    Adya, gotta love him! Actually I have never had many or maybe any real spiritual visions or such like. And I have had the thought that maybe that is a good thing. I have studied spirituality, practiced, read etc. For years. I get what he means about Spiritual ego. It has all been a trip. And here I am still looking with millions of thoughts interfering, ha!

    Good one Kung Wu. Love Adya but like this one, some really stand out and embody what he’s about as well as what we’re about.

    So if there's nothing, what does the conditioning?

    • @KungWu
      @KungWu  Год назад +1

      To the conditioned/familiar mind, it's "nothing". To the "nothing" itself, it's aliveness; it's indescribable; it's simply aware... Another familiar word for this "nothing" is "spirit"...

      @@KungWu Kung Wu, Am I the thinker of my thoughts? It feels like there is a controlling center in my body pushing the thoughts and feelings out and that I am that controlling center.

    • @KungWu
      @KungWu  Год назад +1

      Can you really control what thoughts to have and when to have those thoughts? Or do thoughts just arise spontaneously (when you do not do intentional thinking for functioning)?
      What is aware of all of your experiences, including thoughts, feelings and sensations?
      True answers are only in your direct experiences. Maybe check out an exercise from Adyashanti's recent book "The Direct Way: Thirty Practices to Evoke Awakening" at our facebook page: facebook.com/groups/directway/posts/569656507879790
      This is the first exercise in the book and it happens to be about what you are asking. As Adyashanti introduced the book: "These are the most fundamental, concise, one-pointed, and immediate form of The Way of Liberation teachings - the activity of self-realization or awakening itself."
      You can also find some free content of this book (including the first exercise) on Google Books (by searching "The Direct Way by Adyashanti" at books.google.com/).
