Make A Oscillating Spindle Sander | Woodworking project
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 янв 2023
- Oscillating spindle sander is a sander mounted on a spindle that both rotates and oscillates up and down along the axis of the spindle. This type of oscillating sander is good for sanding curves and contours that would be difficult with hand or orbital sanding.

great work
Excellent build - Well done!!!
*Very good idea* 👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice work
I understand the desire to do it yourself but I think this is one of those deals where it cost more to build it than buy it.
Excellent. Thanks for sharing
Just brilliant!
I like wacthing this video
muy buen trabajo, gracias por compartirlo!
Saludos desde Argentina! ✨
Nice job as usual. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎

Very impressive
,a cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you……
I wonder if a straight grinder could be adapted for metal working... Thanks for the idea.
Nice job, did you design it so the sanding tube could be flipped to use the whole abrasive?
Neat work! I’m a bit concerned about dust and heat in the power supply, though.
an external dual PSU would be safer I feel along with the controllers being boxed in and sealed.
Matias Lucena 15 de Janeiro de 2023 ativando o sino 715 aqui do Brasil, parabéns por mais um trabalho digno de que quem sabe constroi com perfeição, DEUS abençoe toda família .
Great work😊👍
Did you make any changes after getting lots of dust to the power station and controller? You should have mounted them outside or in a separate ventilated room in side the box. Nice project.
Jeebus! The motor you've linked to costs ₹2,999, which equates to around £30, yet to buy the same motor here in the UK, we're looking at anything between £75 and £150! 😲
Excellent video, though, and a handy addition to a workshop, but, as others have said, you really should have some sort of dust collection system. Maybe that could be a project for a future video? 👍
Not true
Go to any gocart repair shop or wheel chair, you get dc motor 250W for $30
Excellent job I had made one with washer motor is more powerful but your skills really is awesome congratulations 👍
What washer motor ?
@@UnstoppableAngler check this video and you can see how I do it with washer motor

Oke boooooossss👍👍👍👍👍👍
That is an excellent build my friend. What are the 2 boards called u used for the electrics at the back of the switches in the doors with the oscilating fixings as well?? I have a lot of the parts u used for this but those little boards with the small capacitors in them I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE CALLED??
I'm not a tech savvy as u are man.
I really enjoyd watching this build. wHAT SIZE POWER SUPPLY DID U USE FOR THIS MOTOR?
Mehr infos über die elektronic wäre cool.
Are you using a brushless dc motor? Permanent magnet? What is the voltage rating?
единственная проблема с древесной пылью которая будет попадать внутрь на электронный блок
Will have dust -electric problems, the motion is jerky att the top of stroke.
What power supply is that ?
👏🏼👏🏼
cool and fun but really just find a used one and buy it You can find a decent used one for $100
I don't see a products used list only the motor
what is the name of the dynamo? I want to find it in my country Indonesia
Loquero pomprar señor larajulio
Well, if you have time and already have the materials it is OK, but if not it is cheaper to buy the machine from shop!
Where cause where I leave it's not cheap
175 euros in europe max@@kakaroto0985
Not to beat you up man, great video, but what was the cost of all this and your time? Was it worth it over just buying a unit from the box store?
Tools that make dust must have dust colection system. 😀
For what you paid for that motor and all the electronics that you have inside of this thing you could’ve bought one made by a reputable manufacturer, like rigid for less than what you spent on materials and time
I need this.. are you shell bro ?
Buying electronic components is kit cost more than making. Spending time + woods is not worth to make one only for fun of it
any how it is nice job:
Can we buy this from you?
Please include materials you used
12:35 Wood glue on threaded inserts?
works well and fills the void
The wiper motor is 12VDC and the drive motor is 24VDC yet are both powered from one power supply unit? one of your motor is being powered incorrectly I think?
dual output PSU is possible
Why would anybody in their right mind spend $2999 on a 24v motor to make a spindle sander you can buy for less than $200?
It's 2999 Rupees not Dollars. Which is about 36 dollars...
Too much electronics. Too complicated
I'm sure you didn't pay $2,999 for a motor. Why not go to a big box store and buy an oscillating spindle sander and save your money. Something is wrong with this whole concept.
You might want to double check the currency... it’s clearly Indian baht, not US dollars... I’d guess the price is way below $3000, let alone $60...
The real disappointment is not including links for the DC PWM speed controllers, but given it links to Indian amazon, that would be just as useless.
