- The LAH Mini 4S - Tactical Composite Crossbow. Come take a look at this all metal, mini hand held crossbow that is very well made.
I recently discovered these mini crossbows or 'Toothpick Crossbows', and decided I wanted to try one out. I chose the LAH Mini 4S and am very pleased. It is a solid piece of aluminum with metal cables and pulleys and is a functioning crossbow.
Come along as I unbox it, assemble it, and give my first look thoughts about it.

Looks crap why not get a full length bow more power on the bolts
I have a Ten Point Xbow and a Bowtech compound bow for real hunting. So there you have it.
@@sameold77 I have a excalibur recurve bow (recurve because its more reliable and easier to change the strings) and has 305 fps and 200lbs of draw weight.

Excalibur makes good bows, I've shot them. I chose not to get one 10 years ago because they were too wide back then, you know, back in the Vortex days. They have some great offerings nowadays. Thanks for commenting.

Here's a good tech tip for people who use anything that uses those button batteries, DO NOT TOUCH THEM WITH YOUR BARE SKIN. Handle them with a tissue or a clean cloth. The acids and oils in your skin will cause a film to form anywhere you touched the batteries, the entire outside surface is active contact area. When that oxidation happens your item will get cranky, on and off, dim etc, the normal reaction is to throw the batteries out and replace them, often you can get them to work again by careful cleaning with rubbing alcohol, but the best method is to not touch them to start with and they will last a lot longer. Always handle with a tissue or clean cloth, if you touch them clean with rubbing alcohol. This applies to watches, car remotes, any item with button batteries.

Good question, I'm not sure exactly.
Interesting. I received LAH two weeks ago. And they made some changes. The trigger of mine is a bit bit bigger. the hole for the BBs is sized fine. But the biggest difference is that laser dose not need to be screwed down. There is a spring button that hold the laser in place so the laser can removed and installed at will. I did not get batteries and the jar of BBs seem to have less than you have.
No big deal but I had no idea what size batteries to get. Thank for showing them. LR736, got it.

The bow is kind of impressive, it hits pretty hard for its size and is well-made for the most-part. About $56.00 on Ebay.

Mine arrived less put together as this one. Need more instruction for bow assembly. Barrel was easy.
7/9/2020 progress update:
Approximately one week later, finally figured out the rest of the assembly. Had to get physical help to attach that darn bowstring properly. Whew.

I bought one of these off ebay. The one I have has a rail that the laser can just mount and slide on. It also emits a weird metallic, burning smell when fired, which I assume is the metal on the wire contacting the frame. It's a nice toy but it's very difficult to prime (the wire doesn't lock into place most of the time) and the trigger pull is inconsistent
I've heard from others that the one's on ebay are not as nice as the originals like this one...the lasers do not screw on, trigger, etc. I enjoyed this little toy. Thank for watching and commenting.

Well, it looks fun. How well does it shoot?
It's pretty accurate at close range, under 10 feet. I have the first shooting test video coming tonight or tomorrow I hope. I need to do some better shooting tests though, like on some fruit or something. I also need some more darts as I've already lost a couple, I'm looking at what I could make from nails or something.

No maybe about it. The proper nomenclature for a projectile for a X-bow is BOLT. Bow and ARROW. Dart, something you blow or throw.

I do have one and they can really do the biz if you are aiming it st your human target....happy hunting guys..they do the job especially the darts in the soft area and the bearing at the head area ..so there you go by someone who has tried and actually teasted it but trust me make sure you want to do this and not for fun..its not a TOY!!!!
