I've been testing some stuff with Incineroar. Some useful stuff not mentioned. Down air can be used in true combos and spike at certain percentages. You have to dash for just an instant into a full hope if they're around 15%. It's hard to pull off but it's actually true if done perfectly. If you do a rising counter and you're moving towards your opponent, sometimes you'll keep your forward momentum and be able to easily combo out of the counter. I thought it only happened if you landed a counter on its first active frame, but I tested it on Parana Plants poison and it didn't work, so that's most likely not it. If somebody knows why it happens let me know. His uptilt hits people faster if you reverse it, but the move has more end lag because he still has to finish all of his moves. You can now combo people with his forward air if you use the weak hit. If you do a cross up with his forward air while landing the weak hit, it can combo into a grab. So at 0% weak hit cross up forward air, into down throw and then down air spike is a real combo. Yes it does kill if they're near the ledge, and yes if they don't tech the spike the combo can continue LOL. That's all I can think of right now. I'm not a pro or anything. I just like Inciniroar and wish he was better, so I've been playing him a lot more recently. BTW Buff Incineroar!!!
I hate that incin gets no attention. Been maining him literally since day 1 because he’s the most fun character to play in the game to me. Love this character
I have an Incineroar Amiibo that I nicknamed Garfield. I trained him up to level 50 and then gave him Slow Super Armour so he can be a sluggish fat bastard, like his name sake.
Too many people sleep on the Heel simply because of his speed and not-so-great recovery; of COURSE he's slow, that's his gimmick. He trades speed for incredible damage and kill power. If more players actually gave Incineroar a chance they'd see how good he can be.
i agree but the thing about slow characters is they just can't compete at a high level no matter how powerful they are you basically need mobility to compete against both good characters and good players that's why bowser's typically considered the best heavy, he's heavy and strong but still fast
He’s good for stomping people online but better characters that can take advantage of his recovery can wreck him offstage. Also players that jump a ton and don’t let him land too many side b’s can beat him fairly easily
I agree with M2K's note that there's not much use for Incineroar unless they make the stage list more inclusive or the devs finish buffing him. Right now his main use in competitive is teaching your friends the match-up so they don't get cheesed in tournament, and possibly doubles. It's a shame because otherwise M2K could become an exciting player to watch in tournaments. I'm hopeful for the future though!

Also am I the only one who hates the ditto, not becasue they aren't fun cus they are but whenever i see another incen maim on wifi I feel like im commiting a sin going toe to toe with another incen. I have a mutual respect for them cus we share the struggle.
TL;DR I have lots of knowledge and experience on incineroar and I will incorporate some of this but I think there are some things you glossed over or did not give enough credit to. I have been maining inceroar for a long time. These are definitely good observations and I definitely do think you have the knowledge and skill to say otherwise, but I do think differently on some of the things like up tilt is good because if people are right behind you when you are shielding, you can use up tilt to hit them up for combo into up air, and his nair actually beats quite a few other moves. his upsmash is an excellent punish for people who are jumping a lot. It has a little bit of priority against some air attacks, and can punish ZSS and jigglypuff and quite a few others for jumping too much. On jiggly and pichu it is a KO punish, but for others like heavies specifically, it gives you a free set up for up air.
I'm glad you mentioned that his Side B is more difficult to hit on larger characters like DK and K Rool because I always feel like a fool when I tell people that its harder lol I've been maining him since the game came out and definitely agree he's much better as a doubles character. Some things that also tend to get people are comboing Down thrown forward air into side b at 0, which works if they DI the forward air down or attempt to air dodge to get out of it, it does like 45 percent this character is crazy
The reason Up Smash Sucks so much is that its BKB and KBG are so ridiculously weird. Lots of Incineroar's moves are like that, actually. Up Smash has 94 BKB, 53 KBG. Which means it sends crazily far at low percents, but barely gets more knockback at higher ones. So it sends near the blastzone at like 80%, but doesn't actually cross that death mark till like 130-150% depending on character. And then moves like Down Smash (75 BKB, 71 KBG), Nair (50 BKB, 70 KBG), Bair (66 BKB, 73 KBG), Darkest Lariat (85 BKB, 47 KBG on the strong first hit), and Alolan Whip's Shoulder Throw (80 BKB, 50 KBG) have the weird skewed knockback too. There's nothing wrong with high Base Knockback, of course, it helps kill early. Smash attacks often have high base knockback, like how Ganon's F-Smash is 61 BKB, 75 KBG (damage also adds to knockback, of course). But at the same time, they make them really weirdly weak when killing across the stage. Strong Nair kills at like 100% at the ledge, which is great, but that means little when your opponent lives one at 180% because it sent the wrong way. Honestly, Incineroar needs a bit less BKB, more KBG on those moves, and others should have more damage. Why does a powerhouse like Incineroar have a hitbox on Bair that does 11%? That's barely more than Mario's Bair. Less than Pac-Man's. And needless to say, that hitbox barely kills. Please buff Incineroar, give him Ganon levels of damage and fix his knockback issues
I've mained Incineroar since I got the game. He's definitely not a low tier. He can kill you at 30 if you play your cards right. He's probably more of a low mid tier because his kill power is actually stupid.

Really Leffen is the only Melee player who is elite in Ultimate. Being able to cancel his UpB attack, and then getting a jump off it if he didn't use his aerial jump already would do wonders for him. I think if they did just that, he'd be a much more competitive character with better options for mixing up his approach and recovery to compensate for his slow speed. Kazuya gets a similar feature, so the precedent is already there.
dunno90 all heavies are better in doubles, and imo light combo characters are worse because you can die super early to the randomness that is doubles. Gannon is so scary in doubles because you can’t help being launched into a random smash attack lol
Still my main and I'm undefeated with Incineroar in my group of friends. I win most of my Elite smash matches as well... I don't believe he really sucks, he's at least one of the best mid tiers, and if you think that his recovery and slow speeld keep him down, watch Elegant compete with a character that also has a low speed and bad recovery. Prove me wrong!
Yeah but luigi has the the best combo game out of grab in the entire game, even possessing multiple 0 to death's, incineroar has nothing like that. Also beating your friends and winning in elite smash doesn't mean you play a good character.

Not that hes the most complex character. But hes my main, and my best character as far as results. Wolf was my maybe my best...but there was two things I didnt like about wolf... I never found too much uniqueness between me and any other wolf. Wolf is extremely straight forward. And sure any incineroar will use alot of over b... but I find my incineroar is quite good. Basic Inconeroars spam over b like there's no tomorrow, or if ur opponent is honestly dumb enough to allow u to land it over and over. But I beat alot of high or top tiers with him with equivalent skill levels as me. But I'm honestly the most aggressive off stage incineroar I've ever seen, which can be risky. Hes just such a fun character... I want at least 1 of 3 things, personally... less lag on his up b if u land on stage and miss the edge while recovering. A buff on his speed, even if it's just a tiny bit. And a higher vertical on his up b. Hopefully Mew2King can use his clout to make a change, but I doubt it lol cause Captain Falcon needs one and doesnt ever. But incineroar needs some buffs even worse... Respect to the Incineroar mains! Lol
Lots of people underestimate incineroar's edgeguard capabilities. I like to side b off stage just enough to miss grabing the ledge, then interrupt the opponents recovery with pretty much anything but bair, uair, and up b. Doesnt even hinder my recovery, since I refuse to double jump
I feel you on your wolf comment. I still co-main wolf but he just feels so boring because it feels like you’re constantly fishing for the same option and don’t really have any cool mixups.
It would be cool to see you learn Marth in this game and try to lab everything he has. His hit boxes are misleading, and his tippers feel smaller than ever, but with your fundamentals, and high level experience, I feel like you could make him work, and maybe you could get enough attention that Nintendo will realize that he's kind of broken (in a bad way) and fix some of his inconsistencies (at least visually.)

Trinidaddy incineroar has a easy 0-death.
Trinidaddy he does have 2-3 true zero to death combos on characters with bad recoveries, and it’s mad easy. His point is incin is underrated

If Incineroar's up smash dmg is garbage why haven't the devs buffed it? That just seems odd that a heavy hitter's smash attack is weak.
