I just love this hat. Thank you so much for all your videos. I am working on my second hat in blue last one was green. I have done several of your hat patterns. Again Thank you so much for the time you put into these wonderful videos.
I really enjoyed watching you knit this bonnet. It has been tricky to find a bonnet tutorial that is knitted rather than crocheted.Would you be able to do a beginners/easy baby bonnet? Thank you for the tutorial :)
Thank you so much for an awesome tutorial. I have just finished this project with you for my newborn second niece who is about 1 month. You're a great teacher with skill and nice voice, too.
I absolutely loved to knit this pattern. The hat turned out so cute! Just one little mistake in the pattern explanation. It has to be 46 in row 1 of the shaping so it turns out that on each side of the short row there are 15 stitches left.
Do you have the tutorial for the matching sweater? The first official fotos of Princess Charlotte looks like she is wearing a sweater with a matching motif. Thanks!
This bonnet is adorable!! :D Great tutorial! I was wondering if you could add a way to size upp this bonnet? my yarn and needles differ in size fram yours and also if the baby is a bit older and have a larger head. I guess I could try and do the math but I'm a newbie so not sure how it would turn out :P
Made this bonnet for granddaughter due in December. There is a People magazine article describing the bonnet on Princess Charlotte is actually on backwards.
Hello, thank you so much for this cute bonnet. I have done that today for our grand son who will be born in June.:) your instruction step by step tutorial is easy and clear for me to follow. Plus I am a beginner knitter:) I want to know do you have newborn baby sweater tutorial? Thanks again
Hello I’ve just started knitting this bonnet following along with your video but when I downloaded the pattern it is completely different it doesn’t start with the edge it goes straight into the mock cables and on your video you say after the mock cables knit 42 stitchers but it is in brackets above 44 can you please clarify
The easiest way would be to just increase your needles one size. You can add about 20 stitches to the pattern. Just adjust where to evenly space them. Extra side stitches. A few more in between the center pattern.
Just wanted to ask after you get your first length of 4 inches you came back and said now knit 42 knitting stitches but your instructions on the screen said 44 stitches which one is it? Did I miss something, sorry I'm confused???
hi... cud u plz upload a video of a cute baby hoodie or a cardigan .. coz ur videos r really amazing n so easy to understand even for beginners... just a request :)
If it's just the folded hem you want to change color on, just switch on over to using the other color when you get to that point (on a right side row).
+PleasantSeas for the beginning part when I knit the five rows with you. you say to start on the right side. and I did that but since it's five rows it doesn't end on the right side. do I keep going with the wrong side.
***** Thank you. Hat turned out beautiful. For the straps I did 3 stitch I-cord on #5 DPNs; on the end that attaches to hat I knitted 6 rows garter stitch giving a flat end. You have wonderful tutorials.
Baljeet Khubber did you ever get a response to your question. I too, would like to make it for an older child, this style is much prettier than a beanie that seems to be the rage
+ruffianbreyerstar Well, I used a baby doll and it worked fine as is. If your doll is smaller I would suggest subtracting maybe 10 sts and then fit the pattern evenly across.
I love your videos and I am a subscriber. I would however like to inform your watchers that it wouldn't be wise to use acrylic yarn for baby clothes, baby blankets or anything for that matter. I watched a video on fires and even if a fire doesn't touch a person, the acrylic yarn they are wearing melts into the skin. After watching one of the videos that show the damage to a person's skin and the scarring (and pain) caused by acrylic and polyester yarns, I started using natural fibers like cotton, wool, etc. This is especially true for baby and children's wear.
What? Chemicals used in synthetic yarn production have been linked to health problems such as cancer, immune system damage, behavioral problems and hormone disruption. Not to mention that acrylic is flammable. It melts to the skin, is difficult to extinguish, and exudes toxic fumes when aflame.
melatina66 all clothing, except 100% cotton, wool , flax or leather will have man made materials, acrylic, in them. You will not find many people at all walking around in 100% natural fibers. Lol. Cotton is INCREDIBLY flammable. So, we should only dress babies in 100% unprocessed leather and raw wool? Ok.
YOU ARE AN EXCELLENT KNIT DEMONSTRATOR -- THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND YOUR DESIGNS.

If you end up with 30 sts. and pick up 15 that is 45. So I don't see how you say 46.
Sorry I was referring to something else
Do you have the tutorial for the matching sweater? The first official fotos of Princess Charlotte looks like she is wearing a sweater with a matching motif. Thanks!
I made this bonnet and though I would love it, because the pattern is do pretty, but it is too wide and too short for my baby's head.
Thank you for taking the time to do this its so beautiful I'm going to try this ! Thank you for making it clear n simple to follow 💕💕

Can we use circular needles if we don't have straight ones?
could you do this stitch with shorter numbers at the begining and in the middle please
Hello I’ve just started knitting this bonnet following along with your video but when I downloaded the pattern it is completely different it doesn’t start with the edge it goes straight into the mock cables and on your video you say after the mock cables knit 42 stitchers but it is in brackets above 44 can you please clarify

Awesome pattern!
I want to knit for 6-12 months baby. How much should i cast on n how should I knit in this pattern? Plz guide....
The easiest way would be to just increase your needles one size.
You can add about 20 stitches to the pattern. Just adjust where to evenly space them. Extra side stitches. A few more in between the center pattern.
PleasantSeas ok, I'll try as per ur instructions n after completing the project I'll send you its photo! Thankyou very much for ur reply!

+PleasantSeas okay thanks
From India mam I tried this lovely bonnet came out very well thanks for sharing this lovely video n subtitle were excellent n u were marvellous 👍
Just wanted to ask after you get your first length of 4 inches you came back and said now knit 42 knitting stitches but your instructions on the screen said 44 stitches which one is it? Did I miss something, sorry I'm confused???

At time stamp 3:34 is the reason you want to hem at the end! :) Great video though, and I will be casting this on soon!
I have knit this cap before but this time I want to put a contrasting color on the front edge; can you tell me how to do this?
If it's just the folded hem you want to change color on, just switch on over to using the other color when you get to that point (on a right side row).
can I use circular needles??
+Tesia Timmer Yes you can. It is worked flat so make sure not to join in the round.
+PleasantSeas for the beginning part when I knit the five rows with you. you say to start on the right side. and I did that but since it's five rows it doesn't end on the right side. do I keep going with the wrong side.
After working all the repeats for the body of the hat, make sure you're on the wrong side before you continue with the shaping.
+PleasantSeas OK. I saw that in your description you said to skin row 1 and continue with 2.
Thank you so much!!!! I am on my way making it. 😆
Thanks allot for sharing, love allot your work, excellent such a great had, thanks again
Hi, thanks for the tutorial :-) When you say you use #5 pins, does it mean US sizing or European?
Orsi Fekete It is US sizing. It's size 5 or 3.75mm.
On the Charlotte Bonnet ,short row you knit 42 but its written 44 which one is it? Ty
cuky avi It's 44.
PleasantSeas .9
With shaping of bonnet, do you knit 42 sts or 44 sts?
***** 44 sts
***** Thank you. Hat turned out beautiful. For the straps I did 3 stitch I-cord on #5 DPNs; on the end that attaches to hat I knitted 6 rows garter stitch giving a flat end. You have wonderful tutorials.
How do you made the Straps? it is like a tube? you put three rows but it does not look like yours, thanks
It's just knit flat. Just 3 rows of garter stitch. That's all. You could do an iCord if it would be easier.
I want to made this hat for 3 months child, can you please tell me the pattern
+Linh Nguyễn It's the same. This pattern will fit 0 to 6 months.
Hi in the video u say knit 42 st but in the written pattern it says 44, then k2tog, so which is it, it's confusing.
did you ever figure this out
How to make it for baby boy

i would like to make this for a baby doll can you tell me how many to cast on
+ruffianbreyerstar Well, I used a baby doll and it worked fine as is. If your doll is smaller I would suggest subtracting maybe 10 sts and then fit the pattern evenly across.
Everyone will want one thankyou
