@thegreatacolyt1277 I don't have stickers for graphics, so the remasters don't bother me too much. I grew up playing on an Atari 2600 and a Commodre 64 before we got a Sega. I just put on the animated costume and try to re-enact the animated series. I like the quicker load times, too
please dude 🙏 i grew up on these games man, i just 100% knight for like the 4th time lmao. btw please don’t forget to play origins if you do play the series, it has the most bugs but i personally think the boss fights themselves are the best
This game had the most comic book- style gritty Batman feel out of all of them honestly. Surprised how you just played it tho it's a classic. Just wait till you get to Arkham City and Knight, that shit is the bomb fr
I really liked the Arkham games. Arkham Asylum is better than Arkham City, imho. Felt somewhat tighter than the bigger City. At some point, for me at least, all the sidequests got tedious.
I played City, Asylum, and Origins on my PS3 in that order. Asylum felt more layered, but City had better combat. I have never played Knight, and I will after I finish the remastered version of City.
@@davidbreier84to be fair any of the games could reasonably be someone’s favourite. They’re all best at something, it just depends on what aspect you value the most

Heads up to you: you cannot counter when doing a ground takedown. You will do more damage if you keep your combo up. Best way to do this is go from enemy to enemy, punching and countering. I wouldn’t really recommend doing a ground takedown unless everyone is on the ground, or it’s the last one left. They’ll get KO’d after so many hits without having to get knock them out on the ground. Hope that helps
One of my best childhood games, also try not to spam the x button and just hold a direction an tap it so that way either ready to attack or counter and you build up a combo, also only do ground takedown if you're absolutely sure they won't hit you.
If your gonna make this into a series few tips the games dont tell you. To start freeflow combat you need a 3x combo you can button mash up to 3 then after that just hold the direction and tap to stay in the freeflow state it feels so smoooth to play. Enjoying your video and channel man keep it up (also make sure to play arkham origins after city dont sleep on it).
You should definitely try the remastered version for Arkham City if you turn this into a series! It will feel a lot smoother and it keeps the same nostalgia as the original. Loved the vid!
As much as the game shows it's age, the game is still great to play through. Btw, enemies will always attack you when you do a ground takedown, so it's best to save it for when all of the enemies are down or if the rest of them are far enough away.
Arkham games universe's Bats is a menace. If he will be a boss fight in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League (Its the same universe) which he probably will be, they should give him Jedi Fallen Order's Darth Vader treatment.
the fighting in the Arkham games is so good, it basically set a standard for those types of games, pretty sure the spiderman games took heavy inspiration from the arkham system
At 13:24 i love how u see the guards Get shot and killed then one of the inmates says anyone comes in here is Dead You at 13:38 yea what about batma- dies😂😂😂
Love you and the Arkham series if you continue to play this, there is a Spider-Man stealth takedown it is a upgrade called inverted takedown it’s a life saver
Arkham Asylum's gameplay and combat were way ahead of its time and to this day I still have a tonne of fun with this game, my only gripe with the combat is that during a combo I would try to hit an enemy but the hit wouldn't register and Batman would just punch thin air and this would often cause me to lose my combo, this is something that they fixed in the sequel Arkham City. But for a game that came out 15 years ago the combat is very impressive.
As a 26 year old who grew up with the games, I would say that the second game deserved its hype, the other two needed to have a lot of fixing done to them.
My fav trio of games to date......they nailed it, play through from the start, all 3 of them.......the canadian ones, are ok, but rocksteady nailed the 3 games......for what ever reason, I barely game these days (just fortnite).......but having a game to play through like this, I loved at the time.....I just don't seem to have the patience or time these days
Bruh you're in for a treat. I'd say this game is the second best among all Arkham games, just after city. Probably just as good. IDK what you were doin' all these years bruh!!
I think I'm weird asf. I borrowed a copy of this game from a guy at my high school and finished it and hated the whole thing. Then I tried it a second time like 2 years later and loved it to death.
@christophermercado7434 The only 2 game types I've been able to play on the hardest difficulties are stealth and shooter games. 3rd or first person. Sometimes, they mix the two with a rare balancing act. As some lean on the shooter side, while others lean into the stealth. Not much has changed about these types of games since the 90s, and my experiences always serve me well. Different action games mess me up. Trying to go from GOW to DMC can be quite the headspin.
Yes, this game was a blast to play. Kevin Conroy was still voice acting as Batman and maybe Mark Hamill as the Joker...? The pacing was better than the Sequel. I couldn't finish the 2nd game due to the pacing and navigation of the events in the city. But that's just me.
I know it's probably too late now but regarding the graphics for anyone else checking comments, the game actually looks great when you lower the brightness (at least on pc). For some reason the game's base brightness is really high even on default (50%) making the colors and lighting look kinda washed out. Putting it somewhere between 10-20% really enhances the atmosphere and experience without costing vision (besides, you have bat-vision for that).
Sameeee I've played Arkham City since I was a kid and I played both Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight on launch. I did have Arkham Asylum back in the day but I never got into it. And what's crazy is I have the Arkham Collection and I've been replaying Arkahm City and Knight but not Asylum 😭😭😭😭
I bought this when it was on sale on the Xbox store on the 360 around about 2010, not hearing about it (was out the loop when it came to gaming for a little while) best decision I made. Great game and so is the rest, I quite liked Arkham Origins to even though its the weakest.
Man you're videos are so funny hahahaha wtf, continue with that AWESOME job! And Batman trilogy is something else, the first one is my favorite game of the heroe genre
It's always a treat to see someones very first impression of something you've been an all time fan of for years.
