    We’ve seen Jimmy Case’s highlights on the Telly- tributes now and then. But what about
    incidents that happen behind closed doors? Jimmy Case was no stranger to such drama.
    Let’s see what old Jimmy Case hid from the world.
    James Robert Case, or Jimmy, as he was known, was born on May 18, 1954. He is the
    Liverpool legend who, in a sense, thought he could very well make for himself a different career
    path compared to the other blokes playing football.
    With bustling activities as a nipper playing with the local scouts, he was on the rampage by his
    mid-teens, already hardened from being one of the dockworkers' teams' players. What a way to
    build character from formative years! But Jimmy wasn't just all brawn and tackles. While most
    lads his age were just messing around, Jimmy was showing a dedication most would not have
    believed. He apprenticed as an electrician, working a full day's shift before squeezing in training
    with Liverpool mornings and nights. That kind of work ethic is what made him invaluable to Bob
    Paisley's amazing team.
    They called him the "iron fist" alongside Graeme Souness, but Jimmy was more than just
    a tackler; he was a visionary strategist, albeit an unsung one, who, in pulling the strings,
    let Liverpool dominate.

    My Dad said, on his way to work every day he would see Case stood on the corner of his street waiting for Bob Paisley ( who lived nearby ) to pick him up every day for training …. How things have changed eh !

    Jimmy says in his book, That story at the start is when Liverpool played Everton in 1980, it was the game were jimmy ended the career of Geoff nulty, bob paisley always insisted after a derby to take the players away to prevent trouble in liverpool city centre,On this occasion they were in Llangollen and terry mcdermott was drinking in the bar on his own whilst the other players were on a pub crawl, rumour has it that terry mac could seriously drink, anyway the barman told him he had drank enough and refused him any more alcohol, terry mac then got angry and started throwing stools around & throwing punches, unfortunately case & kennedy arrived as it was kicking off and got involved in a brawl with the landlord, barman and kitchen staff, anyway to cut a long story short, joe fagan told case and kennedy to get in the car and drove them back to Liverpool before the police and ambulance arrived, all the Liverpool players arrived back to be questioned by police but the hotel staff couldn't pick out kennedy and case and so they escaped charges, the instigator terry mac was completely unaware of the trouble he'd caused until the next morning when he woke up and came down for breakfast, case, kennedy and mcdermott were all fined and both case and kennedy were sold in 1981 😮

    Next time, use a human voice in the narration, FFS. By the way, he was a VERY good and underrated layer as well as being a hard old B.

      Case and Kennedy were good mates off the pitch and would go drinking together. Bob Paisley believed that Case was a bad influence on Kennedy and wanted to break them up. When the opportunity arose to sign Mark Lawrenson, Paisley offered Case in part exchange. Pity because I believe that Case was the only natural successor to Souness.
