I remember very vividly many playoff games where the Raptors (DeMar and Lowry in particular) looked like they shat themselves before taking the court vs. LeBron. Of course he was (and still is) feared.
When you bring your game and do what you do, there is no need to fear anyone. If you are outplayed, a competitor looks forward to getting better so he or she can meet again.
It's just a difference in personality. LeBron wants to be liked by everybody. So he's going to go out there and try to still be nice while beating you. So people aren't necessarily going to "fear" him before actually going out there to face him. On the other hand, guys like Jordan and Kobe will take things personal, find things to be mad about, try to beat you down, and humiliate you while talking endless trash. Obviously, they are more than capable of backing up their trash talk as well. So of course, that lingers on mind a lot longer before and after.
LeBron is fake. He'll be all nice to your face but do stuff behind your back, talk to management about you, post some stupid tweet and then act like he didn't know why or how you got traded or bounced out of the league.
And where has Chalmers been playing for the last five years...Zimbabwe?! Without that man that no one fears, Chalmers would have had even fewer years in NBA.

Exactly. Plus bird and magic did fear MJ. God in a basketbsll uniform. Shannan should ask them. I saw the interviews with my own damn eyes. All of Jordan nick names were given by others. King James was given by himself.

Just to correct Shannon, Lebron did not break up the 2000's Pistons. The big 3 Celtics did because those same Pistons who lost to Lebron in the 07 ECF, were back in the conference finals the next year and Lebron wasn't. 08 was the last year the Pistons won a playoff series.
Nobody wasn't afraid of Michael Jordan. The bad boy pistons put a game plan together and send his a** packing. Then he went and B**** to Adam Silva about doing playing basketball. But nobody brings that up
All those players Shannon mentioned were ACTUALLY scared of Jordan 🤣🤣. Pistons tell you don't let him get in the air because he's unstoppable. They brutalize him to scare him, but man kept coming back. With that SAID, they were definitely scared of LeBron.
Full quote for context. He is saying that nobody is scared of him thinking of the matchup but they are scared of him at the game. “Nobody’s like, ‘Damn, I gotta go play against Bron tonight.’ Nobody said that. I don’t know why, because I seen people be scared when they actually line up to him, but they’re not scared thinking about that matchup.”
This is exactly what Shannon is refuting. He clearly talks about how teams would build their roster (which means thinking about the match up) simply to try and get past Bron.
Just because they weren't afraid doesn't mean they didn't have respect for the man. People have said they were afraid of pissing off MJ. Not a dig on Lebron at all.
Imagine being scared of pissing a man off because he may cook you in a game. Not him putting his hands on you, not him killing you, but being scared because he may put 60 on you. In the words of Kobe “Soft…(smh)…..soft”

I guess 4 people packing the paint when LeBron has the ball in his hands isn’t fear. People don’t fear Steph, they fear the illegal screens. He did not try to discredit MJ. Lol. He's saying that everyone is not scared of MJ like Chalmers is trying to make it seem. If there was any fear of Jordan, LeBron has instilled that same kind of fear. You can't give the credit to one and take it away from the other.
Honestly as a fan when Kobe or Jordan played against your team you almost knew they were gonna put a dagger in ya heart. I never had those moments from Lebrons teams. You knew if the games were close Kobe and Jordan were gonna will their team to victory. Lebron on the other hand got most of points during the course of the game but you weren’t on edge in the 4th quarter of a close game because Lebron wasn’t clutch.
I generally am amazed people still run with this narrative. Take Utah in 98 and Cleveland in 89, what crazy 4th did Jordan rally in the playoffs that made you say he did it again? And outside if Portland in 2000 and that one game for Phoenix in 06 what was Kobe. LeBron arguably has more 4th quarter playoff performances then these two combined yet people still convinced themselves that LeBron shrunk annually
@@MrSlashblade Playing against weak smaller teams doesn't make LeBron clutch or memorable. Why would people remember LeBron's clutch performances playing against pathetic Eastern conference teams? Imagine Jordan/Kobe switching teams in their primes. The NBA will probably ban them due to their constant winning.
I just want everybody to remember. Kendrick Perkins said on national television, that he prayed to God above that LeBron had an accident and tore his ACL so the Celtics wouldn't have to play him. LeBron james carried an absolutely horrific 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers team to the nba finals
In the modern NBA era (post 1960) only eight NBA top 75 players have won a championship without another top 75 player as a teammate
Rick Barry (1975)
Hakeem Olajuwon (1994)
Tim Duncan (2005) (2007)
Kobe Bryant (2009) (2010)
Steph Curry (2015) (2022)
LeBron james (2016)
Kawhi Leonard (2019)
Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021)
As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt
Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO
In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were
83-84 bulls 27-55
84-85 bulls. 38-44

2018-19 cavaliers 19-63
2017-18 lakers. 35-47
2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day.
As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank.
Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter
Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck.

When Larry Bird called Jordan "God disguised as Michael Jordan", that's saying something. And this is the same year Bird won an MVP.

Yeah Shannon, we seen players shrink vs LeBron in high pressure situations, but how often have we seen LeBron shrink vs teams with high basketball iq in big situations. You can get LeBron to start pressing and feeling like he has to do more and take his teammates out of a game instead of playing in a system.

@@dparks2856 literally every team that beats LeBron in the finals has a high basketball iq. The spurs, the mavs, and Golden State. And every finals that he won except for the one with the Lakers couldve gone either way.
