I built a similar layout on 2 levels and no reverse loop 20 or so years ago for my son. It was great fun having multiple trains running. Good luck with the layout.
Hello again my friend. I am so stoked that you're doing another project. I had a thought if you're interested. Being as your table is only 30" high, there is a very cheap way of raising it to help your back. In my real life, I do catering. We use these tables and we use 1" pvc pipe cut at 6", 8", or 10" lengths and slip them on the ends of the legs. That's it. Have a glorious week my friend and I look forward to your next video.
Hi James. Wow, do I have a lot to learn. Watched all the videos in this series and so helpful. Your layout is incredible! So I'm a first timer. Downloaded Anyrail and put together a triple track layout using Kato Unitrack. My question is, to get pieces to fit together it was trial and error, maddening actually, over and over again, until I got a clean connection. Drove me crazy. Sometimes I try every possible piece and they're still too short or offest. Is there a formula for knowing what tracks will connect? Or, better yet, is there a tool in Anyrail where you need to connect say, a diagonal. Something akin to choosing two open ends and auto connecting them together by adding the right piece(s). I feel like once I get over this hump I'll be on my way. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for checking out my videos. I’m sorry, I don’t have any experience in using Anyrail for track design, as I use SCARM. I know that in that program, there would also be some trial and error occasionally to get a “clean” perfect fit. And sometimes I’d know something should fit based on measurement but it wouldn’t show as a perfect fit on the design. It’s frustrating! Sometimes, an S64 64mm piece would NOT fit perfectly, but 2 x S32 32mm pieces would. Weird! So I can’t really help sorry, the best thing to do is just use the design software as a guide and know you’ll have to fudge a little with extra pieces sometimes to make it work. Good luck, buddy!
James, I'm really excited to watch your performance layout become real. I admired your work on your previous master piece. I have space constraints but want to put together a layout I can easily move around to run my collection of N scale trains. Are you designing this using Kato Track and on Scarm software? If you are, could you publish the parts list from Scarm? I know you'll do great! Thanks
Thank you! I am using Kato Unitrack and SCARM. I’ll send links to the file and the parts list as soon as it’s finalized, that is, what runs well on the table. That’s a few weeks away so keep checking it out!
Hi James, Wow, I like the look of your track plan. I'm looking forward to watching your new series. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
Thanks, Robert! Lots of design improvements planned so stay tuned!!
Hi James many thanks for sharing your layouts, Great work, keep em coming and stay safe.
Thank you!!!

Thanks, Matt! That’s a great idea!!
nice project James. you are a man possessed! I'll be starting a new layout myself soon. nothing like the excitement of a new build! Take care man :)
Thanks!
looks like it's going to be pretty wild good luck
Thank you!!
Looks great! Can't wait to see the progress. You might have to share that anyrail file. LOL😀
Thanks! It’s SCARM and I will share it, once it’s the final version. It’ll change I’m sure!
@@JamesTuverson That's right, I forgot you use SCARM. Chages are inevitable lol
