Celtics getting a steal here. Porzingis just had a career year and is a legit stretch-big at 7’3 who shot 39% from 3 on high volume. Nice get for the C’s and a considerable upgrade over Horford.

Absolutely love this move for Boston. Smart isn't a big upgrade over White but KP is a huge upgrade over Horford at this point in his career.

The best NY Knicks draft pick Kristpas Porziņģis in the pass decade. Porziņģis better and superior than Julius Randle. The Knicks need to bring him back to NYC. His injury and alleged rage charges that he was found innocent of forced him to leave NY. I am glad to see him overcome his ACL injury and return to his All-Star form.
Randle is a 2x all star 2x All nba and a MIP winner within the last 3 yrs.
Randie is better but there’s talk about teaming them up in nyc would be interesting

i think luka will do a lot of deep reflecting this summer and realise he can't keep doing this % of possession of ball and start dishing out earlier. would be a lot easier if brunson was still around - such a huge mistake not renewing his contract earlier. but letting kp go - that's like a generational screw up :|
@@quaveop They let him go because he was constantly hurt and you couldn't really rely on him. He had some nice games, but Mavs needed a dominant center and not a 7'0 guy who shoots threes and is hurt every three games. It just didn't work out

Marcus is somewhat overvalued and can be a shooting killer when they go cold, but they have been competitive since Smart got here. Maybe this is to take the next step from just being competitive. Celtics needed to get bigger. Kristaps and Brogdon have injury concerns. And Marcus is a rock as far as certain things. but maybe players will step up. This is the Celtics really gambling.

I honestly called this trade before it happened. I do this quite a bit while the media is spewing mindless rumors. Same with Derrick White. And their draft picks. I knew what they needed and who needed to go. I'm still not sold it will work. There are other bigs i would have preferred but for Brogdon this is the deal that would get done. It's still more on the team and how they mature as a whole and Tatum and Brown. I think you gotta hold Brown now right? There's that rumor for the 3rd pick but why? other than Brown just wants to move on and they really like Scoot. I've heard worse ideas.
Porzingis plays outside a lot himself, like Horford, but just having 3 bigs is going to force the Celtics to play big ball vs small ball which will benefit them.
