With zebasi you can actually consider getting construction as your first tech. If you have 3 farms, you can get a giant on turn 5 or 6 nearly every single time, which quickly cascades into a 2nd giant on the same turn or the following turn. The midgame potential with zebasi is also quite ridiculous, being able to get every city up to level 5 or 6 with ease and even using chivalry to burn forests can get an unbelievable amount of giants (sometimes 10+ giants by turn 14 or 15).
Well mints isnt necessarly a nerf from forges Economically, they give is way higher return on investment than forges. 2-6 population once is really handy, but 1-3 star per turn more for the whole game is not bad at all It's more of a drastic change in term of how we are supposed to play the swordsman branch. Plus i think it's better from the lore-perspective. With those mints and those 2pop windmills, the forestry/mining/farming branch are more different from one another. (Pop&military/Economic/Population) Really good that devs try new things ! But yeah for now those 2pop windmills are op in the diplomacy beta (Good vid btw ! )
mints actually provide a deceptively low amount of spt when you think about it. Keep in mind that population can level up your cities, increasing your spt. Usually mints are only able to provide 1 or 2 more spt than their forge counterparts. This may seem good, but that population from forges can make for some early giant spamming, which can destroy the opponent. Generally a forge is used to get a giant, which most people find more valuable than the 2 extra spt you would have. The short term value is simply so overwhelmingly better that forges are much stronger.
There should be more ways to get ur cities up. Now its just farming and lumber but I think something like a fishing market/village next to a port or something would be pretty neat too. And maybe it would be cool if there were more little things like that. Maybe a market, a farm (with animals instead of wheat), a fishing village like i said. Maybe even a fishing boat that makes levels up just like temples and gains 1 star or maybe just hp. Also would be cool if the cities were a little bit further away from each other. Mainly to make place for the extra ways to make population . Edit: also different temples for each tribe. To make it prettier. A white temples just doesn't fit in the yadakk tribe for example
