Color coding on your HP and TQ graphs is a bit confusing..... Power (HP) in red on side label but blue line and blue font for max, while Torque (FT LB) is in blue on side label yet red line and red max font on graph. This is for the GT350, for the GT500, you got it right.

Yup, he needs to edit that, but great video when dyno graph is shown
An overlay of the two graphs with 4 different colors would be impressive.

Well done, highly informative video. I have a GT 350 and it is well balanced as you noted. Amazing how it builds power once you get past 4K in the rev range.

Both are awesome cars. But I'll always take my GT350 over the 500. Sounds better and has manual. No flappy paddles for me. Fantastic video.

GT350 is way more special car to me as well although the GT500 is neat.

Gt350 not even in the same realm can't even compare the two together. Gt500 with its dual clutch kills any stick shift not even comparable. 😅

@@ralphhall9434 that's not what it's about. The 350 is my choice over the 500 every time. You can disagree all you want to, I'll take the light nimble car every time over the heavy rubber destroyer.

@ralphhall9434 not concerned about how much faster gt500 can shift. Only boy scouts would prefer auto over stick!

Fantastic video! The GT500 engine is sure a beast of an engine, both are great motors but power wise is not really close between these two.

I’ve been a charger and dodge fan my whole life but I’ve always had love for the gt500, and 350. I think I’m really leaning toward these cars these days. They are truly something else.

Amen. When I take my 350r out, I tend to have to wave at all car people. Jeep, JDM, Mopar, LS, European.
If you’re a car guy, you understand the unigue bad assery that ford engineered into these cars.
Every time I take my car out (as often as possible and as early as 45 min ago as I write this), I feel like it’s an adventure… If my wife needs an ingredient from Publix, I grab my boat shoes and Shelby keys and enthusiastically tell her that I will take on the task.

    The 350 is manual transmission!!
I get twin disc , paddle shift is faster.
    I wanna shift my car.
Exactly why I choose the 350.
I daily my car to work. I enjoy every single drive.
    I get the500 is faster.
I enjoy the experience of driving!!
Gt 350 for the win , for me!

Thanks for the detailed comparison. There is a reason why the GT500 engine is named the predator :) With this engine and the impressive chassis dynamics the GT500 is at the top of the food chain.

10 speed isn't needed on fast cars with actual power. It don't hold up as well at that power level.

Nice comparison. I have both cars and consider both of these closed air intake systems. The hood on the 350 seals the intake when closed. I put a JLT intake on the 500 and gained an additional 25hp (untuned).

    • @EnthusiastsGarage
      @EnthusiastsGarage  Год назад

The weight difference between the cars is 360 pounds. I’m not sure exactly what each engine weighs fully dressed. The supercharger assembly is 90 pounds alone and with all the plastic parts switched to aluminum on the 500 I would say around 120 lbs.

Carbon fiber wheels, slightly wider tires 305/315 instead of 295/305. R spoiler is different. The suspension is tuned differently for the lighter wheels. And I believe the R has no back seats
