Our toxic trait as mediators: extreme introversion and isolation as well as depression, anxiety, and high expectations for realities that only truly exist in our imagination
Dear Psych2Go Narrator, What is your MBTI personality type? I am a INFP, so writing things down that I like about myself can sometimes prove to be quite difficult. Oftentimes, I see myself as worthless. Not to the point of being suicidal, but sometimes I feel like I have nothing to contribute, so I can't imagine where/who I want to be in the future. Things that make me feel thankful to be alive include enjoy my favorite/trying new foods, and listening to music and podasts/video essays. I also call my mom everyday to talk about my day and how I'm feeling. It truely helps to know that I have someone to share my thoughts/ideas with. Thank you mom. And thank you Psych2Go Best, INFP "The Mediator"
As a campaigner this has been my fatal flaw many times. Most notable example being the narcissistic relationship I got out of, when I gambled for 8 years that she would change for the better.
As a fellow campaigner myself, and someone who got out of a 6 month narcissistic relationship, I totally feel you and I relate with what the video said. I never second guessed other's actions but now due to my fear of being hurt again, I have saved myself from many other negative relationships but in the good ones, I always question it and might accidentally ruin it. But we got it friend, we can do whatever we want and better ourselves! 🌸
I'm actually borderline NFP and almost married someone I was not in love with because he was in love with me and I thought I could grow to love him. He got possessive and controlling, and thankfully it came out before the would-be wedding day and I saw the red flags in time and managed to get up the courage to back out after talking to my aunt on the phone one day. I guess we are very easily taken advantage of, I certainly have been!
I’m also a campaigner and have my fair share of (probably) narcissist stories myself actually, mainly because he shows some strong signs of being one. I remember it taking me so long to actually realize what was going on with the guy and that what he was doing is not okay
I'm INTP and because of my perfectionist personality, I end up doing it at the last moment and get decent results after. It doesn't sound good or bad, but there is no improvement. I'm tired of being like this. Also, gratitude is really important in my life because once, my classmate shared with me how to study well(even though I'm a huge procrastinator) but after that, she said she envies me for having great grades this quarter(not rudely or disrespectfully). That made me realize I did enough last semester. I was silent for seconds after she said that. She's great at dancing so I encourage her to pursue it but was doubting her ability in academics and I said you can improve.
I’m ENTP and the tip was spot on. Over the past year I get in trouble for questioning my teachers belief a lot to the point that I got called by the principal. They lectured me a lot about “Being too proud” “Talking too much” “Arguing” and “Can’t take criticism”. The tip mentioned in the video is the one I use starting a few months ago, I have less talk backs with my parents and I try to shut up when my opinion isn’t welcomed. Which is very irritating the first few days but I’ve learned to just forget about my opinions that bring more harm than good.
As an old ENTP I can tell you that we have to battle our inner voice every single day. For us, that inner voice usually comes when we’re listening to someone and we disagree or simply want to put the person or the idea to the test (which is most of the time because, well, we love contrasting opinions). Not long ago I started asking myself: is the situation going to improve if I say what’s in my mind? If the answer is no, I remain quiet and just listen. It took me years to learn that and, same as you now, I got in a lot of trouble for questioning everything all the time. With time you’ll find people with whom you can be yourself 100% because they’re either ENTP as well (warning: debates get intense, but fun nonetheless) or they just love you the way you are. At least this is my experience. Wish you the best!
I'm mostly INFP (I sometimes got INTP/INFJ though) I like the advice, though making a list of things you like/love about yourself is really tough. There might not be anything to write down, or only answers that you're doubtful of. (I don't really trust MBTI as a concept. It has one extremely niche use for me, which comes down to understanding fictional characters / writing them)
I'm an INTP-T, but there were a lot of other things I related to throughout this video! Also I love this art style and the designs for each of the personalities 💖
@@SangheiliSpecOp yeah being an INTP comes with its ups and downs haha, but that applies to every personality type. So let's just focus on the ups and work on the downs if necessary!
okay so update: I took the test again and got INTP-A lol. And I feel like that's more accurate because I read about the difference between INTP-T and INTP-A and the latter definitely fits me much better
As an INFP/mediator I mostly agree ...except I'm a social introvert so I meet people almost daily, but when I need my alone time, I'll be miserable if I'm with people
I'm an INFP and I've been questioning my social status, and if I really enjoyed my friends. When I would hangout or talk, of course I would, but whenever I get home I won't come out for a long time with very little talking. Thx I needed it lol
As an entp, I had this epiphany when I was about 8 and my friend was crying on a field trip. I immediately wanted to know why (Ti) in order to give her ideas on how to fix the issue (Ne, Fe). But she repeatedly said she didn’t know why and just cried. I was so confused and overwhelmed until a teacher came and just hugged and comforted her without asking anything. That’s when I was like “oh wow you don’t have to know what’s going on to console her!” Lol
ISTP here. I have so many hobby projects I've started, but never finished before moving on to the next project. Edit: just re-did the test since it's been a while since I did one last, and got ISTP-A
ISTJ- super accurate. I have my routine and I crumble in upon myself if it is interrupted. I recently took a vacation with my bestie and felt like I was going to perish. I didn't have my routine. I had a great time, but my mental health took a hard hit after.
As a ISFP-T I can agree that I get overwhelmed. Especially when I have a panic attack. I tried journaling but I barely manage to make it a habit. Thx for making this video Psych2go!
oh fantastic another thing that could be the reason i self isolate (infp here) i like to think it's actually adhd making me forget (bc that actually happens a lot) and anxiety making me worry about how the person will respond once i realize i've been ghosting them for a month (usually happens to my sister tho so i don't feel anxious about her responses) i'd rather it be those than my personality bc with personality it's actually me being a pos 😭
I forgot my test results (and I'm too lazy to take it again) but I really needed this. A lot of the tips would really help me and I think I'm gonna try a few.
You can do the 16 personalities test but I would recommend you to later learn cognitive functions, because the test isn't always valid and you can understand your type better once you know cognitive functions. :)@@johannahanna9668
I recognized myself in both the ENFJ and the INFJ sides. Still though I don't know what self-care means. Could reading philosophical books count into this? Otherwise, my problem actually is when my plans don't go straight ahead. But recently I've found my way around it and don't get frustrated as easily as I used to. Meeting my childhood celebrity hero helped as well.
I’m also an INFJ, and often forget to schedule in self-care. Self-care can be anything that helps you relax or wind down. If you want to read philosophy books just because you like them, that could be a form of self-care
I recently took the test and my results are INTJ-T ( I have never heard of this before ). I'm strongly between INTJ & INTP my whole life. With this video explaining the toxic traits of all the 16 personality I can agree it's true. Which I also find intriguing how they found so many different personalities
@@FireRams_arisinglion I’m ENTP and it is for me. over the past year I get in trouble for questioning my teachers belief a lot to the point that I got called by the principal. Don't dwell on the things you've done, focus on how to become someone you would be proud of. We all do mistakes and we can all improve from them. Stay strong 🌸
16p isnt a very reliable test. because in mbti there is no “turbulent” and “assertive”, those can be explained with wings. i suggest sakinovra for those who dont know their personality
I am realizing that I cannot be assigned to “a personality trait”, it changes based on how much sleep I get, how much sport I do and when, what project I am working on and how long or even how long I socialize with a specific group of people, different groups of people have different effects on us, which based on the personalities listed here, would move people to a different “personality trait”.
wow advocate absolutely hit home thats crazy. Its like.. After a huge event lets say, I guess recently it was this huge school dance, after that I thought for a second im like "hm welp that was fun.. OH WAIT MY NEW GAMES COMING OUT That i been waiting a year for!" ...couple days later that comes out.. Literally play it for three hours and apprieciate it for less.. and then im immediately like "OH Halloweens in a couple weeks" and it just goes on and on especially if its something That exhausts me like, As a parttime worker I work both days of the weekend all day, so Im always looking forward to monday instead of friday even though I have school because it is better than work.. and it just goes on and on its crazy, Im gonna try to schedule some time in for myself a week, I love baths but I just don't have the time for them. Now, I don't have an excuse! Thanks Psyche2go I been watching your channel for years now!
Im not an ISTP, but I found that tip to be very helpful. I often feel like I spend my time poorly and don't do what I really want to do because I'm too busy or burnt out. I think planning a bit of time for it as I would with my school assignments would help a lot. :)
I am an ISFP and am already way ahead of you. Whenever I get too stressed, I usually grab a pen, paper, and do what I call a “Mind dump” where I put everything that’s stressing me down on paper. It helps me get some distance and perspective on the problem, and really helps me feel better faster. It doesn’t make the problem go away, but it does help me process it.
Why...was INFP so on point?? Me turning into a hermit is indeed a bit of an issue. 😧 I don't fully buy into these, but they do have their merit and have some truth in them, don't they? 😂
oh.. yeah as an INTP this is pretty much relatable although it's rare for me to thank a person specifically, and i just simple thank everyone and i bottle up my important ideas and yes i get a tantrum for my wonderful idea not being chosen. it is mediocrity it's unacceptable to not appreciate what i have done
Always here for the friggin' cute animations! 😍 I'm not certain which one I really am since I took the test but the description doesn't fully describe me. 🦀
My most recent test labeled me as an Adventurer, which describes me fairly well. Not too long ago I started keeping a notebook and a pencil practically 3/4ths of every day. You wouldn't believe my surprise when you suggested journaling.
As a logician myself, You are very much correct, but luckily I’ve already started implementing things very similar to these habits, and it has been helping me to at least a noticeably decent degree.
As an INTJ I always try to break down emotions by using logic. It kind of works, especially with different cases. Anger as example, anger is depending on the person, the situation, their actions and all that. It's easy to break it down and it makes me understand why they feel that way, despite that I cannot 100% comprehend their situation because I am not them
I'm an INFJ and I wasn't AT ALL expecting her to say what she said about me, that I need to take breaks because I put so much of myself into everything. It's true, and I wasn't expecting for my throat to be gone for lol. This video meant alot to me, thank you
I’m pretty sure I’m an Ambivert, so both ENFP and INFP fit me well. I do have Rose glasses to a lot and I admit I’m pretty naïve. However, if I use too much of my energy, I tend to isolate for days or maybe a week or two or three. Though I have been going out still so that part is no problem. I should consider the pros and cons though instead of impulsively just diving right in.
My toxic trait is clingyness :c I mean, some kind of greed of intimacy, which leads to kinda ignoring boundaries of others... INFP here btw, I know, it isn't probably common to my type
As an INTJ I say thank you for giving me advice because I’m very insensitive and single minded 💀 and don’t take other people emotion seriously so thank you🤭
I’m an INFP and I definitely self isolate. Recently, I made it a goal to go up to at least one person and start a conversation or give them a compliment everyday. And I also learned how to communicate with others and not be a people pleaser all the time.
The INFP one is so true! I have like three friends, and I still self isolate myself even when they are available. I’m also extremely emotional and don’t want to draw attention to myself, leading me to be pretty closed off.
I already took that personality quiz. It is spot on. My personality type is logical. Everything is correct except my family doesn't think so. But we aren't getting along, so they only see one side of me. They are the only ones who don't actually know me.
Many toxic people do not even realize how toxic they are. But then, I believe if we all take the time to truly examine ourselves, then we can discover our toxic traits and work on them. Only then can the world become better.
I am an ENFP Oh... you are so right about wearing rose glasses. I feel like i keep taking them off, but after removin 20 rose glasses off my face, i stil keep realising that i am wearing more. 🤦🏼♀️ At least my figure was wearing a dolphine on her head. How cool is that!. 😎😄

Our toxic trait as mediators: extreme introversion and isolation as well as depression, anxiety, and high expectations for realities that only truly exist in our imagination
unrelated to the videos topic, but oh my goodness that animation was so smooth! props to the animators on this one like holyyy
Dear Psych2Go Narrator,
What is your MBTI personality type?
And thank you Psych2Go
Best,
INFP "The Mediator"
@@Lavenderrose73 that must have taken a lot of courage. Glad you did it ❤️
Same I feel you 😪 🤷🏽♀️
I’m also a campaigner and have my fair share of (probably) narcissist stories myself actually, mainly because he shows some strong signs of being one.
I remember it taking me so long to actually realize what was going on with the guy and that what he was doing is not okay
As a Logician or INTP I can relate to toxic perfectionism and hyper focusing, it is ever so present in my life.
The visuals are sooooo cute!
My opinion on MBTi is that… there aren’t enough! I constantly get different answers depending on the test 🤷🏽♀️
I'm mostly INFP (I sometimes got INTP/INFJ though)
I like the advice, though making a list of things you like/love about yourself is really tough.
There might not be anything to write down, or only answers that you're doubtful of.
(I don't really trust MBTI as a concept. It has one extremely niche use for me, which comes down to understanding fictional characters / writing them)
According to my test I was 72% introverted which I was very surprised about!
I thought for sure it would’ve been higher!
Lol
Mine was 100%
I'm an INTP-T, but there were a lot of other things I related to throughout this video! Also I love this art style and the designs for each of the personalities 💖
INTP-T here too!
@@HyperNovva Same here :)
or sometimes :( lol
@@SangheiliSpecOp yeah being an INTP comes with its ups and downs haha, but that applies to every personality type. So let's just focus on the ups and work on the downs if necessary!
@@HyperNovva same
okay so update: I took the test again and got INTP-A lol. And I feel like that's more accurate because I read about the difference between INTP-T and INTP-A and the latter definitely fits me much better
As an INFP/mediator I mostly agree
...except I'm a social introvert so I meet people almost daily, but when I need my alone time, I'll be miserable if I'm with people
Love the animation style used for this video. SO CUTE!!!
I'm glad you like it
I'm an INFP and I've been questioning my social status, and if I really enjoyed my friends. When I would hangout or talk, of course I would, but whenever I get home I won't come out for a long time with very little talking. Thx I needed it lol
The artstyle is so cute and unique!!!
😂😂
The ENFP one is so true. I always trust people I probably shouldn’t.
Hey I loved this video... I am an INFP and I loved the avatars for 16 personalities... They are soooooo cute 🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️✨
5:41 as an ISTJ this has to be the most relatable thing I’ve heard for today haha
INFP, and damn now I understand why I'm avoiding people

NO… ok maybe.
Why?

oh fantastic another thing that could be the reason i self isolate (infp here) i like to think it's actually adhd making me forget (bc that actually happens a lot) and anxiety making me worry about how the person will respond once i realize i've been ghosting them for a month (usually happens to my sister tho so i don't feel anxious about her responses) i'd rather it be those than my personality bc with personality it's actually me being a pos 😭
I forgot my test results (and I'm too lazy to take it again) but I really needed this. A lot of the tips would really help me and I think I'm gonna try a few.
How do you take the test? I wanna know what i am:D
Yeah read/listen it’ll help, recommend stoicism first, books on Shinto and then the tried and true Carl Jung later on
I’m also an INFJ, and often forget to schedule in self-care. Self-care can be anything that helps you relax or wind down. If you want to read philosophy books just because you like them, that could be a form of self-care
I am also infj but if I do relax I don't get the satisfatof being proactive. The only time I relax is reading a book at night
I love the artist a lot ❤
I recently took the test and my results are INTJ-T ( I have never heard of this before ). I'm strongly between INTJ & INTP my whole life. With this video explaining the toxic traits of all the 16 personality I can agree it's true. Which I also find intriguing how they found so many different personalities
How do you do the test? :]
the art is so cuuuute
ENTP
You are spot on. Learning to ask if my opinion is wanted has been a big thing for me the past few years
@@FireRams_arisinglion I’m ENTP and it is for me. over the past year I get in trouble for questioning my teachers belief a lot to the point that I got called by the principal. They lectured me a lot about “Being too proud” “Talking too much” “Arguing” and “Can’t take criticism”. The tip mentioned in the video is the one I use starting a few months ago, I have less talk backs with my parents and I try to shut up when my opinion isn’t welcomed. Based on the negative traits I have been able to deduce I have a personality; Possibly all of them.
Love the drawings
I never realized how toxic I can be....
Don't dwell on the things you've done, focus on how to become someone you would be proud of. We all do mistakes and we can all improve from them. Stay strong 🌸
@@FireRams_arisinglion mental health advice is not "cringe" so hope u have a better day
16p isnt a very reliable test. because in mbti there is no “turbulent” and “assertive”, those can be explained with wings. i suggest sakinovra for those who dont know their personality
The animation in this video is SO perfect, I loved every single illustration
Today we are celebrating vijadashmi (check on web) in India ...so honestly this is very relevant today... 👍🏼
Ok, not related to the theme but I LOVEEEEEED today's illustrations!!!
Thank you so much💕
"INTJ," at last: you REMEMBERED us!!!
ENTJ and I always work on being more empathetic.
I love the animations! The animals on their heads suit their personality so well!
Aww, thank you so much!! Is this your favorite animation so far? :)
yeah I think it is!! :)
The animation on this video is looking sharp!! I'm amazed by it!
Happy to hear that! Is this your favorite animation so far? :)
@@Psych2go Yeah!
Yes healthy INTJ we care about how people feel, we take care to not offend them.
I absolutely loved the art in this video. Adorable and memorable. And all of it very informative. Thank you.
Shout out to the INFJs :3
Since I am an ENTP, I always make my friends cry, and then I simply don't care. :[
wow advocate absolutely hit home thats crazy.
Narcissit worshipper! DELUDED and secretly evil personality type, that is ISFP.
I hope I wasn’t the only one that was excited to see what animal hat/person would be my personality
I was really surprised to know that the first is almost a perfect description of my personality
The little dudes are sooo adorable 😍😍
Oh cool! Glad you like it :)
ENFP and the rose colored glasses are totally true lol 😬😬🥰 but it's all with love always ♾️ ❤️
My most recent test labeled me as an Adventurer, which describes me fairly well. Not too long ago I started keeping a notebook and a pencil practically 3/4ths of every day.
You wouldn't believe my surprise when you suggested journaling.
The animations on this video are amazing 🤩✨️
Aww, thank you so much!! Is this your favorite animation so far? :)
@@Psych2go yes it is✨️
And the art style is really cute too and adorable 🥰
Especially when the look directly at the camera/forth wall😂
As a logician myself, You are very much correct, but luckily I’ve already started implementing things very similar to these habits, and it has been helping me to at least a noticeably decent degree.
As an INTJ I always try to break down emotions by using logic. It kind of works, especially with different cases.
Anger as example, anger is depending on the person, the situation, their actions and all that. It's easy to break it down and it makes me understand why they feel that way, despite that I cannot 100% comprehend their situation because I am not them
Thanks, I am right nineteen out of twenty times if not more. I am wrong from time to time though. - INTJ
Loved this animation style
I am 100% INFP and it comes in the form of agoraphobia. It’s my toxic trait for sure. I hope one day I’ll have a more secure personality!
omg I love this particular type of animation!
I'm an INFJ and I wasn't AT ALL expecting her to say what she said about me, that I need to take breaks because I put so much of myself into everything. It's true, and I wasn't expecting for my throat to be gone for lol. This video meant alot to me, thank you
I love this, I feel like I'm understood and know myself a bit better now! Also, these are some of my FAVORITE CHARACTER DESIGNS, THEY'RE SO CUTE!! :D
As an INTJ I say thank you for giving me advice because I’m very insensitive and single minded 💀 and don’t take other people emotion seriously so thank you🤭
This creativity that put in this animation is massive amazing and i'm here for😻❤
I’m an INFP and I definitely self isolate. Recently, I made it a goal to go up to at least one person and start a conversation or give them a compliment everyday. And I also learned how to communicate with others and not be a people pleaser all the time.
wow you do a great job
I see so many of my fellow INFPs in these comments 😅 glad to know I’m not the only one watching these and feeling similar
I'm an INFP too :).I think there's a lot of us on the Internet because we're introverted lol
Thank you! As a ISFJ, I needed this advice. Btw, the art style is very cute! I love it!
I really like this art style
I feel so called out 😂. But this is very spot on for me and my friends
Many toxic people do not even realize how toxic they are. But then, I believe if we all take the time to truly examine ourselves, then we can discover our toxic traits and work on them. Only then can the world become better.
I recommend watching the whole thing, not just your personality type! Just good, overall advice for everyone.
I am an ENFP
Oh... you are so right about wearing rose glasses.
I feel like i keep taking them off, but after removin 20 rose glasses off my face, i stil keep realising that i am wearing more. 🤦🏼♀️
At least my figure was wearing a dolphine on her head. How cool is that!. 😎😄
This style is so adorable, I love it :")
