I saw these guys at Buc-ees (a giant gas station/store in Macon, GA) just walking around and I thought they looked like a band. I asked them if they were in a band, dude said yes and that they were on tour, said they were Bambara. Very cool.
I believe when you reach a certain age it gets harder to accept new music, It’s hard to describe the feeling when you hear something new that is this fucking cool.
As a DJ I have lists and lists and lists, genres from “A” to “B.” This special song immediately went into my personal “Me” list for songs that go directly to my soul. Thank you guys for all your hard work and sacrifices. It really means something. Don’t ever think it doesn’t. You touched me. And inspired me. By the way, I discovered you on the alternative new release list on Google Play. So congratulations and apparently your new record label and or new phase in life is bringing you luck. I’ll be looking for you coming through Phoenix. Good luck on your tour and much continued success. You guys deserve it. Hang in there.
I love me some fast music that also isn’t scared to go WEEEEOOOGRAAAAAAOWEEREAAAAAA EEAAAOOOOOOOO. It like I’m speeding down a tunnel and I hear the engine reverberating around me.
I mean, there's a lot of songs about sapphic love and arson, but this is some new level of _cool_ 🖤 Also, I listen to this whole album for the first time now and the vocals give me some major Nick Cave vibes with this noise-drowned, somber storytelling (and I love it), but also a lot of other fantastic feelings I can't completely pinpoint and name. I guess that's what a good album does.
Man hearing this song made me go back and listen to one of my old favorite bands that I had not listened to in about a decade. Michael Been and The Call. Them I listened to jim Carrol's People Who Died. I am not sure why this song did that. It is an awesome song and I am glad that it did.
Geeky as hell, but would love to work out a league table of most under rated bands statistically...must be do-able: record sales v tour sales v quality of music (hard to quantify) v potential (also rock hard to quantify). Gotta factor in changing tastes and trends. Music discovery today vs before 15 years ago. Tough job, but gotta be possible. There must be an algorithm for most under rated band...
Ne ye special cuz kanuya min bɛ di ne ma o ye special ye... #1 ci fɔlen : aw bɛ Ala kanu ni aw dusukun bɛɛ ye , ni aw ni bɛɛ ye , ni aw hakili bɛɛ ye .
There's a sound here that is really good, but is disappointingly one dimensional. They could've done so much more for each of their songs in past albums. I want to hear them jam out/improvise or maybe have a collaboration with another artist. It could be more interesting to listen to. So close to having something great to listen to if only they had more variation. Let's hope this album gives us more than the past.
What? Shadow On Everything is one of the best albums. Their albums before that, I can see what you're saying (An Ill Son and All The Ugly Things being 2 amazing exceptions on Swarm). I have listened to their new album and felt a little let down-- I just wanted more intensity and variation, like Shadow... You have to see this band live to really appreciate them though. Honestly, one of the greatest live bands I have ever seen.

THIS IS LITERALLY THE COOLEST!!!
At around 38yrs old 75% of the population lose the ability to like any new music, if you are part of the 25%, rejoice
@@gazthecat 62 years going strong.... never too old to rock and roll and accept what is good and new
Hands down, one of my favorite songs of all time. The lyrics are undeniably brilliant. This is a masterpiece.
First, there was a headache.
Now it's just a time called Post VOID...

Most underated band on the planet.
