No but seriously, not even Batman could be that fast I believe. During gameplay, it's cool to do the fear takedowns, but it's a little lame because you don't need any skill to do it at all.

+iWillWakeYouUp Actually, he does. It's called "Consecutive CQC", which allows him to take down six people in a few seconds. If Batman and Big Boss fought each other, that would be epic, considering their physical and mental conditioning.

TheMexicanGangster Where'd the sense in the Arkham Knight telling his own men his advantages when he's going against his own men. What I mean is if you play as the Red Hood on AR challenges, regardless of using the Arkham Knight skin or not, the Arkham Knight will still tell them "he's in the grates!" or "lay down some mines!" or "buddy up!" even though you're the same person.

That just made me realize. Maybe Batman and his allies actually play these games as an additional form of preparation. Considering the kinds of plans and moves Batman is known for, him using video games as training may not be that far-fetched as it may sound.

I have grinded this predator challenge for quite a while now, my record is almost 400 kills and here’s some of the tips and tricks I’ve picked up:
Inverted takedowns as well as takedowns from grates are generally a bad call, with the adaptive AI the enemies will start to pick up on your tactics, this means mines being put on the vantage points and they will also start destroying them after a while. If you do vent takedowns, the enemies will use the fire bombs in the vents, making you unable to enter at that location, they will also start to check under the grates occasionally but that isn’t a huge deal as they say they are checking it before they do it, similarly with the vantage points, enemies will become more aware of them and will sometimes notice you sitting on one even if you haven’t made any noise. As these are your two best hiding options it is best to avoid attacking from these places.
It is best to use standing silent takedowns, corner takedowns, and in some situations ledge takedowns. These all replenish your fear takedown and will not significantly change how the AI behaves, though enemies will check ledges after a ledge takedown but you shouldn’t be hanging on ledges very much anyway. Corner takedowns have very good range and when the enemies investable start pairing up you will be able to grab an enemy from quite far away without alerting their buddy. You can attacks from grates without them destroying the grates by just hopping out, and then performing the takedown, this obviously takes a split second longer but the game will not consider it a takedown and will not adjust the AI as such.
The disruptor is your best friend, and you should use it as effectively as possible to succeed. Minigunners are one of the biggest threats to your health and if they spot you, will drain your health almost immediately. You can jam their guns once, however once they try to shoot and notice it’s jammed, they will fix it and you can’t jam it again. This will give you some leniency for getting spotted by them without instantly dying. It’s a good idea to disrupt mines that are inconveniently places and substantially interfere with your movement, mines placed on the stairs will be particularly inconvenient and should be dealt with. Jamming standard weapons and medic equipment is not usually recommended but it’s better than sitting on full charges without using any.
You can only use the voice synthesizer a single time, after that it will be ineffective for the rest of the run, I recommend using it to command a minigunner to a generator so you can hack it and KO him after he’s unjammed his gun, allowing for another one to respawn you can then disrupt.
For the most part just avoid the minigunner, he takes to long to beat down and is extremely unsafe, you can kill one with the voice synthesizer to get them to the generator in the corner of the map, maybe once when they’re walking over the skybridge with the other generator, and a last time by using explosive gel on the weak wall on the first floor, after that you’re out of easy ways to kill them.
Your goal should be to use fear takedowns every chance you have, throwing smoke before the takedown instead of after is usually better because sometimes the prompt to drop it quickly doesn’t appear and you can get shot before putting it down manually. After the fear takedown you should get another silent takedown or two while your smoke recharges, and rinse and repeat.
Patience is key, there’s a timer but it’s not usually relevant and most runs will end to getting shot, just wait for the right time and you will live a lot longer.

ugh yes i’ve just gotten to this level of thinking/gameplay. using the disrupter on gargoyles has been helpful to keep places that i can stay on (no inverted takedowns after it’s been neutralized but easier to move around/plan
Just use disruptor from mined vantage points then inverted takedown all you want

nice nice, but how do i stop em from seeing me through the walls as they spawn in while i use detective mode? im joking im sure its a bug or something but every now and then they do it.
This was just BEAUTIFUL! This guy made me finally realize why batman is so frightening to the bad guys. He was just so quick and everywhere and he kept drooping bodies left and right
+Silver Wolf Boi, this guy is just so good and makes batman extremely frightening, I am SHOOK! He is the reason why I try to always complete boss battles and predator battles with no damage. Though that has also led me to constantly restarting everything even when it's not needed
Some sad knick fan frankly I’m the same, but I make it much harder by trying to play red hood instead, I always restart and try to get a pin perfect play but usually fail

at one point i had over 3000 kills and 159 mins on the timer and got hit twice the lag got so bag game crashed

So I've actually seen medics bring back people with bad cases of snapped neck and shot in the head...But theres no coming back from that kind of ass kickery.

Anyone else think it would've been better to have a endless mode in all maps? Same premise in that you are given a time limit that extends every enemy you take out. And as the challenge goes on enemies become more and more difficult

@@ice2557 this map already isn’t that unique as it is, there’s already a standard predator challenge for this map they just adapted an endless predator map out of it. They could do that for all maps

For people who aren't the actual Batman: Just keep using the smoke bombs. They regenerate pretty fast and let you take out like 5 enemies without fail every time you use them. Bomb them, take them out, get to a vantage point, wait for it to regenerate, repeat. Works especially well once they start crowding around the area.

The Militia are amazing antagonists. They have a great personality and are clearly the most dangerous faction Batman has ever faced. They are also professional.

+barrymk400 Actually, no. Shooting thugs doesn't add time and it won't let you pull out your guns at areas where the enemies can't shoot you back. I was mildly disappointed when I couldn't just play the sniper like I usually do!

I love the fact that they used this map. I guess people don't realize how difficult it probably was to make an infinite predator challenge at all. The alogorithm for spawning alone was probably hell.

I have figured out his tactics, instead of going for the ones separating, he uses fear and he gets that every time he does a silent takedown, so 1 silent take down= a group of enemies down, if he continues this he’ll be unstoppable

I’d like to consider this almost the ‘freestyle’ predator map. you’re on your toes the whole time and need to make split second decisions while the ai starts to adapt to your tactics.

Good quick and efficient work. No damage taken. You make it look easy. My best score is 211, with Batman and 191 with Azrael, but I take a lot of chip damage, once there's about 15 soldiers running around. Its so damn hard to get close to that score again.

I've always wanted a Daredevil game that has very similar predator sections like Arkham. Arkham still has some of the best stealth in video games!

I don’t think this is common knowledge because I’ve never seen anybody else do it, but, you can take out the mini gunner when he’s standing on the glass floor by throwing a batarang at the floor, breaking it.

Honestly getting this achievement was pretty fun as well as one of the most chaotic experiences I've had with this game, especially when the enemies booby trapped every vantage point and I ended up doing a mad dash for the final enemy

I’m just here imagining how it’d be to be the goon at 7:45 seeing Batman jumping into the gas cloud, hearing bone crackling noises, and seeing him gone with all your buddies on the ground.

It must be so scary for the militia having your friends around being taken out one by one without hearing or seeing anything
When you take militia so fast that you could literally get a quick lunch, come back, realize you forgot to pause, then still recover.
I've been training on stealth with this map and the best possible way to take out enemies is to place explosive gel all around the map alert the ai to the gel and blow it .Also corner takedowns are super effective as it dose not alert any ai. and to take out the mini gunners make sure to hack generators while they're near it to instantly take him out. Also try not doing to many inverted take downs because they start placing bombs on vantage points and vantage points are key to movement around this map. Also think about your tactics before you think about taking someone out it could cost you. also smoke bombs are super effective with groups of militia as you can use your fear to take them all out without getting spotted
finally a AR challenge worth my time
Incredible..... A Predator Challenge Map that has the 240% Gold Prestige Suit in action. Very Awesome, if only I can see this suit in action. Just like the Earth-2 Dark Knight skin. Can you make that happen Batman Arkham Videos?

I managed to get 144 after learning to use smoke bombs for pretty much everything. Disruptor, avatar any, smoke bombs and the one time use of the voice manipulator.
fun tip: use the smoke bomb on like 4 people (make sure its upgraded fully) and fly in there and it will let you just straight up take them down, you can get 4 people even though its really risky cos the smoke is almost fully dissipated yet they still cant see you lol. 4 free extra people and a bonus 100 seconds on the clock.

Considering my average was about yours, using smoke bombs increased my efficiency by around 300%.
Also, fear multi takedowns
Done over 200, forgot exact number..
It became easier when I found out I can use dual batarangs when there are only 3 people by themselves to knock them down and do a ground takedown
It's situations like this where I kinda missed having the Remote Claw from Origins. It was pretty satisfying to watch the bad guys get yoinked into the air

That's Rocksteady for ya. Almost all of Knight's dlc can be described as choosing the easy (and disappointing) way out.

And no, he did not loose any health or get shot even once during that time...
This is by far the fastest I've seen BAV go.
