Hello everyone! I wanted to make a bit more of an explanation, after more of todays events unfolded. For those that don't know, as of a few hours before uploading this, Sony/Arrowhead announced that anyone playing this game VIA steam, would be forced to connect a PSN account or lose access, effectively banning several areas of the world from playing the game, and forcing anyone else to give up private data for a game they've already bought and have been playing for 3 months. It should go without saying that this is remarkably shitty, and I absolutely hate it. I plan to leave this video up while the dust settles, and if it's worth bringing down at a later date I will. But I just wanted to again address that this couldn't be brought up in the video itself as it was recorded before this happened, and this was a case of COSMICALLY bad timing. That ban hammer for trans rights was because the mods are political ideologues... those weren't the developers... those mods are the ones that caused all the recent issues and are getting a ton of backlash. You think because you are for "insert current political thing" that you are a good person... so did a lot of evil people in the past. You are an NPC that just follows the script that you are handed. It is sad.
@@thomgizziz So the mods of that server are community managers, hired by the developers. It's safe to say the agree with each other on major "from the company" stances. The recent issues were caused by Sony, the publisher. Neither the mods nor the dev wanted any of that drama. And trans people having a space to exist and the freedom to feel safe being themselves should never have been a political issue. Your comfort doesn't overrule other people's safety
I want to be emersed into a game world. It would be damn stupid if some random soldier in a lord of the rings game or some had a god damn pride cape... it would roin the feeling in the game! I dont need to know someone's sexuality to have fun with them in game. Banning someone who put out a valid point is absolutely uncalled for and you supporting that ban tells me everything i need to know about you.
Instead of screaming ideologies, lets see if you can back that up with logic. First of all, we're talking about the player backgrounds. you'd see them for all of .5% of the game. But let's use your example of capes. If you can explain to me, specifically, how a Trans flag cap would break the emersion any more than a rock paper scissors or hug emote, in an active warzone, when we're already wearing other bright spangley colors, from a society based and centered on EARTH, I might be willing to hear your point.
@@WobbleHawk It's not the earth we know it's a complete different reality there what makes the game great is there is no real symbolism no American flag no Russian flag or anything the only flag that we are proud of and that exists in this world is the flag of super earth! And let's play pretend if they give the trans ppl a flag in the game all the other groups want one to then there is a rainbow one, a BLM one and many more than to venture signal more than there is a Ukraine cape to or a Palestinian flag. It's never enough for the left to get one thing. and if the ideologies from the left political party get capes, why not the right as well let's add a south State flag as a cape or something else... and slowly and steadily this game becomes more and more like the other trash games like fort nite and cod. And be real if these 5% would wear a pride cape they would be instantly kicked from missions when other players see the capes or team killed into oblivion. Wouldn't be fun for them either. I want to have fun together with people not knowing where they come from or what sexuality they have that's so appealing in the game. At this moment right now there might be an ultra leftist "they them" playing with a right wing extremist and both have fun together it's beautiful.
