Funny story about Herbie's music. On vacation to visit a friend, I bought Herbie Hancock's The Head Hunters record. My buddies and I popped it on and listen to both sides. Whole time listening to Mason's basslines wondering how the hell he could play so fast. After taking it home, I played it and noticed it was quite different. Turns out we had listened to the whole album at 45 RPM not even noticing. Goes hard at 45, so now every once in a while, I kick up the speed for old time's sake.
Glad I found out about you through Rob Scallon's video. Ordered a CD. Can't wait to listen to it.
