Love your energy and your videos! Liked and subscribed.
Thanks for joining us!! 🥰
i recently made a bog standard old fashioned with some leftover jd honey, minus the simple syrup and it turned out great! just the three dashes angostura, jd honey, orange peel and ice. it was already a bit sweet for my taste but it was very drinkable
I love it all your drinks
Cheers for watching Frank. 👍👍
Thank you so much for this great video, my hubby loves his JD and honey, I've just started to do beginners cocktails for friends and family, its great to know I can do my hubby a JD honey cocktail thanks once again Steve for this amazing video. 🤪
You’re welcome Poppie. Glad it went down well 👏👏
@@StevetheBarmanUK thank you, once again, my hubby is spoilt for choice with your great JD honey cocktails, it's nice to know he want be left out, 🙂, we have subscribed to your a amazing channel
These are 5 fabulous cocktails!! Love them!! I agree big time about the mint - muddling, for me at least, brings out a bitter flavour, which isn't so appealing. I haven't tried Licor 43. I will source it out and try it! This riff on the Old Fashioned looks delish! These all look awesome and I have to say the Blackberry Puree and Cardamom Bitters grabbed me in a huge way!! What a terrific flavour combination. The Smokey Oak Bitters also sound lovely. I am having fun exploring all the different types of bitters. So many to try! Thanks Steve!! Cheers!!
These bitters actually come from Canada so should be able to get them easily I think. But there are loads out there. Another brand I love is Bittermens. They all just add subtle twists to great cocktails. Like I’m not a huge Smoky fan, but those Smoky bitters allow you to control the level of smokiness as opposed to using a Smoky Whiskey! As for the L43. You NEED this in your life 😘
@@StevetheBarmanUK I am on to the 43 and the Smoky bitters!!
Very excited to mix thos drinks! A name for the old fashioned could be "Honey Murcia" Murcia is the city in spain where licor 43 is made
Very Dell done vídeo, congratulations from Brazil
Thank you Joao! 👍👍
The honey old fashioned could be called “smoke the hive” because Of the bitters 😜🥃
Love that Amy, thats a great name! Thank you 😍
Great video liked and subscribed
Cheers!
Welcome Mr Wolf. Thank you.
Ah nice fact from germeny.
Here in germany we like to put a shot of this Honey Jack in the hotchocolatemilk or in the warm coffee in the evening, in the cold winter days. TRY IT 😊
Yeah Love that. Honey and Chocolate is so good. I actually did a Hot Chocolate video for my other channel and play with Honey Tequila Liqueur. That was lovely.
@@StevetheBarmanUK hey, some new honey recepts ? 😁😁

Enjoyed the fact the bin men showed up half way through the video. Half cut making cocktails early enough to be interrupted by the bin men. 👏👏😂. Just ordered all the ingredients for The Old Fashioned!
In know. How inconsiderate! 😂 To be fair I never film before midday, so they weren’t that early! Cheers for watching!
I've stolen your Honey Old Fashioned recipe for a 'JD in June' promotion I'm running and called it 'Pooh Bear' after Winnie the Pooh!
Lovely cocktail, sure it'll go down a storm!
Nice work Bryn. Hope it makes you ££££ 👍
the only whiskey i drink is Tullamoor for as like you i dont like any other BUT these recipes look worth investing in lol
I think Irish is a strong replacement to Bourbon. Scotch not so much though. Not tried Tullamore. Teeling is the Irish I kinda settled on. Might have to try Tullamore.
@@StevetheBarmanUK i shall try it, next week as today is gin day lol thank
@@StevetheBarmanUK a good smoky Irish is Connemara if you want to try something different
I saw some great cocktails there and subscribed. I never thought of making an old fashioned with the J.D. Honey with a vanilla element. You sure have a great wall of ingredients there. Are you sponsored or get any help from brands?
Ha, thank you! Glad you enjoyed. Nope, I’m not sponsored, I don’t want to go down that route. Everything you see, is everything I’d 100% recommend. Stuff that I’d buy and lines that I’d use if I ever went back to running a Bar again.
However, I won’t lie, not everything there is paid for. Throughout my whole 25+ year career, the one thing I’ve always done is get to know my Reps, Distributors, BDMs, Ambassadors, Brand Owners etc etc. So I have a lot of contacts and a lot of friends, who sometimes, as a thank you, sling me the odd bottle or 5! It was like that 15 years ago, and the same now. I help them, they help me.
PS...what’s on show. That’s about 1/6th of the contents of my Studio! 😉🤣
Just for a bottle of JD honey and was wondering what to do with it ! 🤣 thank u
Have fun!! Let me know your drinks 👍
Steve the Barman so I used too much simple syrup it seems - but then diluted with more ice -
Perfect !
Send it to me, I'll experiment and report back to you
Thinking about buying a bottle on my next trip out
Deffo worth it. I love it.
I'm not a fan of jack, but the fire, apple and honey variants are pretty enjoyable
What’s your go-to whiskey/bourbon then?
@@StevetheBarmanUK haven't found a favorite one yet, but I find myself going back often to standard ones like claymore margot and famous grouse for example. And I steer clear from red label, and JB unless I'm making cocktails. Otherwise I like my whisky pure, no ice and just for sipping at the end of a long day
Ah. So you’re talking about Whisky. Scotch. Not Whiskey as in American and Bourbon. See for me, I can’t handle Whisky without the E. I don’t like my Scotches, Japanese, Canadian. I don’t like the whole Smoke, Peat vibes. Whiskey with the E is much more my Jam. American and Irish. Much smoother, less peaty, easy drinking, a touch of subtle spice especially on Rye. My palate just really doesn’t suit Whisky at all.
@@StevetheBarmanUK I can enjoy a good Irish aswell. My pallet ranges from strong and firm to smooth and subtle. Never tried rye or a decent bourbon other than Jim bean before. Been thinking of trying more bourbon. I've only been a 2 to 3 years into whisky and the likes. Just looking to find my go to drink. So far the old fashioned is cocktail wise, the best one I've ever tried.
