Hands down my absolute favorite encounter of this game so far. Not because it’s easy or simple but because of what it represents from a narrative stand point. Sebastian is proving to Theodore that he has absolutely no sway over his mind or his fears and he proves that by completely brutalizing these past threats he faced down and survived at Beacon. Such an epic series of moments

Laura was actually really easy to beat once you had the harpoon bolts maxed out and they caused fire damage. If not they still usually tried to give you a way to use elements in the area to cause her fire damage. But yes she is ridiculously difficult with non flammable means! Also on the hardest difficulty she moved insanely fast and could get you with her leg grab-skull crush instant kill from like 10 feet away...lol...it was borderline cheating!
This was the best part. Killing the sadist with his own chainsaw. That was so awesome. When I first played this game. I was not expecting that. A big smile on my face when that chainsaw was killing the sadist.
Well when the protagonist is more experienced, they tend to be less scared leading to the player to be less scared. I assume that's why horror games become more action packed as they go on (Dead Space and Resident Evil come to mind) I guess the only way to keep the games from becoming more action packed is by introducing new characters, like Ethan in RE7.

You fight the Keeper after the first Laura fighter. YOu also fight 2 Keepers after the last Laura fight. I guess she is more iconic to the evil within though while The Keeper was kind of a pyramid head inspired character.

My favourite thing about the fight with The Keeper is at 4:22 we know the scratchy noise and screen is the way that he always kept reviving. But I like to think of this iteration as Sebastian now becoming to The Keeper what The Keeper was to him in the first game. An unstoppable and unkillable entity bent on destroying the other. You hunted me... Haunted me...
But this time... I'm the monster.
