While I don't consider myself to be a 'ballet kind of guy', my wife and I happened to see this piece at the Mar 15th matinee; it was one of the most profoundly moving experiences I have ever had. My deepest compliments to the PNW Ballet for such a skillful performance.
This video contains two of my favorite moments from "Front Porch": One of Elizabeth Murphy's three jetés as she travels downstage left (at 0:11) and the elaborate gestural sequence for the three women in plié in second (0:47 to 1:02). Ms. Murphy is both precise and beautifully expressive here-very much the equal of the two soloists!

I remember seeing Lindsi, Arianna, and Patricia do this back when I was rediscovering Ballet. It did truly change my life. Funny (I could guess) but I have no idea who the male dancers were.
Does anyone know how to find -- or has a copy of the complete performance of Standing on the front portch of heaven?? I once had a VHS copy, but have lost it. And can't find it online anywhere. Please - anyone... i adore this lovely piece of work, and would love to find a way to come back into contact with it. Mahalo nui

I almost lost it during this performance. It simply resonated with me to my core. It is good to feel.

I was at the Royal opera in Stockholm seeing this ballet as we were informed about the death of Ulysses Dove the very same day.
The dark purple is Elizabeth Murphy and the light purple is Laura Gilbreath.
