I like how you show that you make modifications to the design and improve the initial project. I appreciate that this is an iterative process and that you show it.
The quality of Japanese alloy steels was always high on my list of desirable materials when I worked in grinding room, I subscribed to your channel because you are using minimalist techniques & tools that are easy to reproduce.
Brilliant work my friend. What is the wood u used for this Router plane?? i ENJOYED WATHING HE WHOLE PROESS. The 1st blade not having the sharp corners on it means u struggle to get into tight corner? I must remember that when I attempt my build with a a few different HEX/Allen keys.. I have a nice piece of wood for it in my shop. I'm kinda thinking about using 2 different types of wood atm but I might just stick with the one. I like the style of this one u made. It give a lot more control on the wide side of the blade. That makes it easier to control??
Nice build sir, lovely clean finish on the tenon. The Stanley router planes has a 7° -10° angle of the cutting surface to base, lit ragged cut, your flat base leaves clean cut. Well done
Great video. You have built a great planer! 👍🏼 The knife is similar to that of a basic planer knife. Something like that is normal that you need a few attempts. Until the plane is how you want it to be. Have a nice weekend.
I have the same sort of thing but the blade faces into the body and cuts with a pull stroke. Also, the body is a single piece of wood with a hole for the cutter and a screw to hold it in place. I am more about getting a tool to the work than getting to work on a tool.
I see a good woodworker but a bad blacksmith. The steel to be forged after heating it to yellow-orange (ab. 1000°C), end forging when it's dark red slightly glowing (ab. 450°C). Alloy steeel better to be quenched in oil (also waste motor oil), tempering 200 °C. High alloy steels are self quenching, to be cooled in still air.

Clever idea, and I enjoyed the process of creating the router!

It doesn’t work at 90*. It just needs a little more to stop rocking of the router base

Have a nice weekend.
It would be really nice if you post a list of the items needed to do it. Thanks in advance !
Very useful video! Thank you very much!

Very intresting idea! Thank you for sharing your experience!!
Excellent idea! 👏👏
Really nice work, man! 😃
Looks great and works nicely!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
a very educational movie, also smooth corner vs edge corner difference

Bravo ! & so Usefull ! [
Great work, thanks for sharing.

Nicely done!
Very good and helpful. Arigato! 😊👍
Wow, thank you.
Very Good!!!
