I've just finished making this! Mine came out quite large (I think it would fit a 6-8 year old) but I did use slightly thicker wool and a 5mm needle. I'll try 4mm or less next time! Thank you for the lovely pattern 😊

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet

Yes the thickness of the yarn means a great deal to the size that you end up with.😊I recommend that you use the same yarn as in the pattern😊

Just finished this for my 8 month old in an olive green yarn and it turned out beautiful! ❤❤❤ Thank you so much for this tutorial! … I used a 31/2 yarn and 3mm hook; it turned out a bit small, I ended up adding a couple of rows and it worked! ❤

You're very welcome!😊 I'm thrilled to hear that your project turned out beautifully, and it's heartwarming to know that the tutorial was helpful for you. You are very welcome🥰 I'm glad to hear that your project turned out beautifully! Regarding your question about making six slip stitches at the end of two rows, that is to get the bonnet to bow slightly at the neck.

Hello :-) Thank You for your comment. The Bonnet I am making is in size 3-6 months. Here are some information about the yarn I am using:
      Yarn Group: B (20 - 22 stitches) / 8 ply / DK / worsted
      Weight/length: 50 g = approx 110 m
      Recommended needle size: 4 mm
      Knitting tension: 10 x 10 cm = 21 sts x 28 rows
