I think DJI designed the mic 2's with wind resistance and ruggedness in mind. The plastic grill doesn't help with the quality so it needs a lav to sound as good as its competitors. I usually run the dialogue processor on Davinci on it and don't notice it sounding bad until you compare it to a really good sounding mic. BTW, you know your sound!
Thanks a lot . The lav mic really had a full range sound to it. Almost Shure level to me. Did you get that? Maybe I'm crazy for saying that but, hearing them one after the other I got that. It could use a little EQ and compression to get it right there. Lol. The hardest part was trying to get the levels to perfectly match. This is the first time I tried to match the audio and switch between the mics in this way in final cut.
@@TwoTimesRmedia DEFINITELY a much fuller sound. I've never used anything Shure level before but that would be an interesting comparison to see just how good it is.
