Yes Carlo it overrides, so if you have the movement sensor to turn an outside light on, you can have another switch paired to keep the light on permanently if necessary. Beware when using this system you need to pair the pir with the light first, and then the second kinetic second, I had problems pairing because I did the switch first and then the pir. I hope this makes sense.

Video shows what looks like an LEDlite (LT QSFxxxx) being switched, but TLC-Direct QUPIR documentation states 'Not compatible with LTQSF Quinetic Floodlights'. So can you clarify compatibility and how you were switching the floodlight in the video? Thanks.

Hi Gary, thanks for your message. The PIR is not compatible with the LT QSF range but is compatible with the LT USF range - bit.ly/3rkT3xP

what do you mean "Can be controlled by up to 10 switches"...surely these control the switches??

You've probably found the answer by now, but for the benefit of others - 10 switches refers to the number of switches that can be paired to the wireless / WiFi receivers. The device shown in this video must communicate with a receiver in order to control the light.

How does this product work with a switch that’s paired with a controller ? Does it act as an override ?

The PIR can override the wireless switch and vice-versa as the receiver maintains the last command emitted by a paired Quinetic device, switch or PIR. For example, if you switch a light (wired to the receiver) ON through the Quinetic Switch, it will remain ON as long as the PIR is not triggered. If the PIR is triggered, the light will function only the amount of time configured using the PIR’s time adjustment knob.

@@tlcdirect so it won’t act as an override then. if the customer wanted the light permanently on and then someone triggered the pir after being switched it will go back into pir mode ?.

@@Baggiolyful Unfortunately, it is not possible to have the light permanently ON. As mentioned, the Quinetic receiver will change its status (ON/OFF) depending on what device was triggered last. If someone triggers the PIR after being switched (by a paired Quinetic switch) it will maintain the light as long the PIR is set to(maximum 10 min).
