Urban Meyer literally kicked his kicker Lambo, when he was down, in the preseason.
Lambo was cut and he waited for his opportunity to strike back. And now he has.
Lambo kicked back, when Meyer was down, and Lambo's kick ended his NFL game forever.

I predicted last year that he would fail in the NFL, and he would expose himself as a small time player

Meyer could not use the excuse that his health was failing him. He used that one twice to get out of college contracts, when recruiting violations were coming his way. This time, Meyer was doing whatever he could to get fired because his salary was guaranteed. This was Meyer doing what he does best. Every move he made was calculated to be fired.

I really hope the Jags get somebody in there who can develop a QB. Not only was Meyer never going to work out in the NFL, but he couldn't develop a quarterback to save his life. No QB under urban Meyer has had sustainable success in the NFL since Alex Smith. No QB from his championships at Florida, no QB from his championships at OSU. We're talking about Heisman winning QBs with school records and more accolades that you can count, and every single one of them has been a bust in the NFL. What's funny is all these coaches Greeny talking about was so great in college simply won because at that level you win on the talent basically. Recruiting. They had the better talent, end of story. Not much you can say about them coaching the program to heights. They may have had isolated games where their play calling got them over a hump but over the long season or seasons, they did not display anything exemplorary. Give me a break. Only a few coaches on the collegiate level have done more than their talent would predict. Most have are par for the course or actually do less with more.

The way he acted it's like he wanted fired. Also where's Tebow he shoulda been Jacksonvilles QB lmao. Although I never did buy into Lawrence being some kind of elite nfl QB like he was going to be Peyton manning who can run. Could be wrong but we'll see

Texas Tech hired Bob Knight so yeah when you're that good there's a college out there that wants to rebuild there program they'll hire him. If fact l think there's universities that will get into a bidding war for him. I think he'll get multiple college coaching offers. He may not want to coach again for awhile if he gets the Jaguars to pay his remaining 4 year guarantee contract. He may take 4 years off.

Every week half the football teams have to lose and half win. To stay on as a head coach you must win more than half. If Meyer had been winning all this other stuff gets covered over and forgotten. It's all about winning, not how you do it.

Instead of joining the list of coaches successful in both college and professional such as Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer, and Pete Carroll, he's on a list with Steve Spurrier, Chip Kelly, Bill Peterson, and Lou Holtz. Coaches successful in college but tanked in the pros.

He reached the edge of his ability, but mostly, if life’s a game, then he didn't have any trouble in keeping up. Do I think it's surprising when Meyer lost his job? Unfortunately, the hiring process didn't meet my expectations. This situation doesn't seem to suit Urban, especially after I saw a documentary detailing his Florida incident as a high schooler. I understand, though, his wife's support for him paired with her acknowledgment of the mistakes he made, makes sense, but Urban Meyer swept the way of his mistakes aside even though his success has long seemed something of a mystery, to put it mildly. However, after that bar incident following his dismissal, it seemed odd since his wife highly regarded him.

A college could hire Urban Meyer and they could win football games, but they will have to sacrifice their organization's integrity to do it.
After a few years when this more or less blows over, he'll probably get another job.

Billionaire's generally are very smart people and Shad Khan is no exception. In most cases believe they are the smartest person in every room. In many cases, they'd be right, so it's hard to criticize Shad Khan for this. He was trying to make a big splashy hire with someone who is very popular and has already had huge success in his local market. If Urban Meyer would have won a Super Bowl here he would have a statue in front of the stadium. It was worth the risk in his mind. I never liked the hire, but I see the reasoning. He just never expected anything this bad. I personally thought he should have never let him back in the building after he took a private flight back to Jacksonville.
