name Joshua
Sandi Crisp herself sadly knew of the video's existence before she died. She said these words in a response video posted to her personal RUclips page directed at Obey himself and to people leaving negative comments about her. "Excuse me, I'm not a walrus, I'm a human being. And I would appreciate it if people would recognize that." R.I.P Sandi.
As someone who got to know Goddess Bunny near the end of her life. I just hope more people see her for the artist she was. I do have some shorts on my profile I uploaded awhile back since some people wanted to see them on some other video I commented on. She was a blast to be around and anyone who got to be around her knew she was literally the life of those parties. She never let her disabilities really stop her from enjoying life even with all of its tragedies.
She seemed like a lovely, fun loving woman with a great sense of humor. It breaks my heart that “obey the walrus” made so many people fear her/what she looks like. I hope she rests easy ❤ I’m glad she had such good friends like you who enriched her life
Wish I could have met her in life, especially now that I know the real story of the person behind another silly internet thing. She seems like she was such a joy to be around
@@shrimp.trap3 honestly I have no clue if she was even fully aware of Obey the Walrus video. I’m sure she knew but I dont know if she understood how impactful it was to the early internet. But knowing her she would of just loved that so many people saw her in something. I doubt she was even recognized though since when I first saw her I didn’t plug the two together until someone said Goddess Bunny instead of her name. Because she looked very different later in life. Which is such a shame. She would of loved having people come up to her and take photos etc. A fun thing she would do is photoshop herself with celebrities and create these elaborate stories to go with it. Deep inside she just wanted to be seen and heard.
@@WillieManga is there proof of that? If so that's pretty sad. As someone who laughed at the video many years ago. Then again, I believe it was more the song, than her
When I first watched this video, I was so unbelievably scared. It wasn't until I found out who she was and her backstory, and now... with the context of who she really is, I do still feel that uneasiness but mostly I just feel sad and upset for her. May she rest in peace.
@@boopboop1869yeah ignore em, that reply is under others . Theyre def trying to to push anti trans sentiments. Don’t even try to dignify em with a response either
Here is a user from the first years of Latin American RUclips. "Obey the Walrus" was very famous over here, we all had that weird friend who showed us the video as if it were something "satanic" or right from the deep web. Because it was so famous, it was very common to come across videos debunking the video and the lore behind it, and as more things were found (for example, the spider song that was stolen directly from the Barney show lol), the video ended up being more funny than scary. Regarding the users behind the video and its dramas, they are all edgy children who populated the Latin American internet at that time (and continue to do so). Loquendo itself is a symbol of kids who spend too much time on the Internet and feel the need to be as edgy as they can by hiding in the artificial voice. The supposed fights between them and IP leaks are also part of their subculture, but in reality no one takes them seriously other than their own circle of friends and fans of the same age.
I just want to thank you for covering Sandie's story so early in the video because it allows viewers to know about the human being in the images, if that makes sense. I think without knowing about her humanity it's much easier to view her as an "other" and focus on her disabilities. I really appreciate that you discuss the other elements that make the video scary like the editing, so were not just pointing at someone who's different.
Thank you for covering Sandie as a person. It’s so easy for people with disabilities such as hers to be seen as scary or other, but in reality she was just a person. A person who was smart, talented, funny and artistic. That video is still unsettling but it shouldn’t diminish her as a person, I feel bad that she was depicted that way.
@@mariaquiet6211 It must be nice to be so blind and gullible. Maybe you’re not aware of why Bill Gates is wanted as a war criminal in India and Africa. His “philanthropy” maimed and crippled countless people.
Fun fact: the bush clip you see at 11:22 is from a famous RUclips screamer video known as "scary car commercial" which I'm sure that some of y'all are familiar with. It's a commercial for a coffee drink.
I never thought Obedece a la Morsa would get covered in an English channel! This was a huge thing back in the day, thank you for covering this phenomenon lol
That video scared me a lot as a child and made me stay off of the internet for a while. Now, as an adult I can't help but feel sad about the person portrayed in it.
I was 12 when I saw the video, at first I thought i was been pranked on as it did not seem scary for me and my school mates where scare shitless, and now as an adult I dont feel sad but i think is inspiring that despite her challenges she managed to embrace it and make the most of it.
Goddess Bunny is a LEGEND in drag and trans communities, By all accounts she was incredibly kind, talented, funny, and resilient woman. There's a short film about her on yt made by her adopted son where he says "I love you mom. You make me feel dazzling and tough. You make me feel free and unashamed. And if I'm ever sad you'll run over my toes to remind me that love is so much greater than the suffering. That your balls are bigger than mine. That wild is our nature and we don't need legs to dance. And the reason we can't fly over the mountain is because we're headed straight towards the sun in the sky. Because shooting stars are just wheelchairs that went off the rails, I love you mom"
You can see how many edgy teenagers where at the time, I knew a guy on highschool who had the Obedece a la Morsa video on his phone and a looot of gore too just because, that was a huge trend at the time.
Yeah that was all over the Internet both in LATAM and the rest of the world. I remember going through the Offended Page in Encyclopedia Dramatica was a huge challenge back then 😂
I think we all can relate that we were scared of the infamous video and it wasn't really because of Goddess Bunny herself, it was of the editing and the fake backstory behind it. It's very unfortunate she is mostly known from this but I'm glad she could use this fame at least in some way. At least happy it pushed some people to do some research for her and appreciate her for who she is. When you actually dive into her story it's pretty incredible and uplifting in many ways. Happy you made this video Jorge, more people should know who she really is.
Look I’m not gonna pretend the image of her didn’t also scare me as a kid, along with the rest of what you said. But I was at least a kid and didn’t really know what to make of it
Music and editing can do a lot for the general vibe of a video. a picture of an empty room with creepy music in the background suddenly becomes The Backrooms; replace that with the Spongebob end theme and it loses all tension.
Agreed. Reminds me a lot of the “I Feel Fantastic” video. Creepy out of context, but remove the fake backstory and the “scary” editing, and you have something unique and kinda endearing.
@@couchman-sw6jywhich is part of why it's so messed up. a lot of media uses disabled people to scare people (freak shows, horror movies, etc), so it's no wonder a lot of kids grow up being freaked out or disgusted by people with disabilities. but it's never the fault of those kids, it's just the fault of our culture.
@@Stinkoman87 Whilst your point is bang on; _you can_ edit something to be creepier than it is. ...The original liminal space image with no context is way more unsettling than "The Backrooms"
I’m honestly glad I’m watching this video, it made me realise I’m not scared of it anymore. The video always disturbed me as a kid, first bc I got scared and then bc I felt guilty abt that after hearing the backstory. As a kid I thought, it’s sad that people are scared of her when she can’t help what she looks like.
20:45 made me laugh so hard, not because it's a fart sound effect, but because it's in a blameitonjorge video, one that was completely serious the whole time, apart from that one moment out of nowhere, plus the name being so corny/goofy also just adds to the humor, it's like "damn, this is so corny that not even the serious video can take it seriously"
I can't believe no one in the hispanic community has done research on this. Everyone knew that the person who edited the original Obedece a la Morsa video did strange things, but no one investigated further. I definitely didn't expect you to talk about this, especially in such detail. Remembering those times is very nostalgic, it was very nice. This is my new favorite video on your channel.
kinda sad that almost all the information about those weirdo creep people its in abandoned image boards or dead Facebook groups. there was one or two videos doing a dive in obedece a la morsa before but they are obviously very sketchy
There was a video by RUclipsr drchibihouse explaining all of this but it has since been lost Also of course musicismyfaith explained obey's videos before anyone else
The person who filmed the original doc that was used for the video did some messed up stuff too, they were literally the creator of the "Happy Merchant" image
Really sad that she passed of covid at a relatively young age. She looked like she had a lot of fun in the clips you posted. Glad to see how much respect you have for her and her story.
This video scared me as a kid, and I don’t remember which part I ran away screaming, the flashing lights or Goddess Bunny herself. Nowadays, I feel great sympathy for her. I’m glad she endured her pain and expressed herself in something she enjoyed, gaining eyes of adoration from a lot of loyal fans. Rest in peace, Sadie Crisp. You are a gorgeous and strong woman, and a voice for all disabled queer people all around the world.
Same, as a kid it would actually cause me to have panic attacks. Though for me it was the beginning more than anything, I think a combination of the flashing lights and blaring, distorted music would just set something off within me. Though I would start to calm down as the video progressed.
Something that I haven't seen anyone mention when talking about obeythewalrus it's that it's visual style and editing resemble a genre of videos that used to have a very niche following in the hispanic internet community from the late 00 to early 10's called "finiharios", I'm not sure if these existed before or after the original obeythewalrus video since there doesn't seem to be much information about them but they seem to go for the same style using unsettling visuals taken from various sources along with cryptic messages, though I've never seen any non spanish speaker talking about them so I'm not sure if these were even a thing in other internet communities
I had no idea she had passed away, I’m glad she managed to find people who accepted her for who she was and that she had a fulfilling career. Rest in peace Goddess Bunny!
i know the whole backstory to obedece a la morsa and know how sad it is, but i first watched the video when i was pretty young and i still can't watch it cause it just sends a chill down my spine. it's one of those things you just can't get over.
I love how this vid is Jorge basically delving deep into what probably is the first RUclips drama in the latinamerican RUclips sphere. Seeing vids with loquendo brought back so many memories of early latinamerican RUclips
i always felt bad for the person in the video, they were clearly just differently abled, not a monster, at least "i feel fantastic" had a robotic manikin instead of a real person EDIT: disabled, differently abled, whatever you prefer, youtube removed comments of mine in the past for using the former
But that was just a chill dude who wanted to show his cool singing robot. Then everyone said he was a killer and buried his victim in the garden and put her clothes on the mannequin lol
I noticed that in early RUclips history, people tended to take stuff like this inordinately seriously. You saw this type of stuff with the Chad Warden videos: people getting genuinely angry at what are in essence rather tame internet trolls. An edgy 19 year old probably seemed like an authentic mentally-disturbed subversive to an internet unacquainted with this sort of elaborate trolling.
As a latino i confirm, there used to be a hella lot of "satanic" YT channels around 2008-2011 that started beef with users in the Loquendo community, who usually tried to "debunk" them. All these early YT dramas were identical to Obey's, for example, a channel named "loqloqloqloq" who tried to emulate the username 666 aesthetic. It was fun btw
Sandie looks somewhat unsettling due to her deformities, but I have seen people with MUCH worse problems (physical and mental) being publicly mocked in the last few years. And as an adult with autism and a rare genetic disease that makes me look like a teenager, the line between me and these victims is getting blurrier as I age. The walrus video is tame by modern standards, and there are disabled people who are willing to use their appearances for comedy (Andy Milonakis, Ricky Berwick, Jade Theriault, Alice Wong, the late John Callahan). But you don't get to mock us just for existing. All I have to say about that kind of exploitation is...good riddance Kiwifarms.
@@srlipar9674 Ohhh! There are a lot of Hispanic YTPs making references to "Satanas" and I didn't understand why it was considered funny. Thanks for the context!
16 years ago today. I cannot believe got to see this at the time. I was in the 5th grade when my friend showed it to me. I was terrified. I felt like she was being forced to perform and was being mistreated. I am now finally learning the story of who Sandie Crisp was. RIP iconic queen.
I used to be scared of "Obey The Walrus" video because of the music that was playing mixed with the editing. The entire backstory of Obedece A La Morsa (and Sandie Crisp, AKA "Goddess Bunny") was pretty sad and I recall an interview video that was on RUclips. Rest in peace
Jessica Walrus wasn't Obeydawalrus, she was his friend, I know it because during that time I was also a friend of Jessica. By the way, she dissapeared at that time because she was exposed for having inappropriate conversations with minors, as well as doxxing and harassing people who dared to expose her to her.
This was a popular scary video back when MySpace was really popular. Before it even became obey the walrus. It was just the video of her connected to a different creepy story. There was no editing and no music. Just the sound of her taps. It was one of the first internet videos that haunted me for months. That and that story a history teacher in texas or new mexico would tell to his students every year. Can't remember the name but it was about that little girl naned Kimberly (a middle school girl who used to attend his class but obviously it's part of the story ) hiding in the vents. But after learning about this womans life and story a few years ago, I felt really guilty for ever being afraid of her.
I never heard of this video until now. As an adult, the creepiest thing about it is the woman's body. It made me worried that she was a victim of abuse and was forced into performing. Learning her story and the circumstances behind the video makes me relieved that I was wrong. I feel a mix of pity and pride for her. Pity that life handed her such a bad hand, and proud that she managed to make the best of her circumstances.
13:45 the screaming girl shown here is from an old horror movie about a girl who killed kids at a summer camp, the biggest plot twist in that movie is the fact that the girl is in fact not a girl, but a boy who was forced to crossdress by his mom.
The way you’re explaining old RUclips and internet to people makes me feel so old seeing as I first found this site in 2006 when it was still mostly farmland and saw this all.
Me too, but I'm also thankful I got to experience that earlier Internet. Hard to really experience or explain what it was like without having been around for it
Thank god my mum only had polio in her leg! Polio is a frightening disease and as can be seen with Bunny here leaves you with physical deformities. Now while Polio is rarely heard of nowadays it doesn't mean it has totally gone for good, people in poorer countries can still get it as can we.
Ya’ll are misinformed. The reason “poorer countries” get it is because of “philanthropists” like William Gates who GAVE people polio with oral “cures”. This person got it because the mother was jabbed. People are against such shots for good reason
I find a little funny how this video makes everyone look super misterious and anonymous when back then everyone with enough “internet time” knew who all these characters were, obeydawalrus name is Jair Herrera, and conquasabit was a peruvian guy called André (can’t remember his last name) and they were anything but anonymous.
That was amazing, Jorge. Most videos I see on this subject are usually just "The person in the video is a trans woman with polio" and that's it. You've gone into Sandie's life with great respect & dignity and then revealed a whole mystery about the channel that I had no idea even existed.
The DeviantArt page is very likely not run by Obey. Boltession since deleted the two "suspicious" images and has stated that he is not Obeydawalrus. Before anyone messages the person, consider that they probably don't want anything to do with this and don't want to be annoyed with it, which is probably why they deleted the images.
When I watched the documentary by Nick Bougas on RUclips, I remember seeing the top comment was from Sandie Crisp herself, asking to not be called walrus anymore, saying it hurt her feelings.
I remember seeing the Obey the Walrus video for the first time when I was younger, and It literally made my heart skip a beat since It scared me a lot. I told my dad about it, and he showed me who Sandie Crisp was, and showed me that they were in the Dope Show music video, and I've always thought that was super cool.
It reminds me of the Wyoming Incident in a way. Most people also thought that the Wyoming Incident was just a singular creepy video made with the intent of simply being creepy for creepiness' sake, well, turns out it was actually part of an unfinished ARG that was quite big in the 2000's.
I forgot all about this, but it still remains one of most disgusting things I have ever seen. How can you be so heartless to do this to another person? Just because they have a disability?
I got the chance to meet her at her home in Inglewood back in 2018. At the time I knew Glen Meadmore; a close friend of her’s. He was the one who shot the video of her tap-dancing that was featured in obey the walrus. She was such a kindhearted, witty and fashionable woman. No joke when my friend and I were outside waiting for her she appeared in a tiara strutting down the sidewalk to Janet Jackson’s “Nasty”. Rest in Peace Sandie 💖
Its crazy to see this topic covered in such a big (english) channel. Jorge shows it perfectly, but I dont know if people in the US understand how big this was in Latinamerica and the Caribbean. We were absolutely TERRIFIED of the "Morsa" video, and we all believed it was cursed. It was everywhere and for YEARS everyone believed the story. We would show it at slumber parties to freak eachother out or there wold be groups of 50 children all huddled up in a circle at recess dareing each other to watch it. ts pretty amazing to see the backstory and very sad to think we all truly feared this (exploited) poor woman. Mind you, we were children when this came out, so we didnt know any better but its still sad. Thanks for the input Jorge.
@@mileidyclass They say so right in the video. The mother got the jaab before Chris was born, which gave her the “germ” which was passed onto her offspring, giving the condition in utero.
I think this is the first video to actually center on the history of the person that made the video rather than on Sandie Crisp. I didn't know about any of this! Thank you so much...
I remember me and my younger brother watched this video on a “top 13 scariest videos” yt video and after hearing it was cursed we both started crying and woke our dad up 😭 memories

1. Definitely the most interesting case of “Internet Drama” I’ve seen. 2. Was the video originally going to end after the patron list at 34:27 before you talked about more information, or did you leave it there intentionally? And if it’s the latter, why? It seems out of place.

This almost has the feel of a college student project. It would explain the unusually high quality editing skills for the time, the claims of one party knowing psychologists and psychiatrists let alone having access to over a dozen of them, and the timeframe of activity. I say the art is from Jessica, the editing is from Jair/Obey, and the project lead is Conquasa. I'm guessing all this happened at Valley At Mexico University but something happened which caused all involved to retire the project. I say this because usually with a social experiment conducted by a college, they usually come clean about it after the 2 to 4 year span is over. But here it didn't. Why? I think someone at the school found out and pulled the plug on it. But we did get some sort of closure in that most involved either told people, or claimed they would go, get the mental help they needed. Perhaps there are other options but this is the most likely scenario imo.
I was on his page in 2008. My brother was attending UNAM and did digging on them. 1) They weren't art students at UVM. 2) Jair is a reference to Yair klein 3) Jessia and Yair were the same person/account. 4) Jessica Walrus is a nod to the Walrus and Carpenter story within a story of Alice in Wonderland. Do you notice the trend of following the rabbits in Alice in Wonderland & Morsa. The Walrus & Carpenter story is about not jumping to conclusion and becoming a logophile The Rabbit story is about following rabbit holes and Alice is us the audience who is following the rabbit hole. 5) Q-an0n would also say follow the rabbit hole, jessica walrus & Jair were part of an pre Q anon four chan group. 6)ConQuasa is a reference to Kousa dish ( Con Kousa / With Kousa ) , but that was a different person but still part of the same operation group. Essentially these people were a cult and a precursor to Qanon, m0mo and other consp groups that were testing their audiences. Remember this was 2008, this was before creepy pasta and deep web videos got big in yt in 2014. * also the effects and editing were not sttae of the art in 2008. Even in 2008 it was viewed as low end and cheap like I FEEL FANTASTIC of 2009. Just go back to ' la pequena amy winehouse' and you will see RUclips in 2007-2012 was the wildwest, so obedece la morsa was just another weird video on youtube. But it had spread so quickly in Mexico, and once it got big in Mexico it spread.

Okay, I wasn’t able to grab the time stamp but I want to point out that in one of the la morsa videos used as B-roll, there seems to be a clip from the movie sleepaway camp; a movie that infamous in some circles due to its ending which (sleepaway camp spoilers if anyone cares) reveals that the killer was actually born a man/amab but for reasons that leave my mind, was raised as a girl. Obviously there’s a lot of discourse surrounding it’s ending with some people (justifiably) calling it transphobic, and others defending it or more defending the killers actions due to context surrounding the murders. This would probably be a non sequitur if it weren’t for the frequent visuals of sandie crisp herself, which just makes it feel a bit gross.
There is indeed a clip of Sleepaway Camp that I saw in there too, and as an avid fan of this channel and other channels that cover Horror-related topics like FoundFlix and Dead Meat I have the iconic twist of that movie burned into my memory. Angela was indeed amab (originally going by Peter) but upon the accident that claimed the lives of her family was raised by her aunt. However, her aunt wanted a daughter instead of another son and thus raised her as a girl (even giving her the name of her dead twin sister). Personally, as a trans girl myself, I have no issues with the twist and find Angela as some pretty decent LGBT representation in horror. I'm not denying the controversy surrounding the first movie with that ending, though I do like how the sequels doubled down on it by having her officially and surgically transition between the first and second movie (though there's conflicting sources on whether or not she was consenting to it). Now, if they properly brought this series back I'd find it awesome if they got a trans woman to play Angela.
Fun fact, Angela was, in-fact, not played by someone with a penis and so, for the final shot, they made a mask of her face that they then put on some guy who I think had to get drunk before he was willing to shoot the scene. This is partially why the still itself looks as uncanny as it does, realistic masks of other people almost always look weird.
@@QueenOfTheDead2023 Shout outs to the line from the 2nd where they say (and I'm paraphrasing here) "They gave them a sex change, and our parent's taxes paid for it!". Such a stupid line, though it is pretty fitting for the movie it's in. What an odd choice of character to end up making a slasher villain, basically just a traumitized, abused 13-year-old striking back at bullies; Angela is essentially an entirely different character in the 2nd and 3rd movies compared to the 1st. They kind of try to lean into the bullying thing with Return to Sleepaway Camp, but it didn't really work at all...
Sleep away camp isnt transphobic lol it was one of the best twists I've seen in a horror movie and explores one of the most fascinating and captivating horror concepts (forced feminization) Calling Angela trans would be like calling the barfly strangler trans Regardless of where you fall on the side of the debate it's an entirely different issue

Exactly, they got fame outta it! They loved it!
Her having polio isn't the sad part, as she adapted well to it. The sad part is how abusive the internet was and still is to her.

I noticed that in early RUclips history, people tended to take stuff like this inordinately seriously. Good point. I mean…people invented “slender man” around this time like it was Dracula. Lol.
This is so fucking true though.
I think it's called sleepaway camp
@@bluekirbyrocks yes, you are right. Thanks
Not mom, the aunt. I love the Goose Boose traumathon about it
Lol I noticed that too. Angela/Peter.
I love sleepaway camp! Awesome horror movie.
11:23 I IMMEDIATELY recognized that background. That's from that old jumpscare video with the car driving in the BG
Now while Polio is rarely heard of nowadays it doesn't mean it has totally gone for good, people in poorer countries can still get it as can we.
also people in areas with a large antivaxxer population
Ya’ll are misinformed. The reason “poorer countries” get it is because of “philanthropists” like William Gates who GAVE people polio with oral “cures”. This person got it because the mother was jabbed. People are against such shots for good reason
I find a little funny how this video makes everyone look super misterious and anonymous when back then everyone with enough “internet time” knew who all these characters were, obeydawalrus name is Jair Herrera, and conquasabit was a peruvian guy called André (can’t remember his last name) and they were anything but anonymous.
gracias por decir esto
I think he kept it mysterious because he didn't want to doxx the people in it
The mystery makes for a better watch than "check out these weirdos" both are valid forms of content though.
I love how old Hispanic youtube has that same feel the oldschool "rant" channels had in the English sphere.
Loquendo is still widely used by edgy kids and those who want to make videos without using their real voices
That was amazing, Jorge. Most videos I see on this subject are usually just "The person in the video is a trans woman with polio" and that's it. You've gone into Sandie's life with great respect & dignity and then revealed a whole mystery about the channel that I had no idea even existed.
The video back then made it hard to sleep. It wasn't her that scared me, it was the editing. She deserved so much better people are fucking cruel.
While the music and editing added A LOT to the fear, I was extremely scared of him too

Ah. Thanks for the clarification. So, most likely a fan then.
did they ever explain why the images were on their account in the first place?
When I watched the documentary by Nick Bougas on RUclips, I remember seeing the top comment was from Sandie Crisp herself, asking to not be called walrus anymore, saying it hurt her feelings.
And people say she wasn't affected? No surprise they are wrong.
Nick is a scumbag though

This was literally one of the most terrifying videos i had seen as a child. Truly awful memories
Yeah this is honestly one of the only creepy internet things to get to me. Even seeing the notification sent a shiver down my spine.

For me it was “I feel fantastic” with Shayne St. John at a close second 🤣
Well now you know the truth and it shouldn’t be anymore.
The Obey The Walrus lore goes wayyy deeper than I thought.
@5:22 they got that disability because of big pharma deception
The edge lord who made the video must have had a big ego stroke. lol
Well I guess the video is its own modern urban legend of Latin America then.
This is just really sad. The Internet sucks. I can't imagine how hard Bunny's life must have been.

I think this is the first video to actually center on the history of the person that made the video rather than on Sandie Crisp. I didn't know about any of this! Thank you so much...

As a non native english speaker all that refereing to men as "she" or "they" is so confusing
Shes not a man tho, shes a woman, being trans isnt an english only things, if u cant get ur head around pronouns ur obviously not trying to understand the language well enough because that's basic basic
@@BeedleTheImmortal but he is a man. You can't change biology. It is completely US based mental illness to play pretend like that. If anything it's a complete and total disrespect towards real women.
@@AutumnWind92 girlie, you are kinda stupid! but thats okay, i am also non native speaker and i still learned respect, and advanced biology that proves that being queer is not a mental illness, intersexual people exist, gender are sex are far more complicated things than external anatomy, pronouns and all words are made up, science does understand and apply to trans people, its not an us thing, its not play pretend, there are no people who are 'real woman', no one is 100% a woman, and so on, ma'am! hope this helps, pretty lady!

hiii if ur native language is spanish I can explain it to you in it :) but I will try to not use too confusing words. this person is transgender, so she was born a man but she is a woman now. the word "she" matches with the person's gender, not sex. I hope I am not confusing you
1. Definitely the most interesting case of “Internet Drama” I’ve seen.
2. Was the video originally going to end after the patron list at 34:27 before you talked about more information, or did you leave it there intentionally? And if it’s the latter, why? It seems out of place.

I'm sick and tired of people saying a video is "disturbing" and then it's just a disabled person existing
It is a disturbing video whether the person is disabled or not. And im sure the millions of people losing sleep over this video would agree
Hey, it also had Andross lip-syncing to Itsy Bitsy Spider... I don't really get that part on any level to be honest.
@@amd1273 You are losing sleep over Andross singing Itsy Bitsy Spider and that adorable walrus pic?
Don’t simplify the video that much. The editing has a massive role, it’s far from just raw footage.
@@WillieMangaI can tell you didn’t watch the video when you were a child. That probably explains a lot.
2) Jair is a reference to Yair klein
3) Jessia and Yair were the same person/account.
4) Jessica Walrus is a nod to the Walrus and Carpenter story within a story of Alice in Wonderland. Do you notice the trend of following the rabbits in Alice in Wonderland & Morsa.
The Walrus & Carpenter story is about not jumping to conclusion and becoming a logophile
The Rabbit story is about following rabbit holes and Alice is us the audience who is following the rabbit hole.

There used to be a hella lot of "satanic" YT channels around 2008-2011 that started beef with users in the Loquendo community, who usually tried to "debunk" them. All these early YT dramas were identical to Obey's, for example, a channel named "loqloqloqloq" who tried to emulate the username 666 aesthetic. Simply bored teenagers, lmao
I remember when people liked to make flash animations using "Speakonia" voices. They were more stupidly offensive than creepy.
I think it was probably inspired by what happened to David Riner, who was mutilated, abused, and raised as a girl.
Sleep away camp isnt transphobic lol it was one of the best twists I've seen in a horror movie and explores one of the most fascinating and captivating horror concepts (forced feminization)
