    I think the people who are asking about the after maybe want a longer after shot because it's only on the screen for a split second so it's like If you blink you miss it 😅 ❤ looks great to me. We all have to make do with what we have, we have rented a house in the past with hardwood floors definitely not my favorite floors in a rental, especially when they haven't been cared for very well.

      Thank you so much for your feedback! I think you’re right, I’ll have to redo this. That’s exactly what happening, the owners have not been taking care of this floor. Which I kind of understand being that it’s a rental.

    I did this when I first moved into a house with my mom. Only time I’d ever mop hardwood floors, mopping them definitely ruins them but I’m sure you know that.

      Not really. If you use the right stuff mopping will not damage.

      @np7360 7 месяцев назад +3

      Im sorry but that is just plain wrong - mopping hardwood and often is what you should be doing - just use the appropriate cleaners (clue: plain soap works) and dont leave tonnes of water on the floor aka moist not wet

    What do you use to clean wooden floors? They get dirty daily

    • @MamaBellshome
      @MamaBellshome  Год назад

      I like using Murphy Soap amzn.to/3XlgjJX It works really good to get them clean and also protects them. Just make sure you really wrong out the mop or use a spray mop to prevent damage to the wood.

    You’re not supposed to use water on wood floors like that

    • @MamaBellshome
      @MamaBellshome  Год назад +14

      I know. Unfortunately these are rental floors and there trashed! I’ve tried everything except sanding them and starting over and if we owned them I’d 💯 do it. Thanks for your comment.

      I've been mopping 200+ year old wood floors for 50 years. The key is slightly damp mop.
      Every other year, I strip the paste wax off, scrub with brush and cleaner and suck it up with shop vac. You just can't let lots of water stand there for long.
      Then after dry, I reapply paste wax and buff them.
      These are unfinished floors with polyurethane on them. With the paste wax, it scratches but the poly doesn't.

      @@MamaBellshomesince it's a rental, you might try rejuvenate. It does lay down a shine and a little protective coat. But it eventually peels so I wouldn't use it if it was my floor. But we've done it in rentals when floors werent ready to be re-sanded.

      I use murphy’s soap amzn.to/4a1VSrm because it seems to work the best to clean but also be good for the wood. I definitely think these floors need to be redone but it’s helpful in the meantime. 😉

      With 7 kids and unsealed floors it does get quite dirty. I clean them every week though which keeps it manageable so no filthy feet here 😉
