Warrior appreciated Lombardi. Warrior wanted the behind the scenes guys recognized by WWE and the fans. I think Lombardi should get the warrior award and inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Of the backstage ppl that deserve to be in the Hall of fame, Steve Lombardi & Jim Johnson r at the top of the list. Steve doesn't get enough credit for helping talent develop their characters.
All the Wrestlers i have talked to have had nothing but great thing to say about Steve Lombardi. He is very respected by his peers. From Kim Chee, MVP and Doink he was always active in the the WWF. One of the best Workers ever.
Steve's a very interesting guy -- and a terrific wrestler. I never paid much attention to him years ago for some reason, but after watching some of his matches on RUclips, it was like "wow," he's a great worker and tough as nails.
They played New York New York when Steve Lombardi came out that night in the garden to face Shawn Michaels I had seen that match in person and also it was posted on Dailymotion it was a great match
I remember seeing a match between Steve Lombardi and Barry Horowitz. I believe it was on the Saturday morning show the WWF used to have. It was the only time I EVER saw a match between 2 enhancement guys. I forget who won but even as a kid I remember thinking it was cool seeing them square off cause they always had to take on the "invincible" guy you knew they weren't going to beat.
I know Steve Lombardi has written an Autobiography audio book of his career. But I hope he might Write a real Autobiography book about his 32 years in WWE. He has tons of Stories to share if he ever does someday. I'm sure someday he will go into the Hall of Fame.
I wonder if Steve remembers there was a kid in his class named John Cassisi. He was in a TV series at the time called Fish it was a spin-off of Barnie Miller. Another guy he went to school with wound up becoming an actor was on The Sopranos. New Utrecht high school spawned a lot of talented people.
29:12 Great interview. I loved the things he said about Warrior. I recognized when the DVD came out that he was the only person saying nice things about Warrior and putting him over. I view him as a class act then and now because of that.
A dying boy (literally on his deathbed) was brought to a WWF event and taken backstage to meet the wrestlers. Every wrestler (Rude, Perfect, Hart, Santana, et cetera) that walked past the boy, stopped and talked to him. Even though he had his face painted like him; when Warrior walked by, he could not be bothered to stop/talk. When he returned from the ring, Warrior looked at the boy and once again passed right by. Upon seeing the devastation caused to the boy and his family, Rick Rude quickly snatched Warrior by his hair and shoved him through the nearest door into a room of unknown purpose. He angrily told him, "If that boy sees you take one step back through that door, I will beat the life out of you." Rick Rude (a bad guy) was really a good guy and Ultimate Warrior (a good guy) was a really bad guy.
The best wrestling match I ever saw was the one he mentioned with Mike Sharpe at the Spectrum. I was there -- 20 minute draw and by a wide margin the best match I ever saw.
In 1979 Andre the Giant wrestled at Steve Lombardi's old high school New Utrecht. It was a Tommy d promotion it was Andre and a very young Ted DiBiase against Jerry and Johnny valiant and Jimmy valiant was there and he wrestled Dominic denucci
At 37:45 he says "His Wife" so I thought and heard he was Gay (Not that that's wrong or anything) and he was one of PAT PATTERSON'S Boy-Toy's. So maybe he's BI-SEXUAL and not GAY!!!
Abe knuckle ball Schwartz was actually a really cool gimmick. Hell,, Lombardi looked like babe ruth.. of course the old Boston Garden was loaded with smart marks. They respected the brawler
Hannibal, I got a free joke for you… “WHAT WOULD HAPPEN if the American Cancer Society gave up trying to cure cancer & just went on a murderous rampage?…. Even though they had the cure the whole time, just to even out the population? “
Another great shoot Hannibal. This guy some serious history 32 years wrestling from Bruno to Ryback. Got to have him back. He has literally seen everything.
Looks like steve is living in some basement apartment... nothing on the walls.. no windows... wtf Steve, what happened?? Did steve play Kimchee, Kamala's handler in wwf?
Regardless of what the deal was with Pat Patterson , Lombardi deserves Hall.of Game. Roddy Piper was a victim of POS Pat Patterson so I'm sure Lombardi had a tough choice if that is what happened.
Brawler randomly came up to me one time a few years ago in Winston-Salem and said something to me about taking a few pics backstage and said Vince would have fired me. I then told him that I could care less, and that I don't work for Vince and went about my business. It’s obvious that he’s a trained puppet on Vince’s shoestrings when he is no longer working for the guy. He later asked me for a ride to Charlotte to catch his flight and I said hell no. No doubt he was entertaining, but sometimes you gotta stop randomly name dropping.
Great interview! Steve Lombardi is a legend and has provided more entertainment than several of the top stars of yesterday and today.
thank you for that interview Hannibal! He was quite the talent and a wise one at that
👍
Warrior appreciated Lombardi. Warrior wanted the behind the scenes guys recognized by WWE and the fans. I think Lombardi should get the warrior award and inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The Captain is back awesome interview Devon Brooklyn is where i'm from Bensonhurst is my Brother In Law's hometown thank you Steve a true New Yorker.
Of the backstage ppl that deserve to be in the Hall of fame, Steve Lombardi & Jim Johnson r at the top of the list. Steve doesn't get enough credit for helping talent develop their characters.
Finally got him for a interview great 👍👍
Holy sh*t it's The Brooklyn Brawler. Time to mark out!! 👍

Good interview thanks.
One of your best shoots ever Hannibal.
EXCELLENT Interview

This a good interview. Hanny still delivering great content👍
Love Steve, he gets a bad rap over rumors.. Great shoot

Who was the actor that ended up on the sopranos?
On his own, chatted up and went to the bar with the promise of meeting wrestlers. 😂
Great interview! 💪💪😎

@@John.Flower.Productions rick rude was one of the toughest wrestlers backstage .
Great interview

I miss the Spectrum
Does Steve Lombardi have a clause in his interviews that nobody can ask him questions about Pat patterson ??
I just read on another's comment that Hannibal answered with "he asked me beforehand not to ask about Pat".
32:05
In 1979 Andre the Giant wrestled at Steve Lombardi's old high school New Utrecht.
It was a Tommy d promotion it was Andre and a very young Ted DiBiase against Jerry and Johnny valiant and Jimmy valiant was there and he wrestled Dominic denucci
Mario Mancini insists on being referred to as a jobber rather than enhancement talent.
Hannibal what a great interview so much information
At 37:45 he says "His Wife" so I thought and heard he was Gay (Not that that's wrong or anything) and he was one of PAT PATTERSON'S Boy-Toy's. So maybe he's BI-SEXUAL and not GAY!!!
Sorry at 47:40
Abe knuckle ball Schwartz was actually a really cool gimmick. Hell,, Lombardi looked like babe ruth.. of course the old Boston Garden was loaded with smart marks. They respected the brawler
When do you start doing shoots from prison?
Never knew he lived in bensonhurst...my nieghborhood
great to see ya Steve Lombardi !!!
Hannibal, I got a free joke for you… “WHAT WOULD HAPPEN if the American Cancer Society gave up trying to cure cancer & just went on a murderous rampage?…. Even though they had the cure the whole time, just to even out the population? “
they wouldn’t need to even go on a murderous rampage. Just having the cure for cancer and not giving it to people would almost be considered murder.
The greatest jobber in wrestling history.
Put him in the hall of fame
Also known as Kim Chee, handler for Kamala, the Ugandan Giant. One of the best jobbers ever.
Red Rooster, undefeated at WrestleMania.
Sooooo gay
I remembered how Brawler beat up Terry Taylor when Bobby Hennan slapped Taylor in front of Monsoon on Prime Time.
It was crazy to see Gorilla take a bump when brawler gave him a stool shot to the back
He slammed him into that metal cabinet.. what was that cabinet doing there in the first place 😂
Wait a minute, Steve Lombardi has been with the WWF a lot longer than 32 years, he was there since 84', that's 38 years!
Actually ‘83
i loved this guy! and wrasling is real effers! sheesh.
still number 1 HANNIBAL....this was great
👍
Another great shoot Hannibal. This guy some serious history 32 years wrestling from Bruno to Ryback. Got to have him back. He has literally seen everything.
Knuckleball Schwartz ⚾⚾
He was going to tell kids what they shouldn't refuse? LOL
This right here is the guy..f flair hogan.hes the legend😊
The best!
I'm guessing he didn't ask if the rumors were true and that the Brooklyn brawler was Pat Patterson's girlfriend on the road
I love the Brooklyn Brawler……
There you see the difference between the 'sucsess' of 'Yes-sayers' & ppl who (can) say "That's not gonna work for me brother!"
He seems to be magnifying the the good to perhaps compensate for any degrading acts undertaken.
According to wiki, The Predator was Horace Hogan from wcw.
He was built a lot like Bruno.
A guy named Lombardi from Bensonhurst? Who would have thunk it?
Butt is a negative word? Not always, lol....
@47:00 floppy disc. SLAP THAT FLOPPY DISC
barry horowits would be other great jobber
I remember he won a battle royal on smackdown and the fans went nuts.
Edit: damn that Captain piece of crap!
Pat Pattersons number one bum boy!!!
That’s what I heard.
Push it and pull it
He hustled but had the talent to back it up.
Looks like steve is living in some basement apartment... nothing on the walls.. no windows... wtf Steve, what happened??
Did steve play Kimchee, Kamala's handler in wwf?
The most well known jobber ever!
Brawler as champion in 97 for a month would have been great lol don't know if it would have been credibility wise though.
I've always loved how Bret offered to drop the championship to Brawler in Montreal instead of Shawn. That woulda been awesome.
Should have asked him why he got fired
what happened at the end? Was that a prank?
Clearly
Regardless of what the deal was with Pat Patterson , Lombardi deserves Hall.of Game. Roddy Piper was a victim of POS Pat Patterson so I'm sure Lombardi had a tough choice if that is what happened.
Brawler randomly came up to me one time a few years ago in Winston-Salem and said something to me about taking a few pics backstage and said Vince would have fired me. Bringback the jobbers back
Bringback them back? Lol
Cool. GOD BLess y'all man
new guy go in take a chair be nice be quiet and respectful of vets
I’m a little annoyed that he keeps putting himself over
Me too. I understand he was important, but he’s patting himself on the back a bit much.
Yay Hannibal not John poz :)
I thought Lombardi was the gay?
Don’t believe rumors 🤷♂️
Great interview
Thanks
Great interview
