Did people forget Art killed the kids the babysitter was watching at the end of All Hallows Eve? I'm surprised at how many people got upset and shocked over him killing a kid in this one.
I imagine it’s because that movie isnt as well known as this one is. Art wasnt the superstar he is now so less attention. Now that he’s pop culture there’s going to be plenty of people complaining about the excessive violence. Personally I hate these movies, I think there pure garbage. But I know it’s a movie and I’ve got nothing against those whi like these movies. I definitely enjoy Found Flicks work and I hope to see dead meat cover it. But there’s always going to be people who get upset about these things, best to just ignore them and have fun!

Damien Leone definitely managed to capture that 80's local straight to VHS vibe that I've missed so much when I was a kid, though.
I love your respect for what the movie prioritized and valid critiques of the plot, the first movie had no plot at all and that was the point of it, show off the practical effects, I love how you dive into the positives and negatives in movies with fleshed out descriptions 👍🏻

I really hated how Art took a mallet to the main characters hands at the end, to where she could barely even open the box. Bones hanging out of knuckles and fingers dangling. Then 30 seconds later shes weiling that sword like nothing ever happened to her hands. She was even gripping the sword with the kid hanging on the end of it
I think you missed alot of the previous story, the sword is magic and can heal any wounds when it's in her possession it's not just "the sword can't harm her"

So I saw this with some friends from work. Never seen the previous but I knew they were brutal. Boy was I in for a surprise from the start. Thankfully I blinked and missed the chainsaw to groin part, and just saw the chainsaw to butthole part. , my friends went to the bathroom and came out to find me splayed across the bench contemplating wtf I just saw. Sooo I just got done watching "Heretic" And I have some fun ideas of what the movie plot, message, and overall theme of the movie. It was well and almost too faced paced it had some great tension. It overall made me think a lot Aswell giving it a sense of psychological horror to it. Anyway, I think it would make a great video
I definitely have similar sentiments about the lack of plot progression and appreciating the films for what they are, but I will defend the character moments between the violence. There are plenty of well developed characters and meaningful interactions that make the violence more impactful. The script and lore could be a lot tighter though, but the series is improving with each film.

Terrifier 1 I'll give you is probably garbage if not for David Howard Thornton's performance. Terrifier 2 and 3 have actual narratives with a lead character that you actually care about. I very much disagree with the notion that there is nothing else to the Terrifier movies, but I would respect you don't have to like them. We are all entitled to our own opinion after all.
Its not for everyone and ironically it's not art but it is a fun dumb horror movie that definitely fits the 80s slasher (sequel) feels but if dumb gore and fun murders arn't for you then just skip this there is plenty of other stuff out there

I think her Dad is supposed to be literally Saint Michael; the commander of God’s army and is usually depicted wielding a sword.

Honestly Terrifier has more story in the last 2 movies than a lot of slashers. I actually enjoy the good vs. evil and demons and angels stuff
