I bought one brand new in 92..25th anniversary. .the sticker was 21,200..i had the t tops and 5.0 on mine..wanted a 5.7 but could not get one late 92..i hade the red with matching wheels and grey interior...wow that car is a classic and something i would hold on too..love that car
4 thousand miles! The motor is not even broken in good yet. I can never understand how or why someone could buy a car like this, and hardly ever drive it.

I agree this is collector condition. But no serious collector is going to buy a car that had holes punched in the front bumper for a front license plate. Deal breaker for me.....

The 305 4 barrel carburetor 5 speed manual would do circles around the 350 tuned port automatic, even though the 350 tuned port automatic had 95 more HP than the 305 4 barrel carburetor 5 speed manual you lost about 40 hp going through the automatic transmission and you lost abunch of take off torque with the automatic transmission because of the 323 rear end gears versus the 5 speed manual with 373 rear end gears. The 305 4 barrel carburetor 5 speed manual would smoke its aaassss on take off 0 to 60 or 1/4 miles and ever on the open hwy, the only reason the 3 gen camaro would only do 155 Mph is because the air at 155 mph would suck the windows out of the track causing it to catch wind and holinding the car back, it not for this flawed, 305 4 barrel carburetor 5 speed manual would probably do around 175 mph because at 155 mph 305 4 barrel carburetor 5 speed manual not yet even hit 4000rpm at 155 mph on the other hand the 350 tuned port automatic transmission was almost max out running 47000 rpms at 155 mph. We will never know what the top speed is on a 3rd gen camaro because of the windows sucking out away from the body at speeds between 150 and 157 mph, no matter how new the car is are how tight you have the windows rolled up they are going to suck out before you reach 158 mph, how do I know all of this cause I had a junk yard full of these 3rd gen camaros back in the mid 80s to 1996 and me and my dad worked at a GM dealer ship for over 20 years, I've driven hundreds of these camaro's. It's a myth that the reason GM didn't put a 5 speed behind the 350 tuned port because the 5 speed wasn't strong enough to handle the power of the 350 tuned port, which was a right out lie, I've seen this transmission hold up to over 400hp for over 100 thousand miles, I've torn up the rear end and the clutch twice but never that BorgWarner T-5.

My 1992 has the duck tail spoiler and a 350 5.7 l. Auto . it is called a 1LEB4C. One of 250. My 1990 1LE-IROC-Z is one of 28. It has 6.3 mi. on it.
