- Do you want to know how to PAIR, CONNECT and SYNC your NEW PS4 (DUALSHOCK 4) Controller to your PS4? In this video, I will show you 2 easy method on pairing your PS4 controller FAST!
You can pair your PS4 controller 2 different ways. The first way to connect your PS4 controller to your PS4 is through the bluetooth connection on the ps4. Hold down the share button and the playstation button for a few seconds. The light bar will then began to blink light blue. Your PS4 controller is now in pairing mode. The second way to sync your PS4 controller to your ps4 is through a USB to MICRO USB cable. Plug the usb end into the PS4 and the MICRO USB end into the PS4 Controller! This will pair instantly to your PS4. ...

@@edmonngo8439 I did. The only way I got it to pair again was to use my other controller, get to the settings, then pair it. If I only had one controller, I would've been screwed.

The holding the ps button and the share button at the same time is the absolute answer for Bluetooth pairing and after 6 videos you’re the only person to even bring it up thank you!!!!!

The one and only controller was replaced with a new one. I had to go through LOTS of USB/data cords to finally get the new controller to work.

@gxmz some USB cables have data transfer and some don't. You have to use one with data transfer. That should work.

Look at the remote, it's clearly already connected to the PlayStation. And notice how the screen in the background changes a couple seconds later after **connecting** his controller to the PlayStation.

@@JulioNieves-y7ookay i figured it out. You gotta go to settings on the ps4 > go to devices > Bluetooth devices and you should see it all the way at the bottom. It’s gonna be hard if your controller has a drift. But that’s how I did it. Both methods in this video didn’t work for me. Also idk if it matter but I also disconnected all my old controllers from my ps4 in the same menu I mentioned. Good luck

I fixed it with his method, hopefully it helps other people!
For anyone wondering. I had an extra controller. This can be done with a keyboard, but unfortunately you need another device to use so you can navigate to the “Bluetooth devices” page for this to work. I already had about 10 dual shocks controllers listed on my Bluetooth devices list, so I forgot all of them and left the one controller I was using. After that, connect your controller with a charger, reset it with a pin for about 15 seconds. You can tell that it is resetting because if you see the yellow charging light on your controller, it will turn off while you are resetting, and turn back on when you’re done. Then, hold the share button first then the ps button to get the flickering lights. This should bring your controller on the list of Bluetooth devices. For some reason while my screen was on the ‘Bluetooth devices’ page, it made empty rows for more places where the “DUALSHOCK 4” would go. I’m not sure why, but It didn’t connect my controller when that happens. To fix this, just press on one of the empty rows, and they’ll all disappear but slowly re appear. Use this time to quickly connect your controller then with the steps above. If so, then you’ll see your controller pop up on the list like in the video. Hopefully this works for some people, and good luck!

None of the steps in the video worked for me but this is what I did..
Step 1 Download remote play from App Store and sign into ps4 account using Bluetooth
Step 2 use remote app to go to Settings>devices>controllers>make sure Bluetooth is enabled instead of USB on the PS4. DONT connect controller to remote play app
Step 3 hold down share and ps4 button on controller for 5 seconds and wait for it to start blinking
Step 4 use the remote play app to go to settings>devices>Bluetooth devices>choose DUALSHOCK4 at the bottom
Step 5 yay! You connected the ps4 controller. You can now turn off Bluetooth on your phone and use the controller

You were probably using a charging USB, you need to use your original USB cord that came with your playstation or use a phone USB

If the light keeps flashing even when connected to USB, try this:
Hold the power button on the PS4 until it beeps twice. Unplug and plug the power cord back in as well. From there, connect the PS4 to the controller via USB cable and press the PS button on the controller. Worked for me, hope it works for you :)

Another IMPORTANT note is that the PS4 has a limit to how many Bluetooth devices can be connected. Be sure to check how many devices are connected and forget the ones that aren't in use if you're still having issues with the normal steps.

I remember last time it was doing that because I brought a new controller n it was just blinking. 💀 Until I Used the one that came with my PS4. & it cut right on.

Dude thank you so much! My controller wasn’t connecting via the cord. Thankfully with my smart tv remote I can still navigate the ps4 screen so I was able to connect via Bluetooth.

What you're going to is:
1. Go to *Devices* on your PS4 (in Settings)
2. Go to *Controllers* and change the method of communication to *Bluetooth* !!!
3. Exit *Controllers* tab and go back into *Devices* this time going into *Bluetooth Devices*, forget all current Blue tooth Controllers synced to your PS4
4. Listen Carefully, in order to connect the PS4 Controller to your PS4 via Bluetooth, the buttons needed on the controller you are going to connect are *Share* and the *PS* button
5. At this point in time you already have another controller or device pre-connected which is being used to actually perform various functions on the PS4 in hopes of connecting this "other" controller, while you are in *Bluetooth Devices* the tab/icon *DUALSHOCK 4* will pop up during the following procedure i will mention next. When *DUALSHOCK 4* does pop up click on it using your already active controller and the option to pair the controller will be presented where you select "yes"
"THE PROCEDURE"
HOLD THE BUTTON *Share* on the controller you wish to connect, while holding the button and still be holding it throughout;
HOLD THE BUTTON *PS* on the controller you wish to connect
At this point in time you will be holding both of these options which may be let go after you see the option *DUALSHOCK 4* pop up on your PS4 in *Bluetooth Devices*
CLICK ON IT AND FINALLY BE FREE OF YOUR SUFFERING!!!!

If it still dosent connect after hooking your controller up via USB then hold the ps4 power button until it completely shuts off (not rest mode) then turn your controller off by holding share and the ps button. Then plug your controller in via USB and hit the ps button. That's what worked for ke

If the BLUETOOTH connection doesn’t work, and the USB cord method isn’t working. TRY switching out for another cord, may just be the cord you’re using. I tried all options on 2 different videos and none of them worked, so I tried a different cord and now it works!
