Hello, I stayed at the sunny beach resort jomtien last time just before covid , I found the rooms great and spacious for the price , I've stayed in a few hotels in pattaya and found sunny beach the best , for price and location and only 2 minute walk to the beach and manny restaurants and convenience stores ,also on the baht bus route , I would recommend this place to everyone , david
1150 baht a day is a hefty monthly change for the Sea Breeze when compared to similar properties in Jomtien and even Pattaya, particularly given there are no cooking facilities and the availability of free WiFi was not mentioned. Lovely poolside but think its real attraction is the proximity of the beach, this said, nearly every place in Jomtien can boast the same. One part of the video I specifically liked was the flagging of weekly and monthly discounts set against the daily rate - where available - and the heads up to look on Agoda if wanting to book in advance. Two useful additions when comparing this youtuber to others doing property reviews.
I stayed for 2 weeks in the first one (Sunny beach) in September 2022. Sidney (owner) is a super cool and friendly guy, room was top clean and will come again for sure !
I’m leasing a condo in pratumnak currently… but thinking about moving to a condo in jomtien in a few months… would be great if you could show some sea view condos with large balconies….watch all your videoes…. Great job Daz
Yes good idea… within walking distance to beach and baht bus. Most have pool if not like swimming in sea… I’m going to ride along the beach today and take down names of ones I see and like… not ready to move for a few months….will go in and look in around 2 months…looking for a 6 month…. Or 1 year if good deal on nice condo…
Is incredible that you’re a viewing this sunny beach residence hotel, just a couple of days ago I’m looking at staying in this area for the first time in 16 years of going to Pattaya and this is one of the hotels I was looking at on Agoda !
Camera question - I've been a subscriber for a while and am curious about your on-body camera setup. Could you share what you use and how it's set up? It looks like it's attached to your pack strap, but not sure. (I'm looking to do similar with an Insta 360 Go 2) Thank you
Daz, even if I'm not really interested in the accommodation videos, I really like hearing your voice and enjoying these videos. I always book my accommodation in Pattaya early via Airbnb and have had very good experiences with it so far.
Well you can't complain at the price of the 1st hotel. On baht bus route what more can you want. You can even hang your washing our on the electric cable, which is pretty normal. 😀
I looked up Sunny Beach for a 3 week stay in May, but there were no rooms available at agoda. Is it just the long stay, or is May so high demand? Also, the website for the sunny beach does not seem to work... Thanks for sharing these insights, much appreciated.
Great content Daz! I'm actually here on Buakhao for 3 weeks. Spoke to Amon Tuesday she speaks highly of you. Hope to cross paths with you for a beverage while here. Keep the great info coming!!
I am staying my first 2 weeks at Areca. Then want to try one of these two. Mario talked me into checking it out. He didn’t care too much for Philippines. Told me about your channel. Interesting guy!
Gday Darren Me and a mate are coming over in November for a month and thinking of staying in Jomtien close to the beach in 2 separate condos. Where would we be able to get some info on booking something in advance. Our budget would be around 30,000 baht ( $1300 au )ea. Cheers love the videos.
1st place was way better I think, decent pool area, spacious rooms with a decent balcony to have your morning coffee, I thought 2nd place was overpriced tbh , sure there are more facilities but nothing to offer that isn't within easy reach of the 1st place , thanks for sharing Daz, regards from England 🍺🍺👍
Good reviews Daz. Wouldn't mind some reviews on condos as I'm thinking of retiring over to jomtiem, or near there . Around £250/£300 per month. Thank you.
I’ve booked the Arbour hotel on the back of your review a while back, i love the channel and would like to buy you a beer when I’m in town as your channel has kept me going in the three years I’ve not been able to get there.
The more videos I watch about Pattaya the more inclined I am to stay in Jomtien, should I ever visit, because of the lovely beach and the feeling of spaciousness. Obviously, the baht bus route along Beach Road is a big advantage should I wish seek out the entertainment in Pattaya itself. Do the baht buses run round the clock or is there a specific start and finish time?
Daz does it rain everyday in Pattaya Thailand in September? I’m coming by myself for 31 days from Sep 1st to October 2nd. I hope it doesn’t ruin my trip
Just my opition if you are coming for a month or over renting a condo is the best opition. In the low season you could get a very nice condo for 8000 thb or less with pool and not far from the beach
Thanks Daz, could you tell me roughly how long the baht bus ride would take, from Sunny Beach hotel over to Central Festival shopping centre (approx time)?
Thanks, Daz that 1st hotel was great and I like how they were only too happy to offer discounts for longer stays. I could not really see why the second one was so high a price. but you are right it will go down eventually.
The hotel prices all over town are a bargain. The prices seem to be about the same as before the pandemic..... or less.. I am coming soon, but staying in central Pattaya. It is just a shame the flights have become so expensive. My best deal was about 40% more than Jan 2020 which bumps up the total price of a holiday. From the UK it now seems that a typical direct return flight is around £1000 even off-season, but once you get over that, the rest is good value.
Thanks for all the information. I will be there first time in a couple months. I've heard something about jomtein beach being nicer than pattaya beach. But I also heard it has a large gay community. Is jomtein known for that? No problem with anybody but I don't want to grab a room there when I'd fit in better off pattaya Beach road...
@@everythingPattaya hello again thank you for your channel it really helps..I would like to ask you about some places you could recommend for my trip in may/June but I don't want to clog up your business..is it ok to ask some questions here or do you have another spot for that..I M new to this
The big hotels on Jomtien Beach Road are for Chinese tour groups. So avoid Sea Breeze and similar hotels, now that they are allowed to travel again. Not because they are Chinese, but because of the sheer numbers of people at reception, at breakfast, waiting for coaches etc.
I lived in Pattaya for a few years and the bus tour groups became overwhelming traveling on the narrow sois, exhaust blowing onto the Pattaya Beach promenade and the Chinese tour groups attack the buffets like locusts. It was nice last year not to have these large groups around.
Good to see weekly & monthly rates! BTW: could you supplement your retirement videos with one about pensioner medical services & costs? Eg. What's preventative medical care & costs there like, or a cancer diagnosis or hip replacement? Is there an age limit? And a will-writing service - so it's not just lawyers that benefit when the time comes..?
Really appreciate the hotel and condo reviews for Jomtien. However, when I checked the customer reviews for the Seabreeze on Google maps, they were uniformly unfavorable. Just thought I'd give a heads up on that. Please keep the Jomtien reviews coming!
Yes, with all normal hotels, not with 4* or 5* ones, many of those will charge a fee for the person, between 500 and 1000 baht each time. Better check when you arrive at reception.
Thanks Daz. Next time try the Agate hotel. It's a four star hotel, great value for money (1300 TB) and nicer rooms. I always stay there when I go to pattaya.
Pre pandemic price was about 3,000 baht. Great if you want to be in the heart of the Pattaya/Jomtien gay scene. Staying at Zing next door from 15 January. On the Agate, the bellboy was always in my room fixing something, yet the TV never worked.
@@argonaut816 It is indeed on the edge of where the gay scene starts but that doesn't bother you at all if you are not gay. It's a very nice, four stars hotel close to the beach, scooter rental and the new bullet bar and it has a great staff. Never saw a bell boy there.
I will be a 1st timer and I been waiting for someone to recommend nice hotels within walking distance or easy nightlife access. Is the Agate hotel close to the nightlife? Thank you!
