Between lucid dreams and glimpses of Oneness (short awakenings wherein ego resumed the illusion of control) I had the connection that Awakening was to live lucidly! When you dream… what’s not you? When you dream… what’s not your fault? When you dream… are there any mistakes? 🙃
Almost all people spend thier life getting in their own way tied up in sense perceptions never realising thier true nature they walk about like hungry ghosts. If they ever woke up and almost all people would swear that they are awake they would come to the realisation that they were fast asleep
@fedup, I don’t accept “supposed to be.” World and universe is full of chaos. We most often confuse coincidence with intent. Yes, the magic power to do miracles is called coincidence. Lol.
There are certainly pleasant and unpleasant experiences. Some foods I like, some I don’t. Some experiences the mind and or body likes, some it doesn’t right? What’s beyond both and or before both? We are right? Or “I Am.” Yes, everything is exactly as it should be, if it were supposed to be different it would be. All the world is but a stage, it’s men and women merely actors. We have no individual power or control here. There is no me or you anyway. Most people identify as the ego or mind structure as being who they are. Some believe they are the body. We are neither of these tho right? So what are we? That’s the great question innit it?
@@cps_Zen_Runall chaos is still adhering to very specific and immutable laws and rules, all the down to cellular level. the entire universe and everything in it is made of exactly the same material which most of us call consciousness, which is made of protons, electrons etc following precise laws. The relationship of thoughts to feelings and emotions is inverse: Feelings and emotions are translated into thoughts and not thoughts into feelings and emotions.
@@burnalog7861 Emotions want to experience themselves using the thought process and imagination and not the other way around. Emotions are impulsive reactions to sensory experiences and also to their memory. Thoughts or more precisely thinking are the way to communicate sense experiences (psychological experiences too). So when you read a novel the word you read creates in your imagination the situation they describe. And this situation is associated with certain emotions. So, through reading we live virtually the sense experience which is always associated and experienced together with some emotional reaction. So,.thoughts or thinking work as a means to live a sensory experience and the emotion/s related to it. So, thoughts do not create emotions but function more as activators. Now, if we have dissolved the anger related to a sense-experience no matter how much we think about this anger will not arise in us. Another example, if you think exactly the same in another language that you do not speak then thoughts will not activate emotions since ther is not any association of these thought-sounds with the emotions. Emotions are innate in our psyche, but thoughts is something we have learned. So, babies express emotions although they have not thoughts. That means the emotions do not depend on thinking. Gradually as we grow and we learn to speak and think emotions associate with certain thoughts or thought patterns which can activate emotions. However, once emotions are activated by some thought or thought pattern the whole thinking process is maintained and coloured by the emotional state. Finally thinking has meaning to us because of desire (which is emotive in nature) and emotions. So the underlying cause of thinking is always desire or an emotion. Why do you want, for example to watch a movie or reads a novel? Because you want (desire) to live emotions. So always behind our thinking, behaviour and actions is desire or emotion.
Like being in a spiders web ...the more you struggle the more entangled we get. ..Don't struggle. .accept.... Accept that we get in the spiders web ...As Eckhart Tolle .says........"What we accept we go beyond ".....Good luck everyone...
Those who have "intimate experience of how (their) mind works" will never become aware of how "trapped their consciousness is in their mind state" this notion is a consequence of not having understood the essential point of mind.
@@720scremastered how wonderful I am so happy for you. I hope you can remain strong and resolute and find the peace you are looking for. You have done well
Yes, because the witness consciousness is mind too. We perpetuate the dualistic nature of the mind. But it is a useful technique to start with that can work for some. Like a wooden stick (witness) is used to stir a fire (mind) The fire consumes the mind and the stick eventually.
Hmmm...and who understands the essential point of mind? Isn't that the mind too? Same trap. I would say either there is mind or no-mind. You can't miss no-mind. Which means , all the other time is mind. This is no problem - mind or no-mind. Same thing. Both content of awareness. The absence of mind is still mind. The pauses in a song are part of the song. Both is called music. The pauses in mind are part of the song of life. Music is called "god" , "awareness", our true nature.
@@burnalog7861 My point doesn't concern concepts about whether there is mind or not or how one might posit the existence of things like consciousness and awareness. The point I am trying to make is much more direct- someone who has investigated the appearance of their own mind, whether that be thoughts or consciousness or any of the other things you refer to, having gained insight about these things, will not make say their "consciousness is trapped in their mind-state." This is conceptual imputation that doesn't reflect any visceral experience that one might have. But don't take it from me, check it out for yourself. See if you can find a consciousness trapped inside a mind state.
