For Monster Girl, I think that her powers tends to involuntarily trigger based on her emotions at times (as well as her being able to manually transform). She kind of hinted that the Rexsplode beatdown was due to him calling her a little girl, making her pissed off and not thinking clearly.
She's obviously Invicible''s version of the hulk, where Banner's transformation too is dependent on his emotions (I know it's triggered by increase of heart rate but emotions effect heart rate).
All will be revealed, especially with Robot and Omni-Man, also, if you plan to read the comic, do if you plan on getting spoiled, because the series has been done for several years now, and the first season is about 1/4 of the first volume of three, with some later stuff thrown in.
On the show, she's still cute and nice. She's also a teenager who wants a relationship where the other person is at least honest about why he's ghosting her, which is understandable. I'm really tired of this expectation that she should just be a happy accessory to a superhero and never have any gripes.
@Mickey Mouse imagine going througt that much mental gymnastics to justify a narcissistic abusive maniac... if she was a man you would call him manipulative . And to keep it real, considering how incompetent Mark is at fighting, it really is better that he keeps Invincible separate from his personal life.
Mark really sucks at lying. Instead of telling Amber that he’d forgotten he was supposed to help a friend of his dad, he should’ve said that something just came up, but he’d deal with it as quickly as possible.
Mount Rushmore incorporates portrait sculptures of four distinguished U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.
Lincoln was racist as well. It took a while for him to come out against slavery, and was very much a white supremacist, he just considered 'lesser people' of deserving more rights.
@Trashthlete Theodore Roosevelt enlisted blacks into his Rough Riders during the Spanish American war, as well as being the first US president to invite a black man, Booker T. Washington, into the White House to be his advisor, knowing full well the public outrage this would cause. He just didn't care. Yeah ... some racist ...
So for many Americans Mt Rushmore is a landmark honoring 4 presidents of great renown: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. As the super villain pointed out though the site isn’t as beloved as America would think in everyone’s eyes. The land the monument is on, the Black Hills, was home to various Indigenous American (“Indian”) tribes for countless generations. When Europeans started moving into the area, one tribe known as the Lakota signed a treaty that protected the land from further intrusions. As with pretty much every treaty made with the tribes, the treaty was eventually broken and the land was confiscated, given to settlers and the monument was subsequently built there despite continued protests. Besides the context the land was acquired by, the Presidents they chose aren’t 100% paragons. Washington and Jefferson owned slaves (Jefferson in particular fathered several children with a slave in a relationship that can’t be described as completely consensual) and Roosevelt had questionable views on a variety of non-European races. Even Lincoln himself isn’t 100% pure because while he did free the slaves even he had limits to how far Black Americans could/should get in American society (time would have told if he would have been willing to be more progressive). On top of that all 4 Presidents contributed in some way to mistreatment of Native tribes. So Mt Rushmore is a pretty looking monument and has plenty of history to it but there is controversy to that history that’s important to keep in mind.
I see some other people have talked about Mt Rushmore here. The one thing I’ll add is it was part of land that was sacred to the Native Americans. So sticking a bunch of old white dudes on the side of it was not cool and deeply offensive to the tribes of that area. There’s a great historical fiction novel called “Black Hills” by Dan Simmons about this. Well worth a read.
@@Regu269 It's sacred if it's sacred to someone or some people. There's also a Crazy Horse monument carved in a rock in the same general area that I believe is still being finished after many years.
