Good review! Straight to the point. I think the 911 is more attractive than ever. But the options list...OMG The option list! You can easily dobbel the price of the car...
Cheers. It's had to say without driving them back to back, but from memory I think the Turbo might have been just a tad quieter due to more sound insulation.
Thanks! They are both very different cars. 4S I'd consider as a top level sports car, the turbo is firmly a supercar. It is a big price jump and ultimately the answer to your question comes down to what you want from the car.
Being it is now boosted, the Carrera has a lot of tuning potential, therefore tuning and possibly turbo upgrades will make it even faster than it is stock. I think it will be much easier and cheaper to tune than the turbo branded model is. Think of this the new carrera (rwd) lapped the Nurburg ring faster than the previous gen GT3. I think in time being their is a rwd carrera option new carrera will become a more relevant car to tuners and drivers than the very expensive Turbo, whilst the turbo will be more of a status symbol. Tuners will find ways to make the normal Carrera with turbos perform as fast as or faster than the turbo branded model i am sure and for far less than the price difference. It is up to what you want.
It's not accurate to say that "regardless of where it is in the rev range, it just takes off when you put your foot down". With PDK, putting your foot down means it will drop 2 gears, so your RPM will jump.
ended up car poor, you'll begging the dealer to take the car back, it's a gas guzzler you'll always be near a petrol station. regrets and more regrets after making the first monthly payment. Good Luck.
+mac daddy It all depends what you want your car for. There is a 7 speed manual available. Obviously the auto is the fastest and if you are is continuous traffic everyday then that makes sense.
Porsche are still exclusive; I recently ordered a new 911, and the options list is HUGE and expensive. But because of that, one can create a unique vehicle to meet individual needs and desires. I doubt there is another 911 which is exactly the same as the one i am looking forward to taking delivery of in a couple of months. As for the PDK gearbox, I am a wheelchair user, so this option is a must have for me.
I love hearing the turbo whistle! No complaints here for Porsche using turbos!
Killer review. Straight to the point. Love it!
Thank you!

Thank you! Yes, that is very true. The Macan we tested had almost 20k worth.
Well done! good review I'm looking at one this week. I'm also interested in the new Panamera
+Dave Henderson We are itching to try to the Panamera. I've heard good things.
I saw u go the ceramic brakes?? No noise? How is the pccb gen 3?
sport response sounds like a brilliant idea!!
It is indeed. You can also have it on Cayman and Boxster.
+Inside Lane ooo nice. Anyway, inspirational channel and following to work towards!
Are those seats an option? Looks great!
Yes the carbon seats are an option.
qacqaqa yes they are , but dont get them, you will feel sorry after 3 hours of use , ultra firm 😖
Keep up the good work
Thank you!
again nice vid, thank you.
would you say that the interior noise is on par with the latest 911 turbo S when cruising?
Cheers. It's had to say without driving them back to back, but from memory I think the Turbo might have been just a tad quieter due to more sound insulation.
kinda what i'd expected, thanks for info
Does the sports exhaust option only improve sound?
I believe it does.
5:01 what a car?
Hi, would you recommend using an extra 20-30k for a 911 turbo over the 4S?
great video btw

the gt3 RS sounds the best in the lineup, but this car is probably more of a daily. Thanks for the video

A 911 FWD :D
Porsche have loads of great plates on their press fleet. There is one that just says "A 911"
It really doesn't sound that great from the outside.

Have you owned one of these new generation 911s?
+Inside Lane that's were my money spent. retirement money to name a few. let it go while you can and get a Honda.
This model has only just come out, so I doubt you have owned this car.
+Inside Lane they're all the $ame, good only for 1 year and trouble $tart$ on wheel$ fir$t and beyond. exhaust sounds free and unforgettable.
That is too much of a generalisation. I don't think you can really back that up.
Oh lord another automatic Porsche. You might as well get an Prius. Yawn.
+mac daddy It all depends what you want your car for. There is a 7 speed manual available. Obviously the auto is the fastest and if you are is continuous traffic everyday then that makes sense.
Inside Lane No it does not. A Porsche should be manual. Period.
If Porsche were stuck in their ways they wouldn't be making a profit.
