The picture shows single sheathed cables entering & exiting the device. Would it have to be house in a protective box up until the point these single cables join the t&e double sheathed cable?
Thanks for your message. Additional wire housing is not required, as the receiver's terminal cover allows the continuity of double-sheathed cable to the terminals. In the above video, single-sheathed cables are used to demonstrate the device's wiring.
Hi Gordon, thanks for your messahe. The Quinetic receivers are not IP-rated. An enclosure is recommended for outdoor installations, while indoors there is no requirement for such housing. However, you need to consider placing the receiver away from any insulation material.
Thanks for your enquiry. The receivers have a terminal cover that is screwed in place, thus disabling access to the terminals. The only need for an enclosure is when you use the Quinetic receiver in an outdoors setup.

Do any of the receivers need to be enclosed within a fireproof encloser when installed within a ceiling or roof space.

I see the terminals are exposed so it needs an enclosure ?

Do you have to run a quinetic switch or can you just use the app?
Hi Paul, thanks for your message. You are able to control the Wi-Fi receivers with a Quinetic switch and/or with the app.
