Malaysia truly asia has been Malaysia slogan since the 1990's. On english, I would say KL is probably the #1 or #2 city in terms of english fluency in Asia!!
I thought u were arabic...how polite and soft you speak...might be you arab american...but you real muslim...i like the way u speak...so gentle and softspoken
What distinguishes Malaysian satay is that the peanut sauce is quite fatty and creamy, and the original satay sauce is mostly from Malay cuisine, in fact, it has been served during the Aidilfitri festival since ages ago served with ketupat and lemang.
You both have sum it up nicely about our Malaysia. Not forgetting our brothers n sisters in Sabah and Sarawak as well as from the Asli and Sikh community. Love from 🇲🇾
Don't forget to mention how much each race in Malaysia respects each other's religion ..with Muslim mosques, Hindu themples, Chinese temples n churches built in every other street in the city sometimes along the same street. The government also provides public holidays for each religious festivals and new year, all year long for all Malaysians ..this is the best part of our Malaysia....

Yes, Malaysia definitely has one of the most diverse food cultures in the world. There's so many options to choose from besides the usual local Chinese, Malay, and Indian cuisines. They're also the ever popular international cuisine such as Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, and Middle Eastern food options that are readily available everywhere in the city of KL. One will easily put on some pounds if not careful. Lol!😅👌
We are a commonwealth country, once the British colony. So we have a lot of similarities to UK eg the power, plug, English is taught in school, democratic country, the laws, the parliament etc.
British first arrived in Malaya/malaysia in the 1800's. british teach english in malaya school and Malaysian have adopted some of their customs, including Afternoon Tea.
Tea is not British customs 😭 It has always been Asian culture introduced by the Chinese. British discovered tea and traded it with opium, a 2 strikes with one stone that destabilised Chinese dynasty and caused Chinese to become opium junkies. The British loves tea so much that they opened tea plantation in Cameron High and Sri Lanka.
@@nutzhazel i dont talk about tea or tea plantation, i said afternoon tea.."Late one afternoon in 1840 the 7th Duchess of Bedford, Lady in Waiting to Queen Victoria, ordered a tray with a pot of tea and a light snack of bread with butter and cake be brought to her room - and invented afternoon tea."
There is another one largest that worth mentioning - Nivana Memorial Park in Semenyih, Selangor. It's the largest Chinese burial land in South East Asia and also one of the largest in Asia. Blew my mind when I first found out about this as I often saw the signboard of this place before.
Your guys are so positively infectious in the video ❤. Surprised when you mentioned the top malls and you missed out Midvaley Megamall. It is the biggest in Malaysia and a must to visit. Don't forget to visit Langkawi and climb the Mount Kinabalu in Sabah 😅. Cheers and all the best
FYI, here in Malaysia most of Malaysian Quality Standards "MS" are taken from the British Standards "BS". That why the 3 pin electrical plug is a standard here same as the UK.
Actually as a Malaysian, we all have to agree that our country always keeps the people happy and tries to provide better facilities when it comes to protection, transportation, education, sports, and tourist areas. Now without a shadow of doubt, we can compare Malaysia with the top class countries around the world.
Same reaction when we visited Malaysia last March. We loved the place so much that we are itching to go back and vlog some more. Thanks for this great video, Skye! You guys are awesome!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for those amazing and great findings and sharing about Malaysia! As a Malaysian, really appreciates that! All the best to you two ya...Take care!
People are helpful, polite, and friendly, somewhat reserved. Much of the west coast are mangrove shores not beaches. Chinese cafeterias serve a great variety of fish and veggies. Driving in the cities is like skateboarding in a labyrinth where the bushes move. Lack crosswalks, sidewalks etc. Parking can be a problem. Good train system in KL, not elsewhere. Worth a travel experience despite the tropical humidity.
Best beef, lamb and chicken satay is at Sri Hartamas, Nasi Kandar Deen Bistro. You guy should also try out some Chinese local foods around pudu, imbi, old klang road @ jalan klang lama. Not sure if you enjoy night life, but there are a lot of awesome rooftop bars in KL.. I’d highly recommend Marini’s on 57 @ Petronas tower, Vertigo @ Banyan tree, Fuego @ Troika Sky Dining, Skybar @ Traders hotel. These are my fav go to places when I’m back in KL.
Nasi lemak is our national dish. We have it for breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner, anytime at all! Try satay in Kajang, they're famous for it. And yeah, we learn English as a 2nd language from elementary school and it's a compulsory subject
i’m glad you bring up the plug. when i was in the philippines some years back, i ran into a bit of a pickle because i didn’t know that they use a different type of plug than the one we use here in malaysia. what was supposed to be an easy breezy start to a week-long training session turned into an hour-long frantic search for an adapter to connect my laptop to the power source. the class couldn’t start because the trainer, me, couldn’t get his computer to power on. what a way to make a good first impression. 😅 i took for granted that they would use the same type of plug considering we’re neighbouring countries. but i learned my lesson.
Our English is good, that was why I was able to become a part time supply teacher in Sussex UK teaching Science/Biology from year 7 to A level in the yr 2000/2002 while doing my Masters. Cheers
