    Brilliant , it clicked as soon as i saw the window motor, i was wondering how you would create the up and down movement, i was thinking a geared system but so simple a window motor , pity the travel of the motor is not longer so to use more of the drum, also you could put a nut in the other end of the drums so when it starts to show signs of wear you simply turn the drum over. Great little system costing no more than say 75 dollars in bits including wood, motors and psu, a old car battery would do for that as well. A very nice project, thanks for showing the way, I already have a 775 motor on order for another project but might make this first. All the best from barcelona spain.

    • @davids7209
      @davids7209 3 года назад

      That's a great point!!!! about the nut on the other end of the spindle. When I make mine I'll be sure to add that feature. I was wondering if the offset wheel on the window motor were bigger would that give the spindle greater up and down travel?

    • @sitgesvillaapartmentneilsc7924
      @sitgesvillaapartmentneilsc7924 3 года назад +1

      @@davids7209 might do, would have to have aplay to see, the motor wont go any further in its travel but if you gear it up it might work, have to look when i do mine in the spring. they are great sanders though...

      @davids7209 3 года назад
