Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Today I just find same pressure washer on waste yard for free lol Have no ideas what is wrong just bring home trying and is work great but have exactly same problem so having now pressure washer for free just need buying new part for few quid. Big thank you for this video and sharing your experience.
Thanks we’ve just fixed ours fairly confident it was that part as was leaking from the same place, anyone else considering having a go and no confidence, i’m no diy’er and managed to fix it so worth a try for £15. Now keeping our 8 year old son entertained during lockdown lol.
I had the exact same issue (still in 2024). I ordered this part on amazon. It was bought more then a thousand times. Karcher failed on developing this part as it seems to leak at the same point. I hope they will build a more solid part or change the design because it's a very tight corner where the water is pressed into. If they will not upgrade it in the future I will switch brand.
Great video, thanks very much! - I had the same issue on my K2 I tried to super glue the seam with no joy so ordered the same part from amazon - worked great!
Thank you :) I tried araldite but that didn’t work so I bought a replacement elbow, I just wasn’t sure where to use the silicone paste. Fingers crossed 😃
Just checked mine which was leaking and when testing, it leaks in the same place. Cannot physically see a hole or crack but £12 on Amazon is better than a new machine!
I had to open my karcher to fix but did not have a screw driver for the bootom screw to deep and narrow so i used a angle grinder to open when fixed i sticky taped it back together works well hope this helps
excellent video and step by step instructions THANK YOU I'd like your advice about a connection of an attachment to this outlet valve so I can use a quick connect hose instead of a screw connection
Hi, silicone was never going to work with so much pressure being forced through the part. I would of tried epoxy resin in and around the cracked area I'd be almost certain it would hold, only a few quid from toolstation and dries seriously strong in minutes!
My one seems to be leaking at the part that has that clear rubber tube connected. That cylinder is leaking, and the pressure of the water is lower than it should be?? No cracks or anything, so I have no idea what's the problem is. Maybe a rubber grommet needs to be replaced? It's really confusing as it has been fine until a random leak.
Do you know what tyoe gearbox oil they use in this has I made the mistake of uncoupling the whole of the plastic unity from the motor and spilt oil out of it. It looked like some type of synthetic oil. Not sure of the type of oil or exact quantity
15W-40, don't know how much is required though?.. www.espares.ie/product/es538165?+shopping&+shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQiAqvaNBhDLARIsAH1Pq52xVQtk2sGQpMzvU4tsbiwdfzRZKytQ4Qnm-T1E7tW7pBe-pg56ZBQaAmw_EALw_wcB
Out of interest. Did this massively improve the pressure. I’m considering buying a new one as my K2 is old. But was the pressure drop noticeable / better once fixed.
My leak is on the actual cylinder head or the thrust assembly, whatever it is. Espares sell the part for £87. Ewaste, more like: time to bin it because its cheaper to buy a new one. The motor assembly is full of watery grey oil and will all fall apet when opened. There are many components inside which can fall on the floor without care. Partmaster do exploded views of the motor assembly if it does all fall apart. As I said, my spray eminates from within a nook of the cylinder head; the black part visible further back from your leak location in your vid. I've spent an hour pulling this apart and it'll take another half hour to reassemble: unless your leak is in the same place as in the vid, I recommend trying epoxy and not disassembling it further as it's a waste of time. Would be good if you showed hoe you fitted your purchased part to the machine, not that it matters in my case though.
Hi i have a karcher wch had a same leakage problem. I resolved with some good glue, now the outlet wall which is connectes to the gun pipe ( the from which water runs out from the machine ) keeps on removing. Any solution please?

Hope that will sort out. PS.Just ordered the spare part too ,just in case. Really odd,it should be a common issue. Yet my machine was stored dry,and even covered in my shed.

What's the name of this spare part
And how it cost
Why superglue. It won't hold. Maybe epoxy glue will?
