I think Millenium Cross shuffling back into the deck is so that if you have Exodia pieces on the field you shuffle them back into the deck then the Fusion Exodia sets Obliterate which let’s you send pieces from the deck to the GY to bounce cards. It’s not a great effect but I think that’s what the point of it is
Sengenjin being added on the side isn't actually just to call him out specifically, Farfa was actually somehow right, he's actually called Milennium Primitive Man and it is in fact a Frog the Jam.
Sort of. His name is Sennen Genjin, which *translates* to Millennium Primitive Man. This might seem like a silly distinction, but a lot of OCG card names literally are just in English (or their alphabets closest approximation), like Sangan (called Critter), Curse of Dragon (called the same), or Giant Trunade (called Hurricane). So I wanted to distinguish a bit, since this case is different.
@@minabasejderha5972 Lazily putting a card's name into romaji, especially at random, is just as bad of a localization as changing the name completely, because it's the same thing in essence.
The question is if Exodia Incarnate gets a spot in the deck. It is unaffected by everything, and only needs to tribute an Exodia piece to SS it. Then when it dies you get to draw a bunch.
FYI the Dark Magician Mirror Force can be used if your cards would be destroyed by card effect - not just battle. The Gold Sarcophagus archetype does lack protection, so this is good but we if it was set by the DM retrain, it can't be used the turn it was set.
I very much like that these new cards aren't built around the Exodia FTK shit. They could never be built around making that more consistent really because those would be getting turbo banned.
I am pretty sure the idea of these new cards is to give you some kind of interruptions to keep the game long so that you can keep searching the pieces with the trap or add them back from the gy with incarnate.
Farfa not noticing sarc adds the DM and mirror force isn't JUST a battle trap is pretty funny but sad, I'd like to see a slightly more accurate analysis cuz these cards don't seem THAT bad
You have to remember that, with early Yu-Gi-Oh cards, translators didn't care what names most of the cards were given because effects that cared about names didn't exist at the time. However, once they did, some cards with the original Japanese names were compatible as-is without needing special consideration, but the English cards with unstandardized names needed the cards to say they include or reject those old cards to match how they work in the OCG.
The median card word on any activated effect includes search’s. So unless the open with a hand trap like ash or some removal that can’t be negotiated by the new exodea boss, this adds a new body and protects the boss further. It’s actually really good.
Sengenjin is one of my favourite monsters, so seeing it retrained that also supports it (even as a vanilla monster) is a dream come true, I'll be running this deck and adding Sengenjin itself. Moon Maiden activates when ANY effect goes off, and then stops your opponent from targeting for the turn, so say if your opponent activates Feather Duster, you can summon this card and have that floodgate for the turn.
you're still able to keep backrow for their turn so it's not unreasonable to be playing lab or even a deck that searches an archetypal omni. I'm pretty sure that unaffected cards won't be shuffled back as well but that doesn't seem practical.
Birdman Joe can bounce all exoda pieces back to the hand when you tribut a wind monster, there has to be a combo that gets a wind monster on the board then you activate demise of the land and then chain the exodia bosses exodo blaze effect. This puts all exioda pices in the spell/trap zones then the simorg feels spell lets you tribute summon birdman Joe on your opponent turn bouncing all exodia pieces back to the hand.

I'm assuming that DM is in the archetype as DSOD is the canon ending to the manga, and Yugi uses DM along with the cards that have been printed for this archetype already, as well as the Gadgets, Magician Girls, and presumably the new Magnet Warriors.
Sengenjin is a "Millennium" monster in the OCG but not the TCG because the TCG never bothered to actually translate his name, so the TCG has to add an extra clause to these card effects to keep the search targets the same in both formats. The alternative would be to errata Sengenjn like Summoned Skull, where the latter is a Normal non-effect monster with (This card is always treated as an "Archfiend" card.) printed on it.
I'm pretty sure these cards all specify Sengenjin is to keep TCG/OCG rulings consistent. It's OCG name translated includes "Millennium" so I'd assume OCG cards only need the one term to search it. It's like the opposite of Frog the Jam Edit: genuinely didn't know he was about to bring up frog the jam
Well i wouldnt say the new dark magician is really dark magician support as you have to play the gold sarc spell for the DM but in order to get the full value of the New DM you have to pop it by a card effect which is something not really easy in DM. The new DM card is pretty much just support for the gold sarc deck which is still one of the most creative deck.
"Sengenjin" or 千年原人 (Sennen Genjin) in Japanese. If we translate his name, his name is literally "Thousand (千 /sen) years (年/nen) Primitive Man (原人/Genjin). Or we can call the "Thousand years" as "Millenium". In short, basically this "Sengenjin" is a "Milenium" card, like the the other original retrain cards, like Millennium Golem or Shield.
The fusion doesn't lose atk at the end of the turn. Say you get it out turn 2 with full LP, it gets 8k. Your turn comes along with no damage, standby you take 1k, if you battle it gains 7k bringing it to 15k. You get weaker, it gets stronger.
Sengenjin's original Japanese name is Millennium Primitive Man (i.e. it is a Millennium card and is therefore searchable by all these new cards), but because the idiots at the localization team named it "Sengenjin" 20 years ago, now they're forced to add "or "Sengenjin"" to every card that searches a Millennium card/monster, because it IS a Millennium monster in the original.
Why do I think Millennium Cross is coming as a Limited card just like Exodia pieces? Anyway OTK deck, and one that dies if you just Ash the Shield since it is the only Cross searcher in the deck, the only other way is to play Left Arm Offering, but it lose his OTK potential since you can't set the Blaze nor the Flame with the Exodia effect. man i seriously thought the boss monster was gonna do something cool like every time opponents activates card effect it lets you add exodia pieces from deck/gy to hand or something that'd be so cool but noooooooooo here have another generic negate cuz there's not a billion other cards that can already do that
It's a shame their monster searcher doesn't search The Legendary Exodia Incarnate because it would be one of the few targets you could actually use your normal summon with (and an extra use for the limbs)
it really doesnt work with it as it requires you to have at least of the pieces in hand to summon, plus there isnt a way to put the limbs in the gy other than with the incarnate so it would pretty much just be a 0/0 monster making it useless
@arkanamaster4961 Obliterate dumps the pieces too, and Phantom Exodia sets it directly from deck, so there could be a way to make it work. You could also run Future Fusion to dump all 5, but then of course it has a very high bricking chance.
The Exodia stuff is weird. The Phantom Exodia God Incarnate is kind of a Towers but it doesn't have full immunity like Legendary Exodia Incarnate. It's ATK is defended on your life but alot of your Millenium Guys needs you to pay 2K to Summon themselves. Also said ATK only works once per turn. I don't get the Continuous Spell gimmick. It just seems like extra steps or having Monsters in reserve to then trade off with Magician's Souls'. I also thought that they'd make Yugi's Grandpa's deck akin to the Ancient Temple from the anime but Exodia Towers Turbo works as well.
@@bismarckimperia8781 Oh right. That's a good inclusion. Reminds me of the Gate Guardian stuff where the Paradox brothers played the three pieces in coffins on their field before making Gate Guardian.
Also worse, if u not playing exodia or millennium smthng all your turn is just to summon 1 medicore boss monster, but.... If you summon during your opponent turn tho, the new exodia could be good since is a giant beat stick, with spell/trap negate.
Wait, can you cheat out the exodia fusion by using magical hats to summon for example 2 forbidden lances from your deck? They're treated as monsters that way
man, you can tell they are too afraid to make a deck that has true exodia support. Barely any searches that locates Exodia pieces and is dedicated to a basic win condition with boss monsters that has questionable usage.
I kind of hate any time DM or BE gets support. Basically these decks are usually bad and boring, and the only time any of these cards are mildly playable is off the backs of floodgates. (Examples; BE winning worlds because they gave it a floodgate boss and hit every deck that could play under that floodgate, and Pretty much every DM deck being bad Master Duel version of Eldlich pretending it's based because it's big idiot card was in a cartoon) Like traditional meta decks floodgate people too, but usually I don't have to deal with people pretending it's cool because their deck is historically bad, like people don pretend SHS is cool just because it isn't good historically.
This new DM card isnt meant for the DM deck, its meant for the Gold Sarc of Light deck that was in legacy of destruction. Plus this new dm isnt really useful for DM as its just a lvl 7 on board and you get the extra effevt you have to pop it which is something you cant so consistently in DM lol

it really doesnt work with it as it requires you to have at least of the pieces in hand to summon, plus there isnt a way to put the limbs in the gy other than with the incarnate so it would pretty much just be a 0/0 monster making it useless
@arkanamaster4961 Obliterate dumps the pieces too, and Phantom Exodia sets it directly from deck, so there could be a way to make it work. You could also run Future Fusion to dump all 5, but then of course it has a very high bricking chance.
One of those monsters is a free level 8 material for any deck, that's so broken, there so many OP rank 8 monsters in the game.
Also the field spell that places your monster in the spell & trap zone doesn't specify the new cards which means Union Carrier is back.
Far from broken. And you have to build around this card to make half of what union carrier was, which is not really a bad thing
konami never disappoints in messing up card supports of anime card 🤣🤣🤣
Use your free 8 to summon your other 8 for free XyZ a stronger 8
YOU CAN SUMMON DARK MAGICIAN FOR GAME... again
I hope we get the retrain of 5 pieces
We aren’t
What set this in?

Its a reference on how egyptians play the monsters in Stone Slabs which the field spell confirms.
@@bismarckimperia8781 Oh right. That's a good inclusion. Reminds me of the Gate Guardian stuff where the Paradox brothers played the three pieces in coffins on their field before making Gate Guardian.
It's permanent atk gain tho, also the protection kinda suck since just destroy... Like other kinda removal exist so definitely not a tower.
They're treated as monsters that way
but they're not forbidden ones
@@bernardosales1044 oh fuck I didn't read the "one" part of the text
Never mind then
the spell literally summons the fuson lol
Deck is bad solely because you have to run 5 garnets in the deck so it will have horrid consistency issues.
Sengenjin players rise up
The comments were before they corrected cards, at first they were really trash
man, you can tell they are too afraid to make a deck that has true exodia support. Barely any searches that locates Exodia pieces and is dedicated to a basic win condition with boss monsters that has questionable usage.
well the deck is focusing on the shadow of exodia not exodia himself
I kind of hate any time DM or BE gets support.
Basically these decks are usually bad and boring, and the only time any of these cards are mildly playable is off the backs of floodgates.
(Examples; BE winning worlds because they gave it a floodgate boss and hit every deck that could play under that floodgate, and Pretty much every DM deck being bad Master Duel version of Eldlich pretending it's based because it's big idiot card was in a cartoon)
Like traditional meta decks floodgate people too, but usually I don't have to deal with people pretending it's cool because their deck is historically bad, like people don pretend SHS is cool just because it isn't good historically.
