Excellent job on your videos. I quite enjoy both the content and humor. I will be in Pattaya in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to checking out some of the spots you have shared.
Hiya STL, always informative. Great tour around. Blast from the past seeing the old phones. See you next time. Thank you for sharing. Have a great evening.
Very wistful watching these now. Just home after our long awaited holiday to Samui and the difference in crowds and places reopening after 2 weeks was great to see. They’re still rebounding but great to see smiling locals. Best of luck in Sumatra STL
I love sportsman pub brecky. I often stay at intimate hotel nearby, nice rooftop pool. Will check out lek hotel. I find that the cheaper the hotel, the harder the mattress.
I’ve stayed at the Lek before, but we had a monsoon and couldn’t use the pool😆 we usually stay across soi 13 at the Dynasty…..looks like you guys are eating well….great pattaya video, enjoyed!
Nice you covered the places i am interested in .The Lek used do a buffet breakfast for B100 .Must be more now as that was 14 years ago .Mikes used to have a roof top pool anyone could use .Maybe gone now as you did not mention it .Hoping to get back there next Jan after 4 years .
Doh! Completely forgot about the hallowed pool on top of Mike's, sorry bout that Anthony (and others). Had a look at a hotel site and there's a review from Mike Hotel dated July 2022 so can confirm the hotel is open at least, but not certain about the other 'public' pool. Anyone?
As I wrote, there is so much to see and do in and around Pattaya. Some people claim it is the dirtiest place in the world, but I think it looks rather clean.
Hello from Germany , would like to know about the roof pool in Mike's . And maybee Guesthouses in Buakhow area with balcony and guest and smoker friendly up to 10 to 12 k All inc . Thanks .
Sorry to hear that Cassy. Not a big Sizzler fan but the salad bar always a decent and good value option. Had a look at the Aus closure and found this statement: "In its statement to shareholders, Collins Foods said the performance of the remaining Sizzler restaurants had been under "constant review" since 2015 from which the firm decided the one-time family favourite was no longer "core to the Company's strategic growth". RIP Aus Sizzler... STL
Most equipment is imported thus higher costs like tax, shipping heavy items, plus less volume of gym customers vs the West. There was a western chain flogging cheap memberships but they did a rug pull and runner.
Hi again, please do me a favour, is it possible for you to find out what is the brand of the mattress? It’s long time I’m looking for mattress like the one you said and I think you’re my saviour. I’ll be very grateful for you.
Always a delight to watch STL...... BUT not eating all your beans is just not on!!! My Mum used to say " You wont grow up to be a big strong boy"... lol..... :-))) ps: I am now 5`10 and over 200 pounds.... lol
Many are asking, wish i had gone up to the 10th floor! Just had a look at a hotel site and there's a review from Mike Hotel dated July 2022 so can confirm the hotel is open at least, but not certain about the other 'public' pool. Anyone?
A one year + stay would require a retirement visa or an education visa of some sort. The longest tourist visa (METV?) gives 6 months and can be extended 90 days I believe. Best google for a visa agent in Pattaya to ask. Also ask expats on local forums, FB groups etc for best agents. STL
Here in Ireland wine carry's heavy taxes also .Thats why i brew my own .Easy to brew in the Irish climate but hard to do in Thailands 30c .Anyway have never seen a home brewing kit for sale in Thailand .I know you Aussie have Coopers kits .Was in Qld 2017
Only mad dogs and Englishmen go it in the midday sun. What's the meaning of the phrase 'Mad dogs and Englishmen'? The expression 'mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun' refers to the perceived naivety of the English in their disregard for the power of the sun in hot climates.
The Base has worst rooms of any condo absolutely horrible cheap spring beds the air-con rarely worked properly and the old tv was a joke piece of crap with poor reception i end up leaving and getting a nice hotel room that was serviced every day for less price, the view from the pool is only it has.

Thx for taking a moment from Buddy walking plus running your own channel and super-mod duties. Have a nice one there too :) STL
So close to 30k!
I must say your vlog really captured the beachside vibe, better than any other vlogger we have watched.
Nice lil tour of Pattaya! She's definitely coming back to life which is great for the locals.
Best on a weekend but for July not bad and yes, great to see more biz opening and locals smiling. STL

Thanks for the update R B. Get back soon. And yes, in the meantime I'll have some Sumatra vids upcoming to hopefully entertain some. Cheers, STL
Brings back so many memories! Thanks for taking us along STL!
I have to agree with you, about the Travelodge beds. SO COMFORTABLE! Plus I like it's location. Breakfast at the Hideaway is top notch.
One of the more enjoyable places I went to for breakfast and supper. Great video very entertaining
I stay at Sandy Spring right next door to the Sportsman. Balcony view of the bay, great staff. And have breakfast at the Sportsman every day..
I love sportsman pub brecky. I often stay at intimate hotel nearby, nice rooftop pool. Will check out lek hotel. I find that the cheaper the hotel, the harder the mattress.
Thank you so much Brother , really informative... 👌👌👌
Really enjoying your trip to Pattaya, looking forward to the next installment 👍🏻🏖️
Thanks Heather. 1 more Patts vid to come while I'm away filming new stuff in Sumatra Indonesia...
@@SideTripLife oh look forward to that, never been to Sumatra 🇮🇩
Great as always. Thanks again.

The sportsman is def one of the best places for Sunday lunch, not cheap but top quality.

Miss it tooo much ! LOL Thanks , enjoy ...
In New Zealand, Jacobs Creek starts at $5 USD (6 Gbp), up to double that.
So around 120 Baht.... Good thing I don't live in NZ or Aus, price of wine too tempting... STL
@@SideTripLife Around 220 THB - unlike Australians, we don't drink beer for breakfast... 🙂
I miss Pattaya city 😉🤙❤️
This place has Water park and Nong Nut park
Love the videos. Thank you. Thanks a travel lodge loud with construction or anything like roosters etc early am? Thanks
Thanks Trev. Quiet in room despite road works ongoing. STL
Jacob's Creek Chardy sells for about $8-$10 in Oz.

Hello from Germany , would like to know about the roof pool in Mike's . And maybee Guesthouses in Buakhow area with balcony and guest and smoker friendly up to 10 to 12 k All inc . Thanks .
The roof pool, better known as The Ganges, ain't no more
Funny seeing Sizzler as all the branches in Australia closed down over the pandemic

@@SideTripLife Couldn’t stand the place myself, but our kids used to love it, especially the dessert stand LOL
Nice one STL……….regards Robbie
Thanks Robbie
was the bed queen size, it looked quite comfortable honestly
One of those between King & Queen size, deffo comfy. STL
Gyms in USA are about $10 a month now. Interesting that's like the one thing more expensive there
Most equipment is imported thus higher costs like tax, shipping heavy items, plus less volume of gym customers vs the West. There was a western chain flogging cheap memberships but they did a rug pull and runner.
@@SideTripLife probably also there is just so many gyms here
U shoulda bought the beer with lid on and taken then back to condo

Love it. Just don't bring to loom... STL
Can you please give me the name of the hotel with 650bath per night ? Thank you in advance -
Lek Hotel. Deffo bit long in the tooth but seemed good value for location with pool. STL
Hello, I'm wanting to travel to Thailand asap. How can I stay 12 months or longer? Which visa would be best ? I'm US citizen. Thanks

Is this a sponsored advert for the SPORTSMAN?….sucks
