Haha. You gotta see the trilogy for this video to make complete sense. Your reaction was still GREAT! 🤘🤘🤘 The trilogy consists of: "You Against You", "Repentless" & "Pride In Prejudice". 😉😉😉
The best SLAYER song in my opinion always has and always be Angel Of Death. You did an amazing first reaction video to that song a while back. You had a great perspective of both the music and the lyrics. Keep up the great work Lilly Jane!!!
It's kind of cool that Slayer went so brutal with the video, but I also feel like it actually distracts people from really hearing the song. They wrote this song in tribute to their fallen bandmate RIP the great Jeff Hanneman.
Idk she did get what Jeff was writing about (pretty sure these are unreleased lyrics from Jeff as they are written in his perspective with the war line) He lived his life how he wanted and didn't give a shit about societal norms. That is why Jeff was a metal icon, he just loved playing music in its entirety.
This song is basically Slayer telling everyone about their perspective as a band, as well as how their former guitarist and songwriter, Jeff Hanneman and how he lived.
I saw slayer live at the forum in la and it was the best show of my life! There was a religious group protesting the show outside telling us we were going to hell and when i went inside there was a fire in the mosh pit and i chipped my tooth to this song after catching an elbow! Good times 😅😅 never seen a pit that came close to the matching the energy of that one! Slayer fu¢kiπ rules!
3:07. Yes, how did we get here. When a RUclipsr has to censor multiple parts of a video easily available on RUclips because she might be demonetized. Fucking sad!
I’ve seen that music video so many times that even though it’s blurred out I can tell what you’re jumping at😅😅 Spirit In Black is my favorite Slayer song and while I don’t think there is an official music video, it would make for a great listen!
You should check out some Exodus next. The guy with the red guitar is Gary Holt, the main song writer and guitarist of Exodus. He joined when Slayer's original guitarist died. Also doesn't that last riff sound a lot like Damage Inc?
whole Repentless Album is good. Very best songs from that album is the eponyms track you just heard as well as "Implode" and "When the Stillness Comes"
Angel of Death is my fav Slayer song and the one that gets me pumped the most but War Ensemble and Repentless are both great too. Yes, if you have to go in to battle (War or a Fight) then Slayer is the band to listen to. Slayer are not violent people themselves but they sing about a lot of violent and evil stuff.
Your reactions to this are awesome. The song was written how their passed guitarist Jeff Hanneman RIP saw life. Its also part of the killogy including pride and Prejudice and you against you. Included in a slayer movie which was at cinemas. Enjoy
This was the first time Slayer recorded anything without founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman (who died in 2013) ... Kerry King (guitar) was the only songwriter left in the band (He and Hanneman wrote all the music and bassist/ vocalist Tom Araya would contribute some lyrics) when they did the 'Repentless' album in 2015... Exodus guitarist Gary Holt had been filling in for Jeff Hanneman (he suffered a near-fatal bacterial infection) on tour since 2011... Kerry King wrote new songs hoping that Jeff Hanneman would come back, but he thought to himself ... if he didn't come back, what would happen? It didn't help that original drummer Dave Lombardo left the band in 2012 after a contract dispute... Paul Bostaph (drums) rejoined Slayer in 2013 - he had replaced Lombardo in the past... After Jeff Hanneman passed away in 2013, Kerry decided to finish the 'Repentless' album, playing a bulk of the guitars... Gary Holt contributed a few guitar solos and that became Slayer's final album in 2015. Tom Araya opted to call it a day, so Slayer announced a final tour in 2017 and ended their career w/ a final L.A. show in 2019, where the band got their start in the clubs.
You should listen to "Dittohead" from Slayer's "Divine Intervention" album. That song is such a rush, everytimeI listen to it, I want to break something.
Life long slayer fan here. Relentless ( isn’t even a word until this song ) is the 2nd vid of 3 total. So you kind of jumped right in the middle of the story line. All 3 are on the tube. And worth going into the rabbit hole. I’m a fan of it. But I feel slayer has four different phases over the years, but staying completing relevant on each album they’ve dropped. Hell Awaits, War Ensemble , 213, Skeleton Christ, silent Screams,, Disciple, and cult should point you in a round balanced showing of they developed through the years. How you have a great Christmas and enjoy you reactions very much.
Is this reallly the most popular Slayer song??? If this is true, people are stupid, I don"t know what else to say... Anyway: I already mentioned once, now I repeat myself: IMHO the most brutal, motherf*ckin kickass Slayer song is: CIRCLE OF BELIEFS on 'Divine Intervention" album.
Slayer songs you haven't done yet that I highly recommend. "Jesus Saves", "Altar of Sacrifice", "Born of Fire", "Gemini", "Skeletons of Society", and "Spirit in Black"
I heartily recommend checking out The Tea Party if you have not. A few suggsestions would be Heaven's coming Down, The Bazzar or Sister Awake. Just throwing that out there. That Said I do enjoy this channel. Thank you for all you do.
I have to give you props, you are a fucking genius. I've been watching your Slayer reactions and you have seriously educated me so much on their songs meanings. While being a Slayer fan my entire life at 47 years old. You extract meanings I was clueless too. I just thought the words seemed brutal, but your breakdown is amazing and I love it. Seasons was one of my fav songs and I was clueless to its meaning. I just always loved the drums and energy, if you've ever been to one of their concerts the amount of energy built up inside you as they prepare to come on stage is indescribable. You'll never be as pumped up in your life as you would be at a Slayer concert. Its so good one year we saw them in vegas, cali, and salt lake city in a two month period. Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do SKELETONS OF SOCIETY
you should check out "Slaughter of the Soul" by At The Gates, they are a bit like the Slayer and/or Metallica of Melodic death metal, they were one of the first bands to ever play the genre and sort of created the classic sound.
@@PaulGuy It's unfortunately a scene wide problem, that isn't expressly anything to do with Slayer themselves. Alot of oldheads believe that how music WAS made is how it should always be made, no experimentation allowed. It's noticeable pattern with any band that dared to branch out, even a little, case in point...Slayer. Slayer tried shit out but like they always retain their sound...it isn't THAT different...but still too much changed according to them.
You have now entered the Repentless Killogy and you'll HAVE to watch the other 2 videos to understand how the story unfolds, the other 2 videos in the story are "You Against You" and "Pride in Prejudice". You might have noticed that in this video, the one eyed inmate basically started this whole riot for the sole reason to get that other inmate. Afterwards he even returned to his cell without resistance. in the other videos, you're gonna find out why.
In my experience, EVERY Slayer song is an adrenaline rush, a roller-coaster ride that takes you to the edge of sanity. Whether it's a frenetic thrasher like Repentless, Raining Blood, or War Ensemble, or a slow-paced burner like Disciple, Dead Skin Mask, or When The Stillness Comes, Slayer overloads the nervous system like no other group in history. No other group comes close.
this video has Danny Trejo, I believe the tall bald dude played either Jason or Micheal Myers in one the F 13th or Halloween. Definity need to watch the trilogy, like other comments mentioned. Why cloud out some scenes? I hope your able to see the violence
That's his name!!! I knew his face but the whole video in the back of my mind I was like "what is his name??", it was driving me a lil nuts! So thank you for commenting that!
after watching a few of your 2pac and metallica and linkin park videos I did a fast search of your channel no slipknot? really?? The Devil In I and is one of my favorite songs by them. you cant go wrong with there top views songs really.. would love a review of one. almost 2 billon views with the 6 videos between them
Okay, I landed here by pure chance and I must admit that I am impressed by: The fact that you are really into the Metal style that I listened to when I was a teenager (I am 47 years old) The sincerity of your reactions and the intelligence of your lyrics analysis because most people only see the stupidly violent and superficial side without understanding the subtlety and underlying depth that is most often in the themes addressed by this style. So, since I'm hooked, I'm going to make a few suggestions as an old metalhead veteran. First of all, you MUST react to 'You can't bring me down' by SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. It's got everything: Rocky George's crazy solos, Mike 'Cyco' Muir's sharp flow and lyrics, and it's the first band of Robert Trujillo now in METALLICA. So for your Metal culture, it's a must. And you, who are as much into Rap as Metal now, should like the gangsta Crips affiliated side of the band. Then, since we're on a SLAYER video (the greatest band in history), a reaction to 'Black Magic' would be great. It's the early SLAYER, Tom Araya sang differently but it remains so great. And in the songs that make me want to break everything: PANTERA: 'Yesterday don't mean shit' (live version at Ozzfest 2000 is dope) OBITUARY: 'Threatening Skies'. You're from Florida and you're not into the cult Florida Death Metal scene yet? ;) SATYRICON: 'Fuel For Hatred'. Let's Black & Roll! ENTOMBED: 'Out of Hand'. ANGELCORPSE: 'Solar Wills'. You're not ready for this. This is probably the most vicious, hateful, barbaric stuff you will hear so far. ;) Enjoy!
Classic era Slayer is 1983-1994. Their first 5-6 albums is what cemented their legacy as one of the all-time greats in metal. Personally I don't like the stylistic direction they went after that with a few exceptions. Albums like Repentless and Christ Illusion don't even deserve to be a pimple on the ass of prime era Slayer. Go listen to their great pieces like Ghosts of War, Crionics, At Dawn They Sleep, Mind Control, Postmortem.
Haha. You gotta see the trilogy for this video to make complete sense. Your reaction was still GREAT! 🤘🤘🤘
The trilogy consists of: "You Against You", "Repentless" & "Pride In Prejudice". 😉😉😉
It's the Killalogy I think. 😅
SLAYER RULES!
A term from A Clockwork Orange describes this perfectly. "A Bit of Ultraviolence" 🤘
The best SLAYER song in my opinion always has and always be Angel Of Death. You did an amazing first reaction video to that song a while back. You had a great perspective of both the music and the lyrics. Keep up the great work Lilly Jane!!!
Diciple or silent scream are great songs to listen to lyrically.
It's kind of cool that Slayer went so brutal with the video, but I also feel like it actually distracts people from really hearing the song. They wrote this song in tribute to their fallen bandmate RIP the great Jeff Hanneman.

This song is basically Slayer telling everyone about their perspective as a band, as well as how their former guitarist and songwriter, Jeff Hanneman and how he lived.
One of the few romantic songs of Slayer.
Slayer is a different breed!
Great reaction Lilly!! ❤ “Disciple” is pretty intense too!!
I saw slayer live at the forum in la and it was the best show of my life! "punched in the face" that pretty much sums up slayer
"before you see the light, you must die" - south of heaven.
I really like your comments on the songs you are reaction to - very thoughtful and analytical 😊
Awesome band, loved your reaction thanks......
3:07. Yes, how did we get here. When a RUclipsr has to censor multiple parts of a video easily available on RUclips because she might be demonetized. Fucking sad!

Great song, great channel! Skeletons of Society is one of My favorites! I listened to it in Iraq a lot 2004-2005! U.S.M.C.! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your service,Sir!semper Fi.🫡😎🤘🏻🇫🇷🤝🇺🇸
You were smiling to start the video...and then....shock. That's Slayer.
There is no way this is their 'most popular song.' Maybe most views on youtube because of the video.
Other than the obvious, I love “Black Magic”.
You have to check the other two videos in Slayer's killogy
whole Repentless Album is good. Very best songs from that album is the eponyms track you just heard as well as "Implode" and "When the Stillness Comes"

Slayer!!🤘🤘🤘💯💯
This may be the first time I've seen you truly shocked watching a video.
Fucking Slayeeeer!!!!
Bad-ass song!
I forgot how brutal and cool it was
Definitely have to see the whole trilogy
Your reactions to this are awesome. The song was written how their passed guitarist Jeff Hanneman RIP saw life.
Its also part of the killogy including pride and Prejudice and you against you. Included in a slayer movie which was at cinemas.

Hell awaits
Kerry King wrote this song for Jeff after he passed away
Good one👊🏽⚡️ ‘Ghost of war’ and ‘Silent scream’ are beautifully intense.
That's a different rhythm guitarist in the video. Jeff Hanneman, one of the founding members, passed away.
SLAYER!!!!
This was the first time Slayer recorded anything without founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman (who died in 2013) ... SLAYER⚡️🤘
A lot of people don’t realize that guard in the beginning was Roach from the movie “People Under the Stairs”.
Also, no disrespect to Dave bit…Paul is my favorite drummer.
Gotta look up You Against You and Pride and Prejudice to complete the trilogy
You should listen to "Dittohead" from Slayer's "Divine Intervention" album. That song is such a rush, everytimeI listen to it, I want to break something.
Do "Serenity in Murder" and "SS-3" from Slayers album Divine Intervention.
This video is actually part of a 3 video killogy that tells the whole story.
Fuck-ing Slay-er 🤘🏼
Fun fact: “repentless” isn’t even an actual word Kerry king made it up for the song tittle
Life long slayer fan here. Relentless ( isn’t even a word until this song ) is the 2nd vid of 3 total. So you kind of jumped right in the middle of the story line. All 3 are on the tube. on 'Divine Intervention" album.
A glorious return to form for Slayer.
Pretty sure this is one of the top hardest songs they have made. Not since Lux Aeterna have I been so excited to see you react to a video.
My fav slayer song is stain of mind
Slayer songs you haven't done yet that I highly recommend. "Jesus Saves", "Altar of Sacrifice", "Born of Fire", "Gemini", "Skeletons of Society", and "Spirit in Black"
For me... It would either be Slayer, chasing death or war ensemble 🤔🤤😨😵

"Exile" off of "God Hates Us All" will certainly make you want to throw a chair, knock over a lamp...rip someone's heart out...
My favorite songs of Slayer-not for the lyrics,are....''Show no Mercy'',''Evil has no Boundaries''-live,''Black Magic''...Good reaction...

Great video
The reason that you might not have heard about this song before is the Slayer Purists may not like it because its newer.
There's definitely too much of that. I've loved Slayer since the 80's, and it's all awesome. I don't get the gatekeeping.
@@PaulGuy It's unfortunately a scene wide problem, that isn't expressly anything to do with Slayer themselves.

Please do reaction for Slayer Eyes of the insane, this song and video gives me chills
From what I heard, Slayer actually filmed this in a prison with actual prisoners around them.

Some of the crispest solos ever contributed to a Slayer album by to Gary Fucking Holt! Give Exodus a play!
there is more vids following that guy... brutal
The older I get, the more misanthropic I become... Your reactions are great, though! 🤘
Great reaction as always Lilly! ❤Hopefully you can do SLAYER album reactions like the Metallica vids you’ve been doing!🤘🏻
Sucks it's blurred out, other reactions showed the video normally
Lilly didn't want to risk the video getting demonetized, that's why.
Directed by Felissa Rose❤
Slayer song that makes me want to get up and start throwing stuff?
"WAR ENSEMBLE"
REACT TO "BLOOD LINE" OF SLAYER OFFICIAL VIDEO,GOOD SONG,REGARDS
Right. Better song and better video.
Pink floyd wish you were here live pulse 1994 please:)

Gotta see Postmortem 🤘

Hello; react to Sepultura "War for territory"; greetings from Guanaqueros; Chile.
Gotta watch the whole trilogy to know what's going on

lmfao you know its a good video when it's blurred 80% of the time lmfao
Loving your reactions. I think it’s time you listened to Sleep Token. Thank me later 😉
chemical warfare and silent scream and war ensemble
That kick drum though, oof
Like power metal on steroids.
Not even close. It's Thrash on steroids
Mandatory is probably the most uhm it has the most action, but knowing you your going to ignore this comment
