I always used mind benders against my dad when the update came out. it was the most fun I had playing this game, but now thinking back on it it seems that he let me win cause you really need to be stupid to get an unit converted hahaha
One of my favorite handicaps is fully upgrading each tier of the tech tree before moving on. Getting all the level 1 tech before level two isn't difficult, but not getting any level 3 until all the level 2 is unlocked can give the bots the time they need
Everything costs double challenge, anything you spend stars on you must have double of that in your bank then you can never use the rest of the stars again. Not only will it be more difficult to fight the bots but will also take lot of calculation to not overspend. I recommend writing it down on paper then editing in for the growers experience. If the challenge is not challenging enough, try triple price mania.
Example, starting stars(4) train warrior 2×2-> next turn +4-> (6)but can only use 4 of those stars, want a tech? Wait 2 turns +4 (10)->+4(14) buy tech for 5×2 (9) (but actually just 2), those 7 stars will always be dead.
I appreciate the explanation since I haven't played polytopia in years, have never heard of mindbenders, and you just randomly came up for me on my youtube feed lol
An idea for a chaleng would be Polarise, but you can't freez anything (ennemi or water tile) Or Archipelago/water world, but only normal boat (no upgrade) Or a clock (the new diplomacy unit) only
wdym they are pretty useless. I think that being able to make one of the strongest enemy units yours is pretty op. Then again I dont play it to often so what do I know. Great vid btw
The main issue with mind benders is against a player, they are super easy to kill, and most people see them coming from a mile away. Imo mind benders are tbh underrated, but they definitely aren't good
I like the idea, style of the video, nice background music and your voice is pretty relaxing to listen to, the only thing slightly bothering me is that slight background noise :)
Using only mindbender is a really cool idea for a chaleng considering how unpractical they are However, I do have a bed issues with the video in itself : Lack of precise rules (I think you should have explicitly explained what you were or were not allowed To do; like creating other units, using converted units, using special abilities) Continued after breaking rules (If it had been on a large map with more bots, I wouldn't hold you responsible, but this game is a tiny 4 botes, game. You can get black to the same level of progress in 10 minutes, just restart the run) I know that this points are subjectif, but I hope you can learn from this critic and use it to improve your futur videos Sincerely Retsag99
Water world with elyrion But you can only use navalon on water All the other unit cant go into a boat Dragons have to stay on land or can fly over shallow water if you want
I dont think theyre the worst at all! They can not only defeat any unit, they make them work for you. Free giants, free battle ships, free anything aslong as you can get one close (which really isnt too hard). And if not on the front they can heal 8 units at once
How about you can't capture any cities until its the last turn, when you eliminate every tribe. You can choose if you want to allow capturing villages depending on how hard it is. If for some reason you want to play perfection, how about you can't capture any villages or cities ever, and see how high of a score you can get.
If you want to make this more of a chalange try playing without moving the starting warior from the capital, disband it and mindbender spam from there Great music in the background bdw

I find mind benders the best defence against giants, and a great partner to catapults.
How about you can only use giants
So you want him to play as Luxidor
@@billyhurley3945 maybe I can add a tribe requirement
Possible, which tribe do you want me to use for this? Any other requirements?
@@helpmymonitorisoff8838 do it with aquarionvon drylands 😈

I think mind benders are super underrated, I think they are a pretty solid counter to giants and centipedes

Good idea! Might be confusing to keep track of but I could build temples to waste the extra stars
Nice! I used to excessively play that game, had all the tribes. Very cool to see challenges and content with it on RUclips!
Very nice video! :)
Useless!? How dare you sir, Mindbenders are freakin awesome! 😂

Mind bender are quite good when dealing with defenders into cities : get a unit full hp in an enely city
We once tried this strategy, it works pretty well against giants but not much else.
This is the best unit

This sounds painfull, if you get bombarded with giants I usaly set a mind bender on the city, they ain't gettin close to my base
can't believe his monitor was off the whole time, hes a real pro

I tried this the other day with Cymanti but then felt like using super units after around turn 11.

I thought about that one too! Might do that next
i like it here is a challenge giants only (If not possible then archer only)
Nice one man keep up the good work
Thanks I'll probably make another one on Sunday or so!
Yo, nice videos like your content
thanks!
I use mindbenders with polaris (aigainst bots tho). How viable is that?
In single player absolutely fine, but in multiplayer too slow, would lose to knights or even just riders : )
Try only Knights
Can you win with only one city? Leave the rest on 🔥, limited units/stars... sounds hard.
Yes this is on my list to do after no techs : )
great vid!!
If you want to make this more of a chalange try playing without moving the starting warior from the capital, disband it and mindbender spam from there
Great music in the background bdw
I did that against all bots on highest difficulty ;) deleted my channel though, because I stopped playing the game
Only use ranged units
I did catapults only a long time ago but I can always try it again!
Massive + Dryland + Any Tribe + Only Mind Benders + Crazy
