No And No. the Reason That Is Because a the Wire Is Connected Into The Controller so you can communicate with the team mates. If you don’t have any or don’t need this you can plug your headphones into the computer and turn on audio monitoring for the audio line in or the 4k60
@@omgthatsbjones1678 Hi thanks for the reply. I just tried this method, its ok..but there's enough audio delay for me to notice in COD. Hi,
Been trying this for months.
Everything works fined, but my party chat voice doesn't come up in stream, only my voice.
If I switch in PS5 sound settings output device from controller headset to HDMI, my stream can hear voice chat and me, but I can't hear anything on my headset.
I'm using 1st.gen astro a50.
Any help????
where do you plug te chat link cables into? do you add an aux cable?
So do i need a chat link in order for it to get the party chat audio . I have A40s with the mixamp on my ps5 and a astro hdmi adapter. I can only hear the game audio and not the chat audio .Idk what i doing wrong
can i get help this set up isnt working for me i also have a wireless headset are there any different instructions i have to use
Thank you so much brother❤
Will I be able to hear my PC audio in the headset too? (I'm guessing not).
Also will the headsets mic work on the PC? (I'm guessing not again)
No And No. the Reason That Is Because a the Wire Is Connected Into The Controller so you can communicate with the team mates.
So what i tried was 3.5mm jack from controller to Line in, and plug headset in to normal 3.5mm jack in PC. The delay is much less but still noticeable. I've run out of ideas now. because i want to still use my headset mic for PC but hear both pc and ps5 audio still...
@@omgthatsbjones1678 I figured it out. I was doing "listen to this device" on the Recording > Line in > Listen tab... which was causing a delay.
The way to listen to line in without delay is not to do that, but instead go to your headset in the Playback > Levels > then unmute and increase volume on the Line in.
Now you can hear line in audio without delay with PC too
@@ThatSameer that also works. Me personally i don’t need pc audio through headphones i just have speakers which my alerts play through. Headphones are for strictly game and chat audio.
Thanks for the video.
Appreciate you my dude
Welcome.
Man I have the 4k60 pro, the Ps5, the chat link, and the PC. I want my things set up like yours, I just need to know what goes connected to what, and how the microphones go connected any help would be appreciated brother, im new to pc.
Sorry I’m so late just seeing this but I’ll try to simplify it. Blue yeti (or similar mic) plugged into pc
Ps5 into capture card. Capture card into monitor.
Party chat link goes in the audio line in of your pc then connects to your controller and headphone.
@@omgthatsbjones1678 i figured it out man but i was still not able to record with it without it lagging:/ I’ve been trying for a month now
Would we need the Astro A40s with a MixAmp do to the wireless? If so could you make a video on how to do that with the M.K. 2?
I’ve watched videos on the Astros. I Believe you need to order the adapter. As far as this setup goes, it has to be wired to your main audio capture (pc, mix amp, etc) first then you can go wireless i believe. Don’t quote me though as i don’t have the astros myself.
I can hear audio from in game, and they can hear my mic, but i cant hear them. only through the controller. I'm guessing its the headset. I have a turtle beach stealth pro playstation.
Edit, Had to switch setting from Controller to TV In audio.
But now Mic isnt going through to ps but i can hear them now
when i set my ps5 up on the one monitor how can i switch between monitors? Like lets say i want to pull youtube up on the one i have my ps5 on because the other has streamlabs open? How would i drag it over? Great video tho man
Actually when i plug the chat link into the Audio in port i can only hear my ps5 and have no sound coming from my pc
Thank you bro
Quick question I’m using a mix amp with my ps5 and my headset is plugged directly into that and my friends and all that can hear me thru that but when I stream my viewers can’t hear them is there a way to hook the chat link to my amp my computer ?
I’m not 100% sure because it’s tricky. Do you have the Astro adapter for the ps5? As long as your headphones are plugged into the mic amp your stream will not be able to hear. Only when it come from the controller or directly from the systems hdmi audio.
If you are looking to use a mix amp as well i would try astros website/Google for a more helpful solution.
@@omgthatsbjones1678 I actually tried it and it worked. I have the Astro mix amp PS4 version and I plugged the chat link in the stream port on the back of the amp and the other end into the in line on the back of the pc then tested it and it works without even adding the input capture for the in line with the 4K capture utility software
@@DawnOfBri glad to hear that works for you. You just helped me out a little for everyone else that has this setup or something similar. Thanks.
My capture card works to pick up the game audio but my splitter is not capturing audio for my headset how do i fix that?
If you are using a splitter you have to change the setting under the audio from HDMI to analog.
@@omgthatsbjones1678 im not able to switch that setting in my 4k capture device it
Ok so this is my problem. Am really hoping u reply. So I have a snowball mic that’s usb and connected directly to my ps5 and I have a 3D pulse headset that is connected directly to my controller. If I get the chat link cable and follow wat u did will my obs get the ingame audio and party chat audio.
Yes so how you would set your stream up is plug your snowball mic into your pc/computer to use that to talk to chat/stream. And you would use the party chat link cable and your pulse 3d headset connected to your controller for game chat. Hope this helps if you need more help just write me.
@@omgthatsbjones1678 thank u so much hopefully I’ll get the chat link pro and if it works. Much appreciated.
Ok one last thing, let’s say am playing in a party of 4 people from Ps party. How would I speak to them if my mic is connected to my pc. By the way am sorry if I sound link noob, am kinda new to this.
@@Bagz1994 your pulse 3d headphones will be connected to your controller so that’s how you will hear and speak to the party of 4.
all u hv to do to is hv the 4k capture utility software open to hear sound, you dnt hv to use it to record just have it open
True. But you can run into audio issues that way with it potentially echoing or having other issues.
Subbed been trying to figure out how to set up ps5 to capture sound and party chat thru hd60 pro this should help me out
Yeah, I’m trying to use the Elgato 4k60 with chat link pro, for OBS, and I can’t hear both my computer audio and console audio.
Try the steps again from the beginning and you should be able to hear all audio you want to.
Can you also show how to do this with a Xbox series X? As I have that console too lol
unfortunately I dont have an xbox and dont know how it works on that side #PlaystationNation lol
Hey guys
How Long is the Chat Link cable ? I Need a Long Cable for my PC
The Party Chat Link I Believe Is 2meters Or Around 6ft long.
How would I be able to also hear my pc audio?
Great Video!
Yeah it really is😑😑😑😂😂😂
I've got an astro A40 so you saying if I follow this vid I can do part chat like chat with my friends and leave my usb mic connected to my PC
Did it work?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man!
Question when you do this can you use the pc mic to talk to party chat on ps5 ?
No my pc mic is hooked up to my pc so it’s to talk to the stream. The mic on my headset is what i use in the party chat link.
@@omgthatsbjones1678 I figured that was the case,
@@omgthatsbjones1678 just ignore me I’ve been over thinking it, I’m used to just streaming from ps5 allowing my voice to be shared and got into my head when I start streaming with the capture card your going to here my voice twice the one talking to the party and the one stream can here but obviously that won’t be the case lol just a blonde moment let’s say ha ha
@@Narkis_01 it’s okay i understand. Lol. Hope you got everything all set up and if you have any questions you can comment and ask or DM on Twitter (best reply)
@@omgthatsbjones1678 cheers buddy
hey when i connect the chat link to my controller i hear a sort of buzzing static sound what do i do about this?
The static is cause by electrical interference. I would start by unplugging and replugging back in. Try to make sure no wires are touching each other or crossing over. If you have done this and still get a lot of static i would look into a new cord and a ground loop isolator (stops static) and it cost about $10
The buzzing happenwhen chat link and the usb charger are plugged together
Charge before you capture
Bro you saved me from buying new headphones.
Glad i could help!
Just gotta see if it works with my pc
Where do we get the party chat line from?
Amazon, Best Buy, Elgato Website, Etc. Just Google it
thx my friend love
Will this work with the Series X as well?
I have no knowledge on how the Xbox series works as far as audio. You would have to search for another video.
i dont have line in option, please help bro!
@@tggjayy are you using OBS? Do you have Twitter/X or discord? I can help you out more there than the comments here
Wait do you need a mixamp for this ?
do you have a link on where to buy the cable you used in your controller
Yes here you go

@@omgthatsbjones1678 thanks
@@Jayk4320 you’re welcome.
Does this work the same for Xbox series x users thanks
I am not sure. I have been told the process is similar
So every time I want to use party I have to use obs?
No. This just makes it so ALL AUDIO game, party, and other comes in as one.
I have the elagato sound card and cant catch game play sound when I stream
So you need use obs for this to work
OBS. Xsplit. Any software that allows you access each individual property of your computer and add to one single source.
@@omgthatsbjones1678 does this work with stream labs obs
So you are usung the controllers mix pretty much
Yes. I’m sending the all the audio from my controller into the pc with the party chat link plugged to the line in on my computer.
Thats the same way you do it with the el gato 60
@@xaploq1 yeah. But the 4k60 doesn’t have a direct audio input so this is why i made the video.
Will this record game chat as well
Yes it will record game chat.
Whats the name of the cable?
Elgato party chat link
@@omgthatsbjones1678 Thank you. Does this still work as of today?
It doesn’t record my blue yeti audio only party char audio
Sound like you need to set another source > audio input capture and make sure it’s your blue yeti mic under properties.
BASICALLY!
Can you do the same on series X
Not Sure As I Have Not Tested With An Series X. I Would Assume It Works In A Simi Familiar Way.
Does it work with Astro A40 with mix amp
And you need a external usb mic to ps5 to talk to party
This does not work on xbox. I don't think there is a solution for xbox players right now.
I Think for xbox u don't need the chat link pro
@@jessy8a10 yeah not anymore
Can anyone help show me how to do this with a wireless headset
You can't sadly, have to have a wired headset. Been a big problem with elgato for years. Or if there is a way i've never seen one.
@Ramon LaCour yes, but then the people in your party chat can't hear you. Cuz your headset connected to your pc not your ps5.
@Ramon LaCour Maybe he can to. Idk everyone situation is different. Lol
@@kohle6454 do you get a static noise using it tho ? On wired headphones
@@xwkcz okay so I figured out a solution to my wireless headset all I have to do is make sure your headset has a auxiliary slot and plug it into the back part of your tv with an auxiliary cord and go to PS settings and change the audio output on to the tv
this is a 8min video that could be 2min smh
You can’t explain in good details quickly. Some people need the extra help as they may not have the computer/software knowledge we have.
